Alaska Salmon by Dennis Zaki from Dennis Zaki on Vimeo.
Yes those are Zaki's skinny legs at the end there.Dennis so enjoyed my Russian Tampax commercial the other day that it inspired him to look through the reams of salmon footage that he has filmed (And believe me, he has TONS!) to put together his own clip.
I thought it was worth sharing.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Thanks Dennis (and Gryphen).
ReplyDeleteI love this!
ReplyDeleteTell Dennis thanks.
A beautiful video. However, it shows the exact reason why I do not like to swim in lakes.
ReplyDeleteBecause of the fish or the background music? If I see a shark in our lake, I know I'm asleep and dreaming. But a snapping turtle will get your attention if you're not careful. And they don't have any *Jaws* soundtrack to warn you!
DeleteWell, anon 6:46, you may be more comfortable in lakes because they tend to be a wee bit deeper - and larger - than rivers :) However, I do understand your lack of comfort.
ReplyDeleteLove the video - thanks Dennis! and thanks Gryph for posting it.
No, no -- lakes are deep and dark. The bottom is so far down it makes me dizzy to think of it, and what's lurking around down there. When I swim (I used to feel I had to swim a little), every once in awhile I feel a bubble from below. My imagination? Could be. Or, . . . -- ?? JAWS!
DeleteVery cool. I'd even say awesome mix there. Thanks DZ & JG.
ReplyDeleteA for-real shark attack just now, in Hawaii, and a hero who saved the "little blonde girl"
