Crazy Pennsylvania Police Chief to remain on suspension without pay "indefinitely."

The Pennsylvania police chief who attracted attention for his profanity-laden videos featuring him cursing local and federal officials while wielding firearms agreed on Friday to extend his suspension without pay indefinitely until his lawyer can meet with his local city council. 

The Patriot-News reported on Friday that the Gilberton City Council voted unanimously to keep Mark Kessler on suspension for “using borough property for non-borough purposes without prior borough permission” until they can meet with his attorney, Joseph Nahas, citing a scheduling conflict for scuttling a planned Aug. 30 meeting. 

Kessler told the Los Angeles Times his videos — which include him shooting at pictures he identified as House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Secretary of State John Kerry — constitute peaceful political speech. 

But while he has attracted supporters, at least one activist group, Keystone Progress, told the Times it had collected more than 23,000 signatures on a petition calling for him to be fired, saying Kessler’s supporters may retaliate with violence if the council moves to oust him. 

“You can’t have a police chief that intimidates at least half of the population,” Keystone Progress executive director Michael Morrill said to the Times.

This guy is clearly dangerously unhinged and I would have to imagine that by this point he is simply unemployable as an officer of the law.

Pennsylvania would be opening themselves up to a never ending string of lawsuits if they were to reinstate this lunatic especially if he were to use excessive force making an arrest or if somebody ends up dead.

However apparently Kessler is  using his own private militia to hold the town hostage and intimidate them into being terrified to defy him:

Due to mounting tensions and no doubt, concerns over increasing threats of violence from Kessler and his armed political faction, only a small number of residents were given the chance to speak during the meeting. 

Of those who did speak, however, many said that they themselves, or members of their families, are living in fear of Kessler and his militia. Others who were allowed to speak referred to Kessler as a “nut,” a liability and a detriment to the small community. Many who wanted to speak were prevented from doing so, either because they were blocked from entering the building or because they were too afraid of retaliation to come forward.

This CANNOT be allowed to go on. If we can use force to stop Bashar al-Assad from killing his own people in Syria surely we can send the Feds to step on this little cockroach.

After all does THIS seem like an individual who should be allowed to be a law enforcement professional?

Yeah, I don't think so.
