Wing-nut freak out of the day: President Obama responded to the death of film critic Roger Ebert FASTER than he responded to the death of Margaret Thatcher, because he is a Nazi Socialist alien beamed to this planet to destroy America. Or something like that.

Seriously? That's what your upset about now?
Courtesy of the, I'm guessing, clinically insane people over at CNS News:

Two hours after the BBC reported the death of conservative British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday, President Barack Obama still had not issued a statement on her passing.

But last week, within half an hour of film critic Roger Ebert's death, the White House tweeted a statement from the president.

As of 10:00 a.m. EDT on Monday, there was still silence from the White House on Thatcher's death, news of which broke here around 7:50 a.m.

Last week, the Chicago Sun-time reported at 2:32 p.m. on April 4 that Ebert had died; The White House tweeted a statement from President Obama at 3:02 p.m.)

"Michelle and I are saddened to hear about the passing of Roger Ebert. For a generation of Americans - and especially Chicagoans - Roger was the movies. When he didn't like a film, he was honest; when he did, he was effusive - capturing the unique power of the movies to take us somewhere magical. Even amidst his own battles with cancer, Roger was as productive as he was resilient - continuing to share his passion and perspective with the world. The movies won't be the same without Roger, and our thoughts and prayers are with Chaz and the rest of the Ebert family."

The president's statement on Thatcher's death, issued hours after it happened, reads as follows:

With the passing of Baroness Margaret Thatcher, the world has lost one of the great champions of freedom and liberty, and America has lost a true friend. As a grocer’s daughter who rose to become Britain’s first female prime minister, she stands as an example to our daughters that there is no glass ceiling that can’t be shattered. As prime minister, she helped restore the confidence and pride that has always been the hallmark of Britain at its best. And as an unapologetic supporter of our transatlantic alliance, she knew that with strength and resolve we could win the Cold War and extend freedom’s promise.

Here in America, many of us will never forget her standing shoulder to shoulder with President Reagan, reminding the world that we are not simply carried along by the currents of history—we can shape them with moral conviction, unyielding courage and iron will. Michelle and I send our thoughts to the Thatcher family and all the British people as we carry on the work to which she dedicated her life—free peoples standing together, determined to write our own destiny.

OMGD! You can almost smell the disdain for this great leader who almost destroyed the labor unions in Britain, inspired race riots and angry protests all across her country, and who would not have pissed on Barack Obama if he was on fire. (I'm sorry, "Used the loo on Barack Obama if he was aflame." Better?)

Not only that, but the statement about Thatcher was TWO paragraphs long rather than the ONE written about Ebert because you know...because...uh..Kenyan Marxist, that's why!

You know I take real offense at this.

No not because the Right Wing is responding to yet another non-existent perceived slight, that is to be expected.

No I am upset because part of what I do is exaggerate the things the Republicans say in order to mock them and make them out to be clownish. But THAT is all but impossible these days. I mean where is the room to exaggerate this?

In fact the Right Wing has become so crazed that I fear people will start to sympathize with them and suggest mental health treatment, and possible psychotropic drug therapies, in order to help them to connect once again with reality.

Then where will I be?

Sure I can still write about Palin, God knows SHE'S never going get any better. But after awhile thinking up crazy nicknames for the Wasilla Wendigo gets a little boring.

So my advice to the Right Wing is to tone things down a little bit, and remember the words of the great Robert Downey Jr.

Tropic Thunder is one of my all time favorite movies! I love when they make Ben Stiller dress up in his costume and "perform".

It only makes sense that the response to the death of Ebert would be faster. He was from Chicago and his recurrence of cancer had been in the news shortly before his death. He and Michelle probably had very personal feelings about him. Thatcher was not a contemporary, and anything he said would have to be scrutinized by State. There are too many people who have to categorize every move of the President.

    1. It took the monstrous Rebecca FIVE HOURS from the first announcement of Thatcher's death to the posting on Palin's Facebook page. So there!

I would imagine that the WH already had Obama's response to the death of Ebert ready to go. He had been very sick for a long time. I know that most newspapers have obits ready to print on famous people. Even if he didn't, responding to the passing of a film critic carries no foreign policy pitfalls and thus should be fairly easy to crank out. A leader as close to the US and as complex would take much more time to produce a thoughtful response.

‘MSNBC Has Declared War’ On America: Fox’s The Five Team Goes Nuclear Over Harris-Perry’s Promo

“One thing is for sure: I have no intention of apologizing for saying that our children, all of our children, are part of more than our households, they are part of our communities and deserve to have the care, attention, resources, respect and opportunities of those communities,” Harris-Perry wrote after informing her audience of her intention to “double down” on the statements she made in the MSNBC network promo.

When the flood of vitriolic responses to the ad began, my first reaction was relief. I had spent the entire day grading papers and was relieved that since these children were not my responsibility, I could simply mail the students’ papers to their moms and dads to grade! But of course, that is a ridiculous notion. As a teacher, I have unique responsibilities to the students in my classroom at Tulane University, and I embrace those responsibilities. It is why I love my job.

She said that conservatives and progressives used to be able to agree on the principle that she stated in the ad – whether it relates to education or to reproductive rights, society has some responsibility to ensure children have the chance at an optimal life.

“So while we come down on different sides of the choice issue, we agree that kids are not the property of their parents,” Harris-Perry wrote. “Their lives matter to all of us.”

“So those of you who were alarmed by the ad can relax,” Harris-Perry wrote “I have no designs on taking your children. Please keep your kids! But I understand the fear.”

    Can you look this up:

    https://www.facebook.com/sarahpalin/posts/510050222385111

In this post Palin claims that she and Jana "were both pregnant at the same time when we worked together at City Hall when I was mayor and she worked in Parks & recreation." She goes on to claim "Willow and her son Glacier were born just a few days apart." According to Palin's autobiography, Going Rogue, and other sources Willow was born on the 5th July, 1994.

Sarah Palin was first elected as mayor of Wasilla in 1996. Not 1994.

he is in the news what is she trying to spin this time?

Gryphen, you ALMOST got it right. President Obama is not just a Nazi Socialist alien, he's a a Nazi Socialist alien NEEGROW! Even Wikipedia says that's just about the worst kind of Nazi Socialist alien there is.

The RWNJs wouldnt be so mad about this if only Roger Ebert hadn't forgotten to remember to marry within his own race. Obama's parents, Roger & Chaz... See the trend?

Adolph Hitler tried to warn us: as soon as you let the races intermarry, it won't be long before teh geys want to marry, also, too!

    What's that you say?

    Oh....

Yeah, like Maggie Thatcher actually "tweets". With so many other pressing issues, like how the hell did Beyonce get clearance to tour in Cuba, these asshats have their BVD's twisted over the timing of the President's Tweets? They never got over the fact he NEVER tweeted his condolences after Breitbart's face hit the pavement before he achieved room temperature, and he NEVER will.

I'm picturing President Obama and First Lady Michelle reading the poutrage and laughing their asses off.
