Bill Maher's News Rules from last night's show.

I found that spending gap between children and the elderly to be rather shocking. But thinking about it I guess I'm not surprised.

What I am surprised about is all the tail that the elderly are apparently getting.

"So stop your bellyaching cause you're lucky enough to live in a country that will keep you hard until you're stiff." Good to know.

By the way S.E. Cupp was on last night and made a fool of herself as usual. (I am so glad she is no longer on MSNBC, and I wish Bill would stop inviting her on his show as well.)

Between her and PJ Rourke, I found the program a little frustrating and hard to watch. However when the New Rules came on it helped to redeem it.

At least that was my opinion.

I don’t know about the REAL old, but the Children of the Sixties like to keep it going . Use it or lose it.

Ditto disgust with Darryl Issa. What a sycophantic creep. His attempts at humor were not welcomed and pathetic.

I can't tell you how disgusted I get with all the unsolicited Viagra offers in my inbox........the entire country is eroticized beyond all reason......I'm 70 and have no interest in sex.......the government can keep their sex toys...

I agree with your distaste for PJ and SE....when I saw they were on it was like, yuck. Taxpayer money funds penis pumps and viagra....guess some women should hold a hearing about that one. The GOP has no shame...none.

Yes, because we need a law requiring men to have a penile scope before they can get Viagra..who knows what nefarious plans they have for using that drug? I read that the largest population of men with STD's are middle aged and older men cheating on their wives, thanks to Viagra.

5:41 Darryl Issa wasn't on last night's show...he was Bill's show last week! Agree that he is a creep though! He tried to be funny a couple of times and failed horribly!

I love Bill's new rules segment. I have a sneaky suspicion, I may be wrong, but Bill invites se cupp on often so he can have an arsenal of one liners to play when/if she ever runs or attempts to run for office. Something like Christine O'Donnel.

SECUPP is about as interesting as a tomato without salt.

Maher is a singularly unattractive man.

Jealous much, while stuck in your mom's basement while he has a real audience?
As for spending, it happens on the local level as well. In my small town, the olds are always bitching about the teens and kids being such hellions. Well there is NOTHING for them to do because all the community money is spent on olds' stuff like bingo halls and the like. Kids want a place where they can listen to their music, talk to their friends, and just hang out. No malls here, and they are dead anyway, but there should have been something for them built ages ago.
Hell the olds have a s hit fit about a skateboard park and new swing sets. they got theirs and they want everyone else's too! Since they vote, the kids and teens are too young, they get to say where the money is spent.

What does Bill Maher's looks have to do with anything?

You, on the other hand are SHALLOW, and always make a point of letting everyone know about it.

I am not a big fan of Bill Maher and I don't get HBO. That being said, those rules were funny. I laughed out loud. And all of it was true and that made it even funnier.

I am going to have to rethink my opposition to Maher. He absolutely deserves a second look.

    1. By all means. Bill Maher has been playing to SRO houses for decades now. Must be doing something right!

Pretty judgmental, 9:44! Looks are not everything, or haven't you figured that out yet?

I watch his show every Friday night on Cable and thoroughly enjoy his humor and counters to the Republican party. He has Republican guests on his panel as well as Independents and Dems. There is usually good dialog! I also find him respectful to whomever he has on his show. And, he is well read and knowledgeable! Can't beat all of those positives!!!!

Cupp's naughty librarian/ingenue only works under a certain age. She's a bit long in the tooth and will have to go more hardcore porn if she wants to sick around in the limelight - ask $carah, maybe she can lend her some hooker shoes and multi-zipper jeans.

In my opinion, S.E. Cupp is equivalent to Sarah Palin in that all one needs to do to refute them is let them talk: they're both self-refuting. Given enough rope, their logic tangles itself.

    P.J. on the other hand...
is a very smart fellow with whom I disagree on many things, but who can craft a very smart argument.

But isn't that what it's all about? Listening to the smart folks?
Hey - I don't agree with Bill Mahar all the time, either, ya know.

Do people like SE Cupp not realize how ill-informed they appear when they make a long-winded point and insert a one or two word Fox talking point in there? Then she waits to see if anyone is going to reward her for it. No, dearie. You're a moron. You don't get a reward for that.
