Why I wish Woody Allen was in charge. Update!

Man that is SO much better than the order that things happen now.

Update: Well this is embarrassing

So I guess my next question is does the quote seem more palatable now that we know it is NOT attributed to Woody Allen?

  1. Woody Allen is so under-appreciated. My fav Woody quote is "If only God would give me some clear sign! Like making a large deposit in my name in a Swiss bank."

I've always liked Woody Allen's statement that he was "at two with nature." I'm the same way. In my case it's allergies to most everything that grows, especially in the spring and early summer.

Where is the part where you cover your adopted daughter and them marry her?

Where is the part where you covet your adopted daughter and then marry her? [Fixed]

I'm guessing he "covered" her and "coveted" her.

As funny as that is, I won't post it on my face book for that exact reason. Gross.

this isnt a woody allen quote, nor is it a george carlin quote.

"It has been brought to our attention that the actual performer of the living life backwards piece is Sean Morey. Turns out Sean Morey wrote it in the 70's and even performed it on "The Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson in the 80's. The original performance was quoted as follows:

"I think the most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A death! What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you're too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work for forty years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement! You go to college, you do drugs, alcohol, you party, you have sex, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating.... You finish off as a gleam in somebody's eye.""

That is pretty funny, but it is hard to laugh at something written by a person of such low morality. His past behavior over-rides the humor. I'm glad he isn't in charge. Eeewwww...

Knowing it's not Woody Allen makes it easier and more palatable. Doesn't change the essence of what was said. I struggle with that.

I like the sentiment, no matter whom said it first.

Much more palatable. Woody Allen is a perv & doesn't even approach George Carlin in talent or character.

It just goes directly to their thighs.
