Suffering domestic abuse while teaching at a Catholic school? Well that's a firing.

Courtesy of NBC News:

A San Diego teacher was fired by Holy Trinity School following a domestic violence incident involving her ex-husband.

Second-grade teacher Carie Charlesworth is out of a job, but not for anything she did in the classroom. Her school district considers her a liability and too unsafe to have around following a domestic violence dispute that happened earlier this year.

A letter sent to Charlesworth said that school officials are concerned about her ex-husband's "threatening and menacing behavior," and as a result they "cannot allow" her to continue teaching at the Holy Trinity School.

"They’ve taken away my ability to care for my kids,” said Charlesworth. “It’s not like I can go out and find a teaching job anywhere.”

The mother of four children didn’t think this would ever be her story to tell, but she is using her name and showing her face in hopes of bringing attention to a larger problem.

So Christian of them to compound this poor woman's problem from simply being abused, to being abused while unemployed.

After all WWJD?

You know I worked at a business that served children where a woman was being physically abused by her husband and was seeking a divorce. Rather than fire her, or shame her for her situation, we supported her.

One day her husband showed up yelling and making all kinds of scary threats.

The owners escorted the children to the back of the building and I went outside and had a "chat" with the gentleman. He never came back again.

I have seen similar scenarios numerous times in my life, and yet I don't remember ONE time where the employers fired the abuse victim. I guess that must be a Catholic thing.

And they wonder why people don't identify themselves as Catholic anymore.
When that happened in our facility we moved the woman to another facility. When the ex-husband found her the employees put her and her kids up at different homes until finally a couple employees had a "talk" with him. I don't think Christian or Jesus ever came up in any of our conversations. It was just the right thing to do to help a fellow employee.

In the article I read about this lady, she has not gone back to church and said she most likely never will. The stupid Catholics lost five more members with one fell swoop.
Her kids are going to remember what happened and make damned sure they and their kids don't suffer the same stupidity and ignorance.

This makes me physically nauseous. We will once again be subjected to her Obama hate, her vicious diatribes, her ignorant rant, her promotion of mid-term candidates that will send this country even further into the dark ages. By her living in the lower 48 now, we are subjected to more and more of her monstrous behavior and now she's back at the most disgusting place of all. Clearly she got down on her skinny knees and sucked off somebody for this to happen...

I look forward to finding out what the jury awards her from the suit.

Typical religious crap: Blame the woman. Let's face it. She divorced (dirty word) her husband. She has to be the problem!

(In case anyone might misunderstand that last, that was such a MAJOR SNARK!!!!!!!!!)

I hope that this woman sues the diocese. Firing her under those circumstances is simply reprehensible and cannot be legal. I also hope that the parents of the children she teaches will rally around her.

Palin's Return To Fox Echo Chamber Shows Failure To Take Own Advice

    http://mediamatters.org/blog/2013/06/13/palins-return-to-fox-echo-chamber-shows-failure/194458

After stressing the importance of no longer just "preach[ing] to the choir" when she and Fox News parted ways in January, Sarah Palin is rejoining the conservative network.

The day after Fox and Palin announced that her contract at the network would not be renewed, the former Republican vice presidential candidate gave an interview for Breitbart.com to Stephen K. Bannon, the director of the Palin hagiography The Undefeated.

During that interview, she told Bannon that it was important for conservatives to "jump out of the comfort zone, and broaden our reach." According to Palin, who indicated she was "taking my own advice here as I free up opportunities to share more broadly the message of the beauty of freedom," it was imperative for the conservative movement to no longer "just preach to the choir; the message of liberty and true hope must be understood by a larger audience."

Less than six months later, apparently preaching to the choir is no longer a pressing concern. In her statement accompanying the announcement that she was rejoining Fox, Palin praised the power of the network as "unparalleled":

Palin's statement: "The power of FOX News is unparalleled. The role of FOX News in the important debates in our world is indispensible. I am pleased and proud to be rejoining Roger Ailes and the great people at FOX."

Unbelievable. I hear Rupert is in the process of divorcing his 3rd wife, maybe there's some prospects for her there, also, too

Well, I'm not a Catholic, though I was raised to be one, but the Catholic Church does not have a good record of handling situations well. Let's see - help pedophile priests hide their crimes, but let's fire the victim of domestic abuse. Sexism abounds, but that should be no surprise. The Catholic church has distanced itself from Jesus. I'm sure he is not happy with them.

Gee, you'd think the Catholic Church would show some compassion. They venerate one woman yet condemn the rest. Then there's the pedophile priest problem. What's keeping Catholics in the Pews?

Brain washing! They are taught from birth that only the Pope can make decisions in their lives. They have a list of proscribed reading. They are told when they can and can't screw. They are told that the mother is worth nothing if there is a pregnancy problem.

      TOLD! TOLD! TOLD! TOLD!

      All their lives. TOLD!

      Never ASKED!
