Now I know what it was like during the civil rights movement to be on the right side of history.
I look forward to the day when marriage equality is old news and no one can remember what the fuss was about.
ReplyDeleteThat day is today. It's only a matter of time before the politicians catch up with the rest of us.
DeleteWhen 18-year-old Chelsea posted a photo of her classmates Brad Taylor And Dylan Meehan to her Tumblr blog this week, she did not anticipate the incredible response it would receive -- within 24 hours, the entry had been shared almost 100,000 times.
ReplyDeleteThe image was taken from her high school yearbook, and she included this caption:
"Two of my best friends won Cutest Couple of our senior class. First time in my school history a same sex couple has even been able to run for this category, not to mention winning it. So proud of them, and my school."

I have to say I am in complete agreement with Anon 6:00.
ReplyDeleteOnly one problem: We can win over 100% of the states and even have the Feds back it up and there will still be massive hatred involved. Just like the Civil Rights movement, which actually is still being fought by many, I am sorry to say.
As long as the religions are in existence, there will be problems. Hell, the churches are trying to bring back female slavery!!!!!! (Well, the GUYS, anyway.)
