President Obama calls out Fox News for spreading disinformation about Obamacare. Fox News gets panties in a twist and demands to be shown when they have done that. Okay.

Okay so on Tuesday the President gave that rousing, and quite humorous, health care speech.

And you may remember that during that speech he said this:

“If you talked to somebody who said I don’t know, I was watching Fox News and they said it’s horrible, and you can say you know what, don’t take my word for it, go on the website, see for yourself what the prices are, see for yourself what the choices are, then make up your own mind,” he said. “I promise you, if you go on the website and it turns out you’re going to save $100, $200, $300 a month on your insurance, or you’ll be able to buy insurance for the first time, even if you didn’t vote for me, I’ll bet you’ll sign up for that health care plan.”

Well apparently this chapped the asses of the propagandists over at Fox, and they got all pissy.

This courtesy of Raw Story:

Personnel at the Fox News Channel put on a great show of being outraged Friday that President Barack Obama called them out by name in a speech about lies and distortions about the Affordable Care Act — also known as Obamacare — which goes into effect Oct. 1.

Former CNN anchor turned Fox personality Bill Hemmer protested on Friday, “What have we reported that is inaccurate about this? What has been reported through the Fox News Channel that is not accurate?”

Seriously?

Okay so the folks over at Media Matters decided to show them what they had so conveniently forgotten:

There, now do you think they get it?

Yeah me either.

So now they are lsiting her as "Former VP nominee instead of "former Givernor?" Let's see. she was a pretend Governor for almost two years, and a hateful VP candidate for, um, 11 weeks? Are they kidding? And the country has been subjected to the rantings of this shrew ever since. Steve Schmidt ought to be more than sorry. He ought to have a public flogging. And yes, dear Fox friends and relatives, they lie to you, daily, hourly, every minute. They are, after all, not a news channel. They think they are entertaining. Evidently bringing the nation to its knees is funny to them.

Got that right, Sally. Perhaps Bill Hemmer would care to explain why they aren't allowed to broadcast in Canada?

It's not an achievement anymore, since she lowered the bar.

She lowered the bar to where you can't even limbo under it.

Huge problem with that clip is that they did not counter any of the claims. This has been the problem with the ACA from the beginning. Wild and false claims are made by the right without immediately pointing out the fallacy of those claims. Media Matters would have served the public by playing a few of those claims (since many of them were repeated in the clip) then countering the claim.

There was a long article in our local newspaper yesterday with many of the claims against the ACA and corrections. Most of the claims were called "pants on fire" lies. More than a few of them were spread by Sarah Palin and her Fox News buddies. They are such hypocrites!

Agreed.. as I listened to that very carefully and well constructed video, I did not hear them rebuking the claims.. that is the problem with "sarcasm" as well.. if one is not told it is sarcasm or hyperbole, it may be taken as fact. I, too, wish they would have taken the time to explain why each of those statements were wrong.. now anyone can play that video and reinforce all that is wrong, and the down right lies, about ACA.. maybe that will be corrected.. but time is drawing close and many people may be agitated thinking they were shoved into something that they will not readily admit was for their best interest... when will people learn that "humor" needs to be used for entertainment and not necessarily for education.. !!

Anytime she's brought on to speak with authority on any matter, it's safe to go with a 180. She's not smart, she's just willing to exact Sound and Fury at you until you quiet down.

Yep, it's called BULLYING. At damn near 50, one would hope she'd grow up but she'd too emotionally fucked up.

      Yes, you're right.
And down the road when everyone is enjoying the ability to have healthcare without going bankrupt, the history books will have their names front and center for leading the obstruction of affordable healthcare for American citizens.

Cruz and Palin are pandering to the low information chumps who are unfortunate enough to follow them.
Why don't Palin and Rafael Eduardo Cruz delay their own Health care Plans? Has Sarah Palin ever paid for Healthcare for herself or her Family? No, she has been SUCKING ON THE GOVERNMENT TEAT most of her life.

7:42am said Cruz and Palin are leading the fight against Obamacare. I agreed. To be clear, history will remember their fight against Obamacare. They fight against the will and betterment of Americans.

      Was that not clear??

Fox has had guests that say that Obamacare has been pushed down the elects throats. Now that is untrue. An affordable care plan was a campaign promise and President Obama was elected TWICE. The bill was signed into law before he was elected a second term.

It shows that Senate and House of Representatives did their due justice to the majority of their constituents. Nothing was stuffed down anyone's throat.

Besides, it's not a law that forces anyone to change a health insurance plan that they are happy with. So how can that be 'forcing'? All the beaters like Michelle Malkin, Palin, Monica Crowley, Michele Bachmann, etc. doubtfully have to worry about their personal health care. Why don't they let the little people get a break?

  6. They'll have a fitting excuse. They'll say, well we didn't report that on the NEWS. Fox News just aired an opinion piece by one of our talking heads. We're not responsible for any opinions presented by our paid dingbats, er .... wing nuts, er....political consultants.

Fox news went to the US courts to allow them to be able to lie on their broadcasts. The courts agreed that they were entertainment and could do so. Funny, they tried the same thing in Canada, but they have a law (where's ours?) that says "news" agencies cannot lie to the public. Therefore, no Fox News Canada.

Gryphen, I cannot stomach Palin's FB posts and op-eds anymore. She is a complete fraud as evidenced by her emails. You have a larger readership than I do on my blog...so feel free to nail that bitch to the wall with this email.

Ted Cruz is everything the right falsely accuses the President of being. He anti-American (wants no healthcare for our country), he wants to shut down and bring down our government. And he WAS born in another country, and has a non-American father.

    Is this weird or what?

I'm glad President Obama called them out in his speech (especially knocking Shellie Bachman;s boat out of the water).

Watching the Fox crew humping their own legs over death panels, rationed care, unconstitutionality and low frequency radiation is a hoot. Shame they can't choreograph all their heads to explode simultaneously.
Would make Ailes a fortune on PPV!

It's a shame what they're doing to the gullible and less fortunate.
