New DNC video highlights the advancements made by the Obama administration on behalf of the LGBT community. Pretty damn impressive!

As the father of a gay child I feel I owe this President a huge debt of gratitude for working to protect her rights and help her to live a life free from oppression and prejudice.

I do what I can everyday, but it is certainly nice to have somebody as powerful as President Obama working toward the same goals.

History will look kindly on this bi-racial man who learned early in life to respect and honor ALL people, no matter their color, origin, sexuality, political position.

He will always find the good in any situation and strive to make it better. He's done massive things for many communities, including the LGBT.

I am so proud that he is the man he is, the husband to Michelle, who he clearly is smitten with. Just can't take his eyes off her and I can't see any reason why he should, she's gorgeous!

A REAL woman of substance and smoldering sexuality all wrapped up in a staggeringly brilliant mind.

But then, look at what a catch SHE got. It's like they were meant for each other. They are both making such a positive impact on people everywhere they go, in everything they do.

President Obama will go down in history as one who truly turned the tide on gay rights in this country. He had to pulled along a bit, but bless him, it didn't take him long for him to come around once he saw the folly of his thinking. It not an easy thing to loosen your grip on long held beliefs, but his heart prevailed. And that's why I he's such an extraordinary man.

Gryphen, there's no question that this country is a safer, more accepting place for gay people and that is a DIRECT result of the influence that President Obama has had and will continue to have. It's a comfort to know that this man in the White House everyday.

Hell yes, that's the president I voted for twice!

His compassion and understanding of people has been such a wonderful thing to witness.

I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat if it were possible to do. And I know I'm not alone in that feeling.

I so so love your fierce defense of your daughter's right to everything in life!
She's lucky to have a father like you!

Truly Impressive, indeed. I've always voted, but voting for this man twice moved me more than any other vote I cast. I wish these videos got more publicity. His support for marriage equality and equal rights for all, ending the wars, implementing Obamacare, etc. While facing ignorance, greed and obstruction at every turn is an amazing feat.

And he makes it seem so easy.

  8. Gryphen, I agree with you 300%! I have a gay son and since I retired he and I are roommates now. He has always been a wonderful son, a caring and loving man to all people he meets, and I'm so proud that he's my son. I also think the President Obama will go in history as one the best presidents that the US has ever had. I voted for him both times and I'd do it again too!

Last week I was at Northeastern University here in MA. I was there on a job and I got lost on campus. A young guy, maybe 30 longish hair I would describe as an IT type walked me to my building and we got to talking. Turned out he was staff. He asked if I was a parent and I said, "No I'm working, I run a teleprompter, you know, like President Obama uses." He snapped, "What a hack!" (meaning Obama of course). I was shocked. I didn't say anymore. Afterward, I wish I at least asked why he felt that way.
