Well using Christian logic I guess this is proof positive that Chi exists.

For those unfamiliar with Chi, or Qi, check here.

Actually stumbled into the world of martial arts, and the concept of Chi, when I was still struggling to understand the question of God's existence.

It was both an enlightening experience, and a puzzling one.

In my opinion there is FAR more proof for the existence of Chi then there is for the existence of any god.

The soul searches for meaning, and tries to find it in religion. I had a friend describe all religion as spiritual practices.

    Meaning can be found anywhere.

Logic can not be applied to spiritual practices. The search for meaning contains no logic.

Here is not there and there is not here.

God is not a being in the sky that watches you. God could be the universe. God could be whatever calls you to be morally correct.

Choosing a path to spiritual meaning does not mean that it is the path for everyone else. It just means it is the path for you. God has created many paths. Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and atheism. They are all paths designed to find the truth. Not everyone has the same truth.

I do not believe in situational ethics and I do believe in moral callings. And I believe that atheists and believers have more in common than they think - they all seek the truth.

You wrote "God has created many paths. Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and atheism"

Athiests don't believe in any GOD AT ALL, understand?

You are projecting your belief in some divine all knowing being and trying rationalize atheism as just another way to look at , and understand the universe, but that is 100% incorrect.

Atheism is NOT a path at all, it's the exact opposite of a spiritual practice, religion, or belief system.

It is NON-theism, as in no belief in gods, religions, paths, sky fairies, or elvish wisdom.

In computer science we'd call it a null, meaning the absence of any value.

Get it? No belief in anything related to paths or religions, or gods, or anything at all.

That doesn't mean all athiests are devoid of a moral compass, or even appreciate some aspects of spirituality in others, or as a concept.

But in terms of strict definitions, atheism is the absolute antithesis of religion.

Tell an atheist that he/she's on a path to spiritual meaning and he or she will laugh in your face.

      Laughing in YOUR FACE!

What being a atheist you think you just got shit out of your mothers ass?

that plants, animals and the milky way just "are there"? You really are a A$$hole Billings & 7:59 AM.

You completely didn't get what Anonymous2:23 AM was saying. I would expect a rock to have more sense...

Lots of people believe in "something" but do not subscribe to any "belief system" or religion.

They just search for the truth.

Oh BTW here is what wiki says: Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities.[1][2] In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.

      Hardy, har HAR!!!!!

Wow, 10:48, you might disagree, but your reaction is way over the top.

The OP made a general statement about atheists being on a "spiritual path" and "seeking the truth." Sure, some atheists may be doing that. But many are not.

I took the OP's statement as "hey, we're not all that different." That's fine. But there are plenty of atheists who aren't on any kind of "spiritual path" and who aren't "seeking truth."

Anyway, "spiritual" is a vague term.

I know you're being snarky but the eggs we eat are unfertilized eggs. Otherwise you would get a chick embryo on your griddle. Yuk. I never made the connection until one of my friends in high school mentioned that the rooster got in the hen house and it meant they couldn't eat the eggs because yup, an unintended pregnancy. LOL

About the same as people seeing the face of Mary in their toast, or the Cheeto Jeebus. Sometimes an egg is just an egg, and sometimes toast is just toast and a Cheeto is just a Cheeto. Such is our world. There are no hidden spiritual meanings, just life/death and existence.

I'm sorry for you. In spite of all this political bullshit and mundane world there is magik all around.
Look at that spider web sparkling in the morning dew...
How about that friend you were just thinking about...and then they called?
The bees collecting pollen off the plants, if you hit the stamens you can SEE the grains of pollen they gather...
Day in day out magick is all around. If we are MINDful and care to look.
Its hard. If we are suffering in a unhealthy sick body, riddled with cancer or some illness, its hard, I could see where you would have this POV. But if you can GET OUT of the BODY and ask, REALLY ASK... "Who am I"?

You might see things differently. Try it. Three simple words. "Who am I"?

Notice I said nothing about Religion, church or the bible. You won't find the magick there. You must look inside, your very own heart.
