Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

I am still not sure what Chris Christie was feeling during his 107 minute press conference on Thursday.
If this goes to the top (and in my mind it strains believability to think it doesn't) I shudder to think what this petty vindictive tyrant would engage in if elected President.
Christie has a big whopping graduation diploma from high school. No further education. That's it. High School is his only educational bragging right. However, I am not certain that his high school wants any recognition from Christie.
Dodge, blame, defend, deflect, excuse...they are pathetic!
How not to respond to scandal
As New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s (R) bridge scandal continues to unfold, his allies and defenders have a serious challenge. Under the most generous of scenarios, the governor was clueless about his own team’s corruption, kept in the dark while his top aides abused their power in his name, deliberately crippling a community over petty politics.
Many Republicans and Christie admirers aren’t sure how best to respond, but they’ve taken a long look at the available evidence, and have decided to ask the question that matters most to them: “Isn’t President Obama awful?”
Emails show that Wildstein sought and received the counsel of Christie’s press secretary, Michael Drewniak.
“Need to talk to you soon, in person,” Wildstein wrote on Dec. 3.
The two met the following evening.
“Thanks again for all your sound advice last night,” Wildstein emailed him on Dec. 5.
“Thanks for a great dinner,” Drewniak replied.
Drewniak can insist, as does his boss the governor, that at that point he still believed the closing was part of a traffic study.
The cover story fell apart with Thursday’s release of the now-famous emails and texts between Wildstein and Bridget Anne Kelly, who was then Christie’s deputy chief of staff.
Christie said he's experiencing the 'sad' stage of grief and hasn't worked his way to the 'mad' stage yet....which means he's going through the stages backwards...or is, rather, just a deceptive asshole.
Bottom line: Christie gave the high-ranking people closest to him the power to act on his behalf in a manner that would reflect his values and intentions. And that is very likely exactly what they did. These were not over-zealous rogue operatives. And if it hadn't blown up on them, they would be plotting similar reckless acts of retribution on other political 'enemies' to advance Christie's personal political agenda.
Christie's only hope for heading off this career-ending Scandal-gate would be to stand buck naked in the middle of downtown New Jersey(?) and shriek "BENGHAZI!!!!" over and over until a short-attention spanned Amercia returns to piling on to Barack HUSSEIN Obama, the most scandal ridden president since Harrison Taft Adams!
That hour and 45+ minute long press conference provided a lot of grist for one-time Sarah Palin "lie spotter" Pamela Meyer and a couple of professionals in the comment section of this article to find some obvious "tells" revealed in Chris Christie's behavior during the press conference.
Lisa Ann: why do British men love this Sarah Palin lookalike so much?
f you thought the older woman/younger man trend died a death post-Sex and the City and Cougar Town, think again. The recent coverage of PornHub's UK statistics showed that throughout the UK, porn star Lisa Ann is extremely popular: she's the top search term in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and second most popular in England, scoring top-5 status in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, and Bristol.
He'll have his own "Nixon" moment soon........his quandary is how can this be spun........I don't believe it can be......and he'll soon come to that realization.....much to his chagrin.
The noose is tightening... the Governor's counsel and chief spokesperson were involved.

Additionally, the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger reported Saturday that Wisniewski said additional subpoenas are likely to go out Monday or Tuesday. That move would arrive ahead of a special session reauthorizing the state transportation committee's subpoena power.
Among those who could be subject to those subpoenas are former Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly, whose employment was terminated earlier this week, and Michael Drewniak, who serves as chief spokesperson for Christie.
GWB scandal: New round of subpoenas likely to go out next week
"It's hard to believe (Kelly) woke up one morning and thought she was suddenly cloaked with the authority to order lane closures at the George Washington Bridge," he said.
Wisniewski said he was also troubled by the mention of other Christie administration officials in subsequent text messages and emails, including a Nov. 25 exchange in which Wildstein assured Bill Baroni, the Port Authority's then deputy director: "Charlie thought you did "GREAT."
The reference was apparently to Charles McKenna, the governor's counsel, on the day Baroni testified before Wisniewski's committee that the lane closures were part of a traffic study.
He's more moved (and sad) over this than he displayed during the epic hurricane that got him a photo op with Obama AND a pat on the back by Brooooooooooooooooce!
Watching that clip kind of reminded me of a Governor who quit. Notice it's all "me me me me me me" and "victim". From Sarah, it's laughable. From Christie, it's inexcusable. He even got a catchy hug fest commercial with his entire family called "Stronger than the Storm"!!! I feel bad for his poor wife.(ha ha ha ha ha) Marypat. How many trips to Crispie Creme has she made this past week?
"I am a liar, a damn liar. I'm just a liar, a big fat, really fat liar. Let me just say that I am not just a big fat liar, but that I am a big fat, really fat, ARROGANT liar."
That says it all!

ReplyDeleteDon't want to even think about Christie having access to the nuclear codes.
DeleteCC as CIC??? What a terrifying thought!

DeleteAnon 5:19, that is not true. Chris Christie graduated from college and law school. He was attorney general of NJ.
DeleteMr. Christie is the #1 butt boy for the Koch Brothers. Their preferred presidential candidate - well, at least he was ...
ReplyDeleteFeeling the HEAT no doubt. He's toast.
ReplyDeleteA sad. He haz it.

Power and arrogance are a very volatile combination.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not as destructive as Sarah Palin:
power+STUPID+arrogant
but still... dangerous none the less.
He is not going to be able to control this situation that is for sure! And, it's about time!
ReplyDeleteHe is a proven 'bully' and he and Sarah Palin could be brother and sister....liars and frauds both of them!
Self-pity. Christie is expressing alot of self-pity.
ReplyDeleteTime for Christie to go full Costanza: "It's not lie...... if you believe it."

Like Palin 5+ years ago, they reveal he's at best obfuscating, at worse, lying.

Wow. I'm shocked to hear that he really did say ONE thing in that 2-hour pity party that was actually true:
ReplyDelete"I am disturbed."
