Courtesy of TMZ:
A self-proclaimed member of Phil Robertson's church is literally making a federal case over Phil's suspension ... he's suing A&E and others because he feels the network is chilling his right to hate homosexuals.
Chris Sevier, who claims to be a lawyer, has previously sued pretty much everyone under the sun, including Bill O'Reilly, CBS, Facebook and Apple.
This time around, Sevier has put together 91 pages of law and religious propaganda, quoting scriptures about the evils of homosexuality. Sevier claims the fact that A&E has indefinitely suspended Phil is going to have a chilling effect on other churchgoers -- himself included -- when it comes to preaching what he believes is the word of God.
As for what that word is ... Sevier thinks it's rooted in sin. He says, if gay marriage is allowed, "citizens in that state should be able to marry their pets" -- he sees no difference.
In addition to suing A&E ... Sevier is suing President Obama, claiming the Prez is in cahoots with A&E to further the pro-gay agenda.
I think the chances of this actually making it to trial are about the same as Phil Robertson getting gay married to a black person.
Wonkette has more on this Sevier guy:
And just in case Sevier weren’t creepy enough, Sevier has been charged with stalking country musician John Rich and in a separate incident, with stalking a 17-year-old girl. In the latter case, he followed the girl from a coffee shop to the ice cream store where she worked, and creeped her out by telling her details of a private conversation she’d had at the coffee shop months earlier, according to the arrest warrant.
He seems nice.
Boy I have to say that I am leaning an awful lot about the kinds of people who watch Duck Dynasty.
And what I have learned makes me want to avoid them at all cost.
WTF?
A self-proclaimed member of Phil Robertson's church ?
ReplyDeleteIs Chris Sevier, a member of Phil Robertson's church or just makes that claim? Robertson needs to clear that up if he is not a member.
Alabama Lawmaker To Introduce Resolution Honoring Gay-Bashing 'Duck Dynasty' Star
ReplyDeleteAlabama State Sen. Jerry Fielding (R) announced Monday that he will introduce a resolution honoring "Duck Dynasty" star Phil Robertson, who was suspended from the A&E reality television show after making controversial anti-gay comments in an interview with GQ magazine, the Daily Home reported.
"Phil Robertson's family values are shared by the vast majority of Alabamians, who are rightfully concerned by the vitriol aimed at his Christian stance," Fielding said in a statement. "There's a clear double standard in the media favoring a liberal worldview. When it's used to silence and punish Christians for stating their beliefs, that's when we must defend the rights of individuals to exercise their free speech without fear of politically-motivated repercussion. I join thousands across Alabama and our country by standing with Phil Robertson, and urge A&E to reverse their action against him."
The senator will introduce the resolution on Jan. 14 when the state Senate convenes for the next session.
In the resolution, Fielding lauds Robertson and his family as "ambassadors of the love and grace of the Heavenly Father through their exemplary lives on and off the camera."

What a huge waste of time and money for Alabamans. What a fucking joke. The south scares the shit out of me with their backwards ways.
This is the guy that sued Apple because he typed in F*ckbook.com, claiming to really have wanted to type in Facebook.com, and he turned around and blamed APPLE for his mistake. What a turd.
ReplyDeleteSo, to sum up, a guy who sued Apple for allowing him to see porn on the internet is now accusing A&E and Barack Obama of silencing Christians, who will be prevented from speaking out against the evils of homosexuality, which would be bad for our Christian Nation, Jack. All we need now is to learn that the legalization of gay marriage somewhere is what drove him to take up stalking people.
ReplyDeleteSevier wares camo like Sarah, Bristol and all the Palins wear everyday. He's one of them. Maybe he fills in for Grow up Manipulation Trolls. He looks alot like Bristol's new sexting sex toy.

These dynasty people are a flash in a pan. So much shit is going to be turned up about these charlatans I don't see them lasting long. The Palin Curse will strike again! You betcha'

ReplyDeletePope’s Christmas Atheist Outreach Invokes Religious Right Fears of One World Religion
ReplyDelete...One of the most humorous reactions was found (where else?) at World Net Daily, the watering hole of right wing dinosaurs. At the end of a piece reproduced from Reuters, WND’s editorial staff appended a poll which says a great deal more about the Religious Right than it does the Pope (or atheists).

I thought one church was what they wanted? You know, they are all about dissing anyone who doesn't beleive all their BS...don't they want to convince everyone to follow their version of God and THEIR Bible? If not, then leave the rest of us alone, and stop pushing your fake religion down everyone's throat, Sarah, Franklin, and the rest of you.
DeleteHere's another Duck quote:
DeleteLadies and gentlemen, I give you Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty. The man the entire right wing media machine mobilized to defend in the past two weeks.
A good woman is “hard to find. Mainly because these boys are waiting until they get to be about 20 years old before they marry ‘em. Look, you wait till they get to be about 20 years old, they only picking that’s going to take place is your pocket. You gotta marry these girls when they’re 15 or 16, they’ll pick your ducks. You need to check with mom and dad about that, of course.” — Speaking at Sportsmen’s Ministry in Georgia in 2009.
Swell guy you're backing, Sarah...maybe Piper can get married at 15 and 'clean some ducks?' Why do I think that's creepy?
A good woman is “hard to find.

How can it have a "chilling effect" if preaching hate, according to the teachings of Christ will earn you a place in hell? Last I heard hell was supposed to be hotter than the fireplace in Fox's smelting studio where Sarah does her "phone in" fireside chats.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to dig this whole Duck Dynasty Faux Fiasco, it's bringing the idiots front and center so the world can see what friggin idiots they are.
Does Robertson's "church" have the words "Barnum and Bailey" in the title?
Boink! That's gonna leave a mark!
Delete+10K
the wackos are cooking their own goose.
ReplyDeletehas anyone heard anything more from Papa Duck himself?
do the Ducks want to keep doing their A&E show?
Off the topic but heh!
ReplyDeleteChris Christie = Chunky Palin
http://www.balloon-juice.com/2013/12/25/all-the-bridges-blown-away-keep-floating-up/
"I was ready to start calling him Chunky Jon Huntsman or Chunky Rudy, but at this point Chunky Palin is probably more accurate:"
Excerpts from the NYT expose of Christies Palin like nasty retributions and backstabbing follow...
If Christie is Chunky Palin does that make Sarah Skinny Christie?
Yes.
DeleteTax exemption, can't understand why sarah hasn't started her own church for the same reason, heck you can get a certificate for a ministry online.
ReplyDeletewonder if their earnings from duck show are tax exempt also.
Sister Sarah will run to his rescue soon.
ReplyDeleteWho is she going to rescue? Duck Dick?
DeletePapa Duck is doing marathons, selling product and will be on next season (already filmed). A&E is getting plenty of profit out of this and they don't need to settle the 'suspension' until next year. Papa Duck can go viral with all the free speech he wants. I think it is all one big money maker for all of them. There may have been contract violations and salary renegotiations but I don't get that Robertson or A&E are hurt and they can reunite and live happily ever after in fake reality gig for millions.
ReplyDeleteI would like this to expose them all, especially the religious lunacy. It would be great to end Palin's fake political games. We'll see how it goes.
I doubt seriously if there are millions of racist dicwads that follow these clowns.
Delete...millions, like dollars. TV worth $ for DD-A&E.
DeleteSarah Palin: I didn’t read ‘Duck Dynasty’ interview
ReplyDeleteWhat a surprise.
"Turns out Sarah Palin, who has been one of Duck Dynasty’s biggest defenders, hasn’t actually read the GQ interview that includes cast member Phil Robertson’s controversial comments on homosexuality and other subjects.
When pressed by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren whether the language Robertson used when talking about his opposition to homosexuality was graphic and offensive, Palin admitted she didn’t know what Robertson had said."

She has started her own church. It's called SarahPAC.
ReplyDeleteI'd marry my dog in a heartbeat. He's so much more evolved than the [supposedly human] Ex. Then there's the tax deductions, too.
