Honey Maid's wonderful response to negativity about advertisement featuring same sex parenting, is your "must see" of the day.

The above was the commercial that Honey Maid put out last month.

As you can imagine it attracted quite a lot of vitriol from those on the Right Wing.

Including this idiotic response from One Million Moms:

Nabisco should be ashamed of themselves for their latest Honey Maid and Teddy Graham cracker commercial where they attempt to normalize sin. Right away it shows two men with a baby, followed by other families, and ends with different families pictured including the one with two dads. This commercial not only promotes homosexuality, but then calls the scene in the advertisement wholesome. The ad states, "Everyday wholesome snacks for every wholesome family. This is wholesome."

One Million Moms stands up for Biblical truth which is very clear in Romans 1:26-27 about this particular type of sexual perversion.

Honey Maid is also using the hashtag #thisiswholesome. There is concern about the way this ad is pushing the LGBT agenda, but an even greater concern is the way that they are changing the meaning of the word "wholesome." This is truly sad.

If this is what Honey Maid thinks is wholesome, then my family will no longer purchase Honey Maid or Nabisco products.

(By the way One Million Moms has nowhere near that many members.)

Apparently these homophobes thought that if they threatened not to eat graham crackers anymore they would bring Honey maid to its knees.

So how did the company respond?

See for yourself.

You know what I haven't had in a long time?

Graham crackers and peanut butter.

I think that would just about hit the spot today.

Here you go, I'm passing out tissues.

I have a diabetic in the family so I try not to bring things like this into the house. He has such a sweet tooth. But I sure can and will drop them off at a food bank. Thanks Honey Maid.

People with this kind of love, understanding, and tolerance deserve to be supported.

Here, they want to forward your emails to Nabisco, and do provide a form for that. Just edit the message to take out the hate, change it to a message of love and inclusiveness.

Ditto 4:10 am. People that are lucky enough to find others that they want to spend their lives with, raising kids (or not), contributing to the stability of communities, who can judge them because they don't conform to a certain quote from a dusty old book chock-full of contradictions. Other quotes from the very same book would condemn parts of these same hateful critics' lifestyles.

The first time I saw the commercial, the types of couples didn't sink in. I saw, a kiss, a kid holding the hands of two adults and flying, a hug. Time to buy some Honey Grahams.

Wonderful! I wonder how long till they realise how many products are under the Nabisco name. Good luck with that "Million" Moms! NO Oreos!!

The Nabisco slogan is "America's Favorite Food Company!"

You can really see the tide changing. Honey Maid publicly throws intolerance back in the faces of the bigots and Mozilla dumps their homophobic new CEO.
What a wonderful thing to witness and be a small part of!

Now that should be a Super Bowl commercial. If there are Emmys for commercials, this should rank up there in the top. Thanks for sharing this and what a powerful message. Namaste

I gotta head to the store. I simply love peanut butter on graham crackers.

I wonder if Cosco sells them by the case?

They sell a package with 8 boxes, we buy them at costco all the time. I send 1/2 to my daughter who attends college out-of-state- in her monthly "care" package. Sometimes I include marshmallows & a giant hershey bar.

Ugh. They told me that after I gave birth I'd stop being such a weepy mess. Three years later and this simple damn commercial brings me to tears. Simple, beautiful, classy, and loving. I'm gonna go hug my son now and buy him some graham crackers.

Love the commercial and love the response to the negative comments. What a great way to turn the hate into something positive and beautiful!

The haters are, thankfully, becoming far outnumbered by those who accept that what makes a real family is LOVE, not gender, color, race or culture.

Every time this commercial airs, it gives me goosebumps and warm and fuzzies. For a corporation to be so thoughtful and include all families in their promotion is rare. The Million Mom Conservatives can pound salt.
The response video was even more clever. Using their hateful words to respond with "LOVE" is brilliance.
Honey Made is my new baking ingredient and snack.
