Small group of 2nd Amendment protestors, complete with AR 15's slung on their shoulders, hold protest at site where President Kennedy was murdered with a rifle 50 years ago.

Courtesy of Dallas News:

About a dozen people carrying rifles protested in Dallas Saturday morning at the sight of one of the most infamous gun crimes in United States history.

The crowd carried AR-15s, old military rifles and one Texas flag with the “Don’t tread on me” slogan at Dealey Plaza, where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated 50 years ago . They said they were there to peacefully show that carrying firearms is legal in Texas and that the people who do it aren’t dangerous.

“We are law abiding citizens exercising our rights,” said Brad McClain, one of the organizers of the event.

McClain said he understood the significance of the site where they were protesting, but said they mostly picked the location because it was high-profile.

“It’s visible, it’s historical and the landscape is perfect for photo ops,” he said.

Seriously why don't these assholes just by a t-shirt that reads "I am a douchbag?"

Their lack of sensitivity alone makes me thing they should not have access to weapons. I mean clearly they do not respect the memories of those who died at the hands of gun violence, nor do they consider the feelings of the normal people who have to watch them strut around with their metal penis extenders hanging around their necks in public.

In a completely unrelated story, a two year old girl celebrated her parents 2nd Amendment rights by shooting herself to death with their unsecured handgun:

A two-year-old girl has died after accidentally shooting herself with a handgun she found lying around her home.

The toddler - named by neighbors as Coco - got hold of the 'unsecured' loaded weapon at the home in North Carolina, police said.

Hey, it's all about freedom right?

Oh, they went after the low hanging fruit, shame on them. I'll have them know that Ms. Bristol Palin has moved back to Arizona and is now embarking on getting her "hair degree" from Penrose Academy and will be joining her sister Willow in fixing up the family's hairs and also maybe at some point doin' some makeup and other things that can't be learned at your fancy Ivy League school that gets you a job at the Burger King. (which can leave a greasy residue in your hair and which Willow and soon Bristol can shampoo out and make you good as new)

Can you imagine if a College Campus Staff hired that High School Dropout with multiple Pregnancies to speak on Abstinence? BWAHAHAHA Bristol Palin on a College Campus, that is funny.

This links to B Palin's Facebook where one commenter, one that we all know, congratulates her on being accepted to the Penrose Hair Academy.

Oh come on. Bristol going to the Penrose Hair School? How'd that work out for Willow? Still no job yet? Got her license? 20K for what?

Come on, perhaps ONE Palin can't get a hair degree and manage to open a salon BUT TWO Palin girls with HAIR DEGREES should certainly be able to take over the world of hair care and styling and together they might have 1/10 the talent of a Ken Paves or a Vidal Sasson?

Get with the program. Bristol's Facebook just showed us Grandma Sally's new haircut from Willow. If you can't style your grammy's hair, then who is going to trust you with the very sharp and pointy scissors around their face and eye area.

I don't get what they are "protesting". Pretty much any idiot with the necessary funds can purchase a gun in America, either legally or illegally. These doofuses just run around protesting against an imaginary enemy, which they call gun control which is pretty much absent, unfortunately, in this country.

Here in AK we call them "gunpowder sniffers" or "rebels without a cause".

Big whoop. They managed today to *not* trip and fire whoopsies! at a passing pregnant woman, or to get in a stupid argument with a fellow "protester', or to accidentally shoot their own child or personal pleasure regions.

    So?

It is painfully apparent that these Itty Bitty Dick Club members aren't dangerous. Until they are. Then it is too late to take their itty bitty dick extender away.

Fuck off, all of them. And their perversion of the second amendment.

    1. LOL, you are so right. I worked in law enforcement for several years and I can't tell you how many firearms accidents I was privy to, everything from shooting the clock off the wall to blowing the door off a patrol car with a shotgun. But two of these accidents were fatal, and one of the fatalities was a five-year-old little girl. And these were ALL by police officers, people who undoubtedly had more training than these Itty Bitty Willie Club members. So while I believe they didn't go there intending to kill anyone, they are accidents waiting to happen nonetheless and too arrogant to realize it.

Wait, what would Mrs. Palin know about exhorting money from the faithful who were exposed to a fear-based agenda? Oh, wait, nevermind.

Seems her Communications/Journalism degree wasn't all wasted money as one of the first tenets of Journalism is "write about what you know".

John McCain is amazingly tone deaf, isn't he? He hasn't figured out yet that his choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate was disastrous and now he's saying that the infamous "grassy knoll" in Dallas is a great photo-op spot. What is wrong with this man? Is he as demented as Ronald Reagan was during his 8 years in office?

The "grassy knoll" was a deliberate choice for this idiotic display of male testosterone precisely because we are one month away from the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy. Thank God Jackie Kennedy is not alive to read reports about it; I feel so sorry for Caroline - that she has to endure the ignorance and meanness of so many of her fellow citizens at this time.

What does this guy do for a living? Wedding photography? It's almost the 50th anniversary of the Kennedy Assassination. The man's brains were blown out on his wife's dress and the back of a limousine, by some guy with his second amendment rights intact and a gun.

Texas is pretty big, I'm sure there's plenty of "visible, historical and nicely landscaped" sites for a protest. I can't understand the depth of these coward's stupidity.

I find few things more offensive than marching around with firearms at a place where an American President was assassinated.

But this IS a free country - and that means you can be an asshole of you want to be.

I guess that's what freedom means: allowing others to express opinions through words and/or actions that are just so god-damned disgusting it makes you want to throw up.

They staged a similar event in San Antonio at the Alamo:

"Demonstrations were not allowed when the mission was overseen by a historical association. But the site was taken over by the state in 2011, and Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson, a gun rights advocate, decided to make it available."

In other words, the state takes over control of the most historic shrine in the state, and its new director uses the very first demonstration allowed on the site to be used ... as a campaign event for himself. (He's running for Lt. Gov.) Brilliant.
