What? Elizabeth Hasselbeck is moving to Fox News? Who saw THAT coming? Oh, everybody?

Courtesy of Fox News:

“The View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be joining Fox News Channel in September to co-host the top-rated morning show “Fox & Friends.”

Hasselbeck will be replacing current co-host Gretchen Carlson, who will begin anchoring her own daytime show on Fox News Channel in the fall.

“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View,” Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes said in a statement Tuesday. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

Wow! A permanent slot on the Fox and Friends couch!

Gee Palin was only invited on one time, and then sent back to doing remotes.

Gotta sting!

As for Hasslebeck now she gets to spout her Right Wing nonsense without more intelligent people telling her why she is wrong.

Fox News, where being ignorant and misinformed is a job requirement.

Not to mention that Hasselbeck's support of Palin soured a long time ago. I don't remember exactly what she said, but it wasn't nice. We know how forgiving the mentally ill Palin is.

  2. I think Ailes re-hired Sarah, knowing she would think she was hot stuff, and knowing that he was going to hire Hasselbeck and promote Carlson and Kelly.

Palin won't recognize that her weekend and radio spots in comparison to the new positions of Hasselbeck, Carlson, and Kelly are Ailes' way of saying "What part of 'we don't need you' don't you understand?"

But she will recognize that this is just wrong! Well, she'll show them! She'll run for Senate! So there! Also, I can haz muneez? Hey, hey, I'm the star! Look at meeeeee! Also, need moar muneez! Halp?

    What a demented mess.

...I wish someone would pay me the kind of money she's probably getting next time I'm not needed at work. :)

Some time ago, Sarah let out the publicity that she had been offered her own show at Fox but it would mean moving to either New York or Los Angeles. Of course, she would NEVER leave Alaska (except for Arizona and/or any reality show offer that came her way). I don't think that any of these decisions are made in a week or two. More like a couple of months of negotiations, and we could tell towards the end of last year that things were not going well for Palin. She made fewer and fewer appearances on Fox. Then in January, we learned that she was given a low ball offer, which of course she refused (at first, ask me again, Roger, ask me again, I promise that I'll be good this time and only say what your staff sends me to me to say, please, I really need this job.) Palin could not survive NY or LA. She's a small town girl and she appeals to the same kind of people. At least Fox reaches the small towns of the US.

None whatsoever. Hasselback is, believe it or not, a step down from Gretchen Carlson. Carlson is well educated, though she is forced to hide it on the morning show. Hasselback is a complete tool. She'll fit right in at Fox.

Good. Now sane people don't have to ehar Hasselbeck's nonsense on a real network, and Hasselbeck can preach to the choir. And Palin? Well, she can expect never to get an invitation to F&F again..but maybe she can 'appear' more often on Sean's radio show: she doesn't even have to wear her wig for that.

    'Excellent conversationalist?' Spare me.

The few times I've had the excruciating misfortune of watching 'The View,' E.H. has always looked like she was about to pop a blood vessel with that screechy, shrill voice of hers.

Hasselback is proving to be a LOT more successful than the idiot Palin ever thought of being!

Funny.. Begich has his own dry wit....

Sarah Palin “quit on Alaska” as governor and “ has lost touch” with her home state, Sen. Mark Begich told POLITICO.
The Democratic senator said Palin, who said Tuesday she’s considering challenging him for his seat in 2014, might not even be a resident of Alaska and is someone he won’t take seriously unless she emerges from a competitive Republican primary.

  12. On Hasselbeck: "Moreover, she is a tested name and will bring her own version of star power to the show, and to the wider network. She is also likely to make regular appearances on primetime shows like Bill O'Reilly's and Sean Hannity's."

Aw, they dusted off the press release they used when they hired Palin years ago.

Palin, dear, do take a hint. You are over. You are so yesterday. You're not the "hottest governor" any more. There are newer, younger, fresher, prettier faces in town and Roger has hired them and promoted them.

Those promotions? Those are for on-air talent that has been with Fox for several years at least. Oh, you say you have been with Fox for years? Oh, how awkward, dear.

I hope you can figure out what's going on.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck only looks good next to Sarah Palin looking so bad.

After Sarah Palin's failure and dismissal from Fox they are probably looking for a way out that she can keep the facade of dignity an relevance. Hence, appeal to the sheeple for money at the same time she can leave Fox without looking like a loser or a quitter. Pretending to run for Senator in Alaska is the best they could come up with. Arizona wouldn't work, McCain no doubt wants to distance himself the best he can. He still has to play like he is proud of not vetting the pregnant thing.

Lol. You just tried to say the other ladies on the View areintelligent. I hang around Ph D holders and upscale members of society and they find the View a breeding ground for shallowness and ridiculous thinking. Barbara may have "skirted" her way up the food chain, but she's not exactly Einstein. And Joy just screeches shallow liberal platitudes that make no logical or practical sense. Sherris literally the dumbest human on the planet "the earth is flat". These women give Joe Biden cred as Rhode scholar and he rivals dumb and dumber in intellectual thought.

Lis, bless her QVC clothing line, is the one who spends five minutes spouting bullshit, then sits back swinging her leg, her arms up on the couch, shrugging her shoulders and saying "That's all I got".

Got to give her credit for how grateful she was to Barbara for giving her a job all these years. Moving to Fox isn't "advancing" her career.

I imagine that you also serve on a number of Boards and can eloquently express your own thoughts, too. There are a number of very popular shows on TV that are do not meet the PhD level of intelligence. But, a lot of people watch them, and Sarah Palin would love to be a part of any and all of them. She has had her try outs, she didn't pass.

Palin did not choose to age gracefully or develop her mind and talent when the world was at her feet.

I understand why she believes in God.
Honestly, God has done well by her considering that she is the antithesis of every thing good and kind, while others, the meek and the weak who have never harmed a soul just get the stuffing kicked out of them on a day-to-day basis. I wonder about this God of ours...why her?

Mrs. Palin is a terrible person full of hate and animosity and it shows in her face and in her speech. She's about as far away from "Godliness" as a person could be and in that black heart of hers she must know it, deep down inside she knows and it eats her alive, from the inside.

      Delete
    2. She doesn't believe in a Being greater than she is. She is a narcissist. She believes that other people believe in God and that their "God" wants her to rule over everyone. So she accommodates them with the language they want to hear.

Sarah does not believe herself to be less than or subject to anyone or any God.

But what if she had sported better wigs instead of polywigs with headbands?

I know we all want to know about Trig but now, I would really like to know why she wears so many horrible wigs?

I remember her hairstylist in Wasilla saying that her hair was thinning. Has it gotten to this point? I do not know anyone who wears wigs. If she wears wigs because it is more convenient than washing and setting her hair, god knows how long she has been wearing the same underwear?
