The website "Jags-Tebow Why Not?" looks like something you might have designed on a bulky desktop in a sixth-grade computer class, but its message is clear (in part because it is in all caps): "WE THE FANS, WANT THE JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS TO BRING IN TIM TEBOW. YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO SEE THIS HAPPEN."
On Monday, the group plans to hold a rally in the EverBank Field parking lot in support of its mission. The event will start at 3:16 p.m. ET and, naturally, will last 3 hours and 16 minutes.
The site argues that "when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose," and asks, "What's the worst that could happen if they signed Tebow? That fans might actually want to buy a ticket or click on the TV and watch them?"
Seems like a reasonable idea right? I mean if nobody will watch your games because they are entertaining or competitive, perhaps they will tune in to poke fun at the Jesus loving Right Wing icon.
So Monday happened, and so did the rally.
Let's see how that panned out shall we?
Poor guys. As you can see, there wasn’t much of a turnout. Don’t believe us? Take a look at the video below and judge for yourself.
Trust me, there aren’t any people hiding behind cars. They couldn’t even muster a baker’s dozen. In fact, I think more people showed up for the Florida Panthers’ preseason game.
You know the jokes just write themselves at this point.
Kinda like sister Sarah Palin supporting the guy - it was the kiss of death and has continued to be! He's just not good anymore in his field of work.
ReplyDeleteSarah has always been a disaster in no matter what field she picked to work! She always quit or was fired! (Fact and proof sources are available to verify!)

ReplyDeleteOff topic, but I wouldn't know anything about this except what I've been reading from you, and since we're environmentalists, we get news.

TRA LA !!!!!!!
Really? Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to shut down the project.
DeleteWhy would anyone come to a game just to watch a washed up QB stand on the sidelines?
ReplyDeleteSame reason people go to see washed up quitters make the same angry, incoherent speech she's made for the past 5 years.
DeleteAnd it's pretty sad and pathetic in either case.
There has got to be one team that needs a Clipboard Jesus!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Palin could hire him to be her copyright violation specialist?
ReplyDeleteI guess God doesn't like him enough to give him another chance. Too Bad, So Sad. He must to have done something to piss the "big guy" off....
ReplyDeleteIf there is a god, Timmay would piss it way off.
DeleteRally signs: Tim Tebo why not?
ReplyDeleteBecause no one gives a shit!
More like "Tim Tebow, WTF?" Right, Sarah? You loved that profane little acronym.
DeleteJohn 3:16 is so overused. How about another verse. I know! Joshua 10:40!
ReplyDelete"And Joshua killed everybody in the land and left nothing alive, as the Lord God had commanded." Hey, now that's inspirational, right?
Was Joshua a Rethuglican?
DeleteJohn 11:35. "Jesus wept".
Delete“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matt. 7:15–20.) Put that on his face.
ReplyDeleteOr as Forrest Gump was taught, "Stupid is as Stupid does."
Maybe they'd get a larger crowd if they moved their "Jags Tebow Why Not?" signs to the zoo?
ReplyDeleteWith ketchup?
DeleteKind of sad that his skills aren't enough to keep him on a team - they just want a White Christian
ReplyDeletetebow + teabaggers = tebuffoons
ReplyDeleteI'm only a little surprised that the Jags have only four fans...
ReplyDeleteHe's just not that good a player. In the words of my husband, "he sucks."
ReplyDeleteThis is the NFL. There's no points for style over substance.
