Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:
On Wednesday, Religious Right activists and members of Congress gathered together for a prayer event held in Statuary Hall at the US Capitol called "Washington: A Man of Prayer."
Among the speakers was Rep. Michele Bachmann, who used the opportunity to promote the 9/11 prayer event being organized by Birther-king Joseph Farah, saying that "it is no secret that our nation may very well be experiencing the hand of judgment" and declaring that both the original 9/11 attack and the attack in Benghazi on 9/11 of last year were God's judgment.
Here is the text of what she said just in case you cannot believe your ears:
It’s no secret that our nation may very well be experiencing the hand of judgment. It’s no secret that we all are concerned that our nation may be in a time of decline. If that is in fact so, what is the answer? The answer is what we are doing here today: humbling ourselves before an almighty God, crying out to an almighty God, saying not of ourselves but you, would you save us oh God? We repent of our sins, we turn away from them, we seek you, we seek your ways. That’s something that we’re doing today, that we did on the National Day of Prayer, it’s something that we have chosen to do as well on another landmark day later this year on September 11. Our nation has seen judgment not once but twice on September 11. That’s why we’re going to have ‘9/11 Pray’ on that day. Is there anything better that we can do on that day rather than to humble ourselves and to pray to an almighty God?
Wow! That is an especially disturbing form of crazy!
Yes it is "no secret that our nation may very well be experiencing the hand of judgment" IF you are a crazy person that is! And as for humbling ourselves and praying to God to keep us safe on the anniversary of 911, I think a far more reasonable approach might be to heighten our awareness on those days and beef up our security at our consulates. Or is that Satan's way of keeping us safe?
Look Minnesota you might think you have free reign to tease us Alaskans about Sarah Palin, but no. not as long as you have THAT whack-a-doodle as a Representative you don't.
Well at least not ALL of the GOP is made up of crazy fundamentalists. No the rest of the GOP is made up of opportunistic assholes that see the four deaths at Benghazi as a great opportunity to do a little fundraising:
The National Republican Congressional Committee is the GOP body that helps elect Republicans to the House of Representatives. And the NRCC is now running an election fundraiser based on their Benghazi conspiracy theories.
So there you have it folks. Your choice of Republicans these days seem to be mostly made up of the batshit crazy or the cynically conspiratorial.
Gotta love America.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Michele Bachmann believes that the 911 and Benghazi attacks were due to God's "hand of judgement" while the rest of the GOP sees Benghazi as a fundraising opportunity.

So does this mean that the people responsible for those attacks were not terrorists but messengers of God? Crazy bitch be CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteOh Jamiesmiles,
DeleteAlthough you maybe cute you have the intelligence of a gnat. yes my friend they think they are messengers of God! Lets take a moment to google (as you all do) and research the mind set of what the modern-day terrorist or the jihad believes and I'm sure you'll be shocked to find out that yes they commit acts of terrorism in the name of their God! You crazy bitch!
WHich was kinda my point anonymous. Apparently she AGREES with the terrorists. It's okay, sweetheart, we all have those moments.
DeleteOh bite me, 6:51
DeleteJamie's point is valid. None of these flawed humans--and that includes the terrorists and that includes Michelle Bachman--speaks for God.
Damn gurl LMAO dont I feel silly... You go with yo bad self... (((( sorry))))) .
DeleteEmbassy staff say the Benghazi 'whistleblower' was an incompetent assclown:
ReplyDeletehttp://thinkprogress.org/security/2013/05/10/1986251/benghazi-whistleblower-hicks/
Well, the New York Times has jumped on the Benghazi bandwagon - concerns about emails that seemed to be shifting emphasis. It seems to me that the emails were really about trying to figure out what was really going on and, in that regard, were absolutely reasonable. Remember that in some cities there were "riots" over a movie that had been made in California and that suddenly appeared in the Middle East just before the 9/11 anniversary. Hmm. Funded by a far right-wing nutcase. Hmm some more.
ReplyDeleteThe question I want answered is what happened to George W. Bush on the day of 9/11 when he was so "missing" that Dick Cheney thought he could take over the government. Remember? No one has ever, to my knowledge, found out what George was doing during those hours. Now that's a mystery that, interestingly enough, the New York Times never tried to unravel.
Beaglemom
If I remember correctly, he was flying around the US in Air Force One for quite a few hours. Safe at 20,000 ft ! !
DeleteAdd to that, another mystery. George Bush's brother, Marvin, was in charge of security at the World Trade Center the day of the attacks, and quietly left town shortly before the attacks. Google Marvin Bush.
DeleteWhile you are googling, find out if there is any reference to "Angel is next" Code name for Bush.
DeleteDid not dare to land. He was and is a patsy.
Someone named him ANGEL? Was that a cruel joke?
DeleteBachmanns judgement is coming in 2014 when she is voted out of office.
ReplyDeleteFrom your keyboard to Wotan's monitor. -:)
DeleteHopefully sooner, when the Ethics Committee finds her guilty of bribery.I find it laughable that these people think that they can investigate "ethics" of each other, when most do not have any! Private citizens should investigate these slugs.
DeleteFrom your lips to God's ears. How ironic that she was a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod until she entered politics then dropped out. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
DeleteI am so sick of getting this crap in my mail from the RNC. I registered to vote in my state last year and while I am certain I changed to a registered Democrat, in fact I need to find and double check my voter registration card because I'm pretty damn sure it has a (D) on it too.
ReplyDeleteI will say that they seem to take the whole "postage" thing to heart-- "By using your own first class stamp to return this envelope, you will be helping us save much needed fund." lol
I changed to Independent in '04. It stopped EVERYTHING.
DeleteI did the same thing - in Alaska - to non partisan! But, because I vote absentee have noticed I'm getting crap from Republicans. Cannot figure it out for the life of me. I detest their party!!!
DeleteObviously someone is selling your names to the RNC...I get some stuff too, but refuse to participate..or I vote in their stupid polls (if I can find an answer that even makes sense in their questions) and then make THEM pay the return postage.
DeleteAnon - 8:38, I too have registered in AK as "non-partisan" which to Rep ears is the same as "independent" which to them equals "republican light", which is why we get those dam AK GOP political flyers!!
DeleteOne way you can get back at these nuts is to send everything, including the outer envelope and all inserts, back to them in their pre-addressed, pre-postaged reply envelope. Of course, do remove anything that has your address on it first.
Delete"It’s no secret that we all are concerned that our nation may be in a time of decline. If that is in fact so, what is the answer?"
ReplyDeleteVote dimwitted, batshit crazy, superstitious asshats like Bachmann out of office and replace them with sane legislators that understand the whole "separation of church and state" thingy.
C'mon, MN 6th. Enough is enough.
God is pissed at so many people using His name to justify their own stupid statements.
ReplyDelete"...we’re going to have ‘9/11 Pray’ on that day. Is there anything better that we can do on that day rather than to humble ourselves and to pray to an almighty God?"
ReplyDeleteNope.
And that's why Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are exempt from blame for Benghazi...
because it's YOUR fault for not praying enough!
Don't need no marines at the embassies - we need PRAYER! Can't you SEE that?
Tell Darrel Issa to start blaming the people responsible - the evangelists - for Benghazi and quit wasting everybody's TIME, for Christ's sake.
Publish a list of all the politicians who voted to defund the embassies. See how many are R's.
Delete7:49 How do we get that list so that it can be published nationwide. What bullshit! Detest the Republicans - especially the ones playing at working in the US Congress! Vote them out folks!
DeletePoliticalwire.com reports:
ReplyDeleteMediocre bass player and portly Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) told Newsmax that the Obama administration is guilty of disseminating "deliberate misinformation" regarding the Benghazi attack and continues to "stonewall" efforts to uncover the facts behind the tragedy.
He also predicted that the Benghazi affair could lead to President Obama's impeachment.
==================================
Obama has the power to put an end to these investigations by simply admitting that he ordered the killing the 4 Americans at the Benghazi compound out of allegiance to his deeply held anti-American fundamentalist Islamic jihadist beliefs. Then the Tea Party-dominated House of Representatives could return to its primary function of protecting the wealthy, destroying the middle class and implementing their own cheerful christo-fascist hyper-conservative social agenda. But FIRST, Obama has to confess!
The good news, if these alleged 'crimes' lead to Obama's impeachment, is that any sense of equal justice and proportionate punishment would force a fair-minded Congress to sentence Dubya to lengthy public torture followed by slow execution and eventually the feeding of his wretched carcass to hundreds of hungry ferrets in front of the Reflecting Pool in the National Mall.
And RAM is at it again. My comment of "$arah can't comprehend Lather Rinse Repeat" was not accepted. Imagine that!

Gadfree, do we ever have kooks in our government today. Bachman and Palin could be sisters! Then there is Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and Rand Paul. Friggin' amazing. Vote Bachman and the latter group out of office folks next opportunity you get. What a frightening bunch that are nothing more than liars and frauds. How they ever got in office is beyond me.
ReplyDeleteWe are fortunate that Palin never made it to national office...the idiot who was the former mayor Wasilla (little hick town in Alaska) and the quitter governor up there!
Americans need to pay closer attention as to how they mark their ballots..
There will always be people of this ilk. "She's just like me" is their mantra and cannot, for the LIFE of themselves, see it is NOT an attribute. That she preys on them shows her true character.
DeleteUh oh. Call out the WAAAAAHMBULANCE! Sarah just posted something about the IRS investigations into conservative groups.
ReplyDeleteThat would be RAM. Incoherent tweets are $arah.
DeleteSarah Palin On IRS Targeting Conservative Groups In 2012: 'I'm Sure Obama Is Grateful'
DeleteFormer Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) took to Facebook Friday night to tear into the Internal Revenue Service for targeting conservative groups during the 2012 election.
"I'm sure President Obama is grateful for all the help the IRS gave his reelection campaign, but, still, you have to wonder how the bureaucrats who tried to pull this off can sleep at night," Palin wrote.

8:33 Sarah Palin (and husband, Todd) should be investigated by the IRS. She had better keep her mouth shut. Her husband is a proven 'pimp' - "Boys Will be Boys"!
ReplyDeleteWingnut Michelle was voted the craziest congress critter on Bill Maher last night. Congrats, Michelle - you won!!!

DeleteEd Rendell: Benghazi ‘Won’t Have Any Long-Lasting Effect’ For Hillary, Maybe 5% Will Remember In 3 Years
ReplyDeleteAppearing on MSNBC’s Hardball, former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell was asked about the amount of impact the Benghazi scandal may on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s political career. Rendell said that there would be virtually no effect on her political career and that only 5 percent of the public would even recall the scandal by the time the 2106 presidential campaign begins in earnest.
Republican strategist John Fieri said that Clinton has to walk a tightrope in the coming months because the Benghazi scandal is more likely to be exploited by her fellow Democrats than by Republicans. “There are plenty of Democrats who want to be president and would be happy to throw Hillary Clinton under the bus,” said Fieri.
Guest host Michael Smerconish played a web ad from Karl Rove’s Crossroads indicting Clinton for poor management at the State Department during the Benghazi scandal.
“There are some controversies that are readily understood,” Smerconish said. “Watergate: we all get that. We don’t want our homes broken into.”
“There are other controversies that are too confusing,” he continued. “Whitewater fell into that category, in my view. Where does Benghazi fall in that spectrum, if you buy into it.”
Rendell responded to the attack ad by saying Rove had “lost his mind.”
“Karl, get a life. Take up tennis or do something,” he suggested.
“Hillary Clinton’s stint as Secretary of State should be like a pitcher who had 20 wins and two losses,” Rendell continued. “Her record was almost perfect in the eyes of the American people.”
“And this won’t have any long-lasting effect,” the former Pennsylvania governor asserted. “I guarantee you: three years from now, if Hillary Clinton is a candidate, less than 5 percent of the American people will remember this.”
Rendell conclude by saying that there was no cover-up in Benghazi and the scandal, as he sees it, “is all about spin.”

Hey, Mrs Bachmann, look in your own back yard before pointing fingers. "Is it any secret ...." Marcus has a sham marriage?
ReplyDeleteThese "preacher" types are like sharks, they close their eye before opening their mouths, but I'd go with the shark, a shark doesn't lie for attention. This is one of the craziest vid's I've seen of her.
