President Obama had some fun during a White House manufacturing innovation event.
Okay that may seem kind of silly to some people, or beneath the office of the President, but let me just tell you that to thirteen year olds and comic book and movie geeks everywhere this man just jumped to top of their list of favorite Presidents of all time. (I, by the way, have been both.)
Okay now I want an Iron Man suit.
OT...Just noticed Willow has a new Facebook page and new name. Why is she going by Willow Bianca?

ReplyDeleteThere is a tremendous difference between a President who has a great sense of humor and intentionally jokes with his audience, and a President who says things that are so stupid that people listening have to stifle a laugh, or laugh out of pity.

DeleteObama is a wonder.....he is working on so many things below the radar until he makes these announcements. I love Hillary but I really don't see her going after all this research and innovation like Obama, he is a real science believer. I fantasize this man with another 2 terms with a democratic congress & senate. This country would be zooming along.
ReplyDeleteI like his style as he kids around. We ARE making huge strides in robotics. I sat in one of my daughter's classes and they have an exoskeleton-like outfit that allows paraplegics to take a few steps using the central nervous system to control it., they project that it may be affordable and available within ten to fifteen years. They also had this wheelchair that adapts to walking people's eye level, so the user can hold a conversation in real time eyeball to eyeball, even while climbing stairs.

Apparently Sarah tossed away everything she learned at that conference when she decided to go all Hollywood and wear US flag eff-me stripper high heels.
He was placed on leave in the 80s for 17 days for something similar. He's been back for 30-some years to do the things Recovering Grace are reporting on. As his board of directors is filled with men he put there, and as IBLP IS Bill Gothard, I doubt anything will happen, unfortunately. It will take a young woman to come forward whose abuse is within the statute of limitations to come forward, and women in that lifestyle are taught that it is the woman's fault for tempting the man. One of the stories on RG, Gothard told her it was *her fault* her father sexually abused her- and then proceeded to do the same. It is a sick culture.
