The challenge of driving in Alaska.
To be honest I have never personally hit a bear with my car. And I have only seen one dart out into traffic when i was a kid.
I have seen far more moose, and had a few close call with them however.
They didn't even stop! Assholes! The other night saw a raccoon get creamed. We had tried to call 911 to get Wildlife out for him but the idiots who hit him left and me with my dog and little flashlight and asshole drivers that won't stop. BASTARDS! At least he was put out of his misery. I couldn't look I was too upset. They did not stop. It could of been a child!
Maybe bears are flexible in collisions the way drunk people are and thus less apt to get injured. I was driving through northern MN some years back and a black bear ran out of the woods right into the side of the pickup in front of me, then got up and ran back into the woods. I saw no limp in it's gait as it ran away.
I hope most bears would be a little smarter than that one.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Never expected that bear to be able to walk away from that crash!
ReplyDeleteDidn't seem to phase the bear in the least.
ReplyDeleteIs this what Alaskan teenage bears do for fun lol?
Oh Noooooo!
ReplyDeletePoor bear, what a nasty way to get to the other side of the road.
Sorry, I take the bear's POV. The challenge of living near the humans that moved into my territory.

DeleteI hope it didn't get hurt in any permanent way. It may have been able to run away, but that doesn't mean it was okay.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hope so too, but man! The bear just picked right up and continued on, like no worries.
ReplyDeleteGreat gif. Thanks.
That is one tuff bear.
ReplyDeleteDayum.
Poor bear. I'm relieve to see him get up and walk away but I have to wonder if he had any internal injuries.

ReplyDeleteNot entertaining Gryphen. There is a very good chance this guy didn't make it too far into the woods. Gymnastics? Really?
