My plan is to attend both of these hearings and report back on what transpires.
Just in case Palin reads this let me state for the record that I have NO plans to disrupt or attempt to confront or interview her or Bristol during my attendance.
All I want to do is make sure that there is nothing underhanded going on, and to provide coverage of the proceedings.
I will also state for the record that if I am denied access to the courtroom, that it will certainly be written about here and receive far more notice from other media outlets than if I am allowed to attend.
And besides that I will make sure to have a back up plan just in case Palin pulls her usual crap with me.
Once again I think that it is important for people get a factual account of how the Palins treat people with whom they have a legal conflict.

DeleteMy understanding is that most custody hearings are open to the public everywhere. A lawyer can request that all or part of the hearing is closed to the public and/or the judge can make that ruling. But by default, they are open like any other court case.

Truly hope the Judge issues instructions and rules that Saran and Todd are to follow as to this case. i.e. a - to keep their mouths shut publically as to more negative commentary about Levi and/or his family members. b - that they are to stay off his property and have to stay so many feet away from him physically c - and, that the only access they have to the child is via Bristol or Levi (agreed upon by both!).
There is a set custody arrangement already except Brisket keeps breaking it and no, she did not have Levi's okay nor the okay of a judge to remove Tripp from the state. That is why they are having these hearings.

I think that the lawyers know all about "trial tips." However, if Levi wants a good trial tip, it would be to hire an acting coach. I heard that the South African Blade Runner hired an acting coach so he could break down and cry in court. (And he did). You can bet that Bristol will acting. Levi needs to get that"thing" in his voice, the way that Oliver North kind of chocked up a little when he was testifying and needed some sympathy. (It worked). Yes, best tip, Levi, get an acting coach.

DeleteEach state is different, where I live, if you want, you can spend all day watching trails of all kinds if you feel like schlepping downtown. There's rarely any drama. They have people there in uniforms, some even have badges and guns. The judge sets the tone and can toss you out on your freshly powdered behind if he/she senses any drama. on either side.

This case is straightforward, hence the small number of court dates. (Most cases are multiple pre-trial dates and a week's worth of trial dates)
These are technically still kids, neither of whom deserve being stalked by biased people on the net or maligned for things said biased people don't understand. These are HUMAN LIVES, parents who a sweet boy.

She has also called herself an inept mother. She has publicly disparaged Levi, even in front of their son. She has caused Tripp distress and confused him about how he should feel about his father. All of this has been caught on tape and, in fact, broadcast all over the country. She has also kept Tripp from seeing his father on a regular basis.
She needs parenting classes (not from Joan Rivers).
The only spectacle here is the one Bristol has made of herself and (unfortunately) Tripp.

ReplyDeleteThe judge in that case warned Sarah Palin not to interfere. Specifically, Sarah Palin (and Todd and some other family members, apparently) were disparaging Wooten which is a big no no. In fact, the judge gave a second warning because the Heaths and Palins weren't abiding.

DeleteI'm a little surprised it's only 2 days. Though the more I think about it, there's not a lot. The issue is a father has matured to the point where he wants half custody and is finally in a position (job) to get it. None of this isn't too dramatic if you look at the average divorce with kids. Both parents live relatively near each other. Both have the same vision and can agree on parenting decisions. Fortunately, Tripp will be in Kindergarten soon and a minor change won't affect his routine. Also fortunate, is his parents are steady in employment and housing.

Bristol has traveled all over the place w/the kid which is proven - she owns a home in AZ and has been there more than in AK (past history that can be verified). Isn't Levi asking for full custody? Or, are they going for joint w/specific rules? I'm really not sure, but if I were Levi, I'd go for 'full' to make sure that Bristol, Sara and Todd have to follow the law concerning the kid! Tripp will be in school soon which means he should be kept in one location during the school year (except for holidays i.e. Christmas) so that he can excel and move forward as to his education. That will create a MAJOR change when you look at how Bristol has been doing things! Both parents have NOT lived close to each other throughout the recent years because Bristol has not been in Wasilla the majority of the time.

She may have just had a medical evaluation where she learned that the fetus she's carrying will not survive, and she faces carrying a dead fetus to the end of 9 months, risking all kinds of risks to her own health.
You have no idea what else is happening that woman's life. The man who promised to support her and stay with her may have just abandoned her. Maybe she is unmarried and her family has turned their backs on her. She may live in a small town where gossip still rules, and she can't deal with it.
You have no idea what else is going on in that woman's life. She may have received the heartbreaking news that she has an early stage cancer. She can survive if she gets the necessary chemotherapy but it will cause deformities to the unborn baby.

Bristol and Nancy don't know anything about the woman. I don't know what she said in the video, but what ever she said may not be true. She may be hiding a truth that is harder to tell. If the troll doesn't want Bristol to be judged because we don't know her, the same rule applies. Bristol should not judge others. She and Nancy have no idea what problems fill that woman's life.
The girl works for a woman's health clinic that does abortions. It's in South Jersey, near Philadelphia. Whatever her reasons for her choice, it's her right to choose. The sonogram is something she holds on to for comfort, understandable, but it's not a sign of guilt nor a crime of any kind. Think I'll jump in here as I've had an abortion. I have never had one regret that I did so. I was young, on my own and in no way mature enough to bring a child into the world. I learned a big lessons though - I always used contraception thereafter.

DeleteI don't know the episode but I did see it when it first aired. Bristol made a point of shooting Levi's face on the book. She was satisfied with her shot. I am pretty sure I saw Tripp there at the end, he looked troubled and trying to hide or something. The film company has more film that can be requested. Bristol stated she did this show for Tripp, like it was a memory album he would have as an adult. It was all about knowing the real Bristol Palin. Her way of 'loving' Tripp.

Having spent far too many years in a custody case with an abusive ex, I can tell you that you will be very noticeable in court, and you will be asked who you are. People that will be testifying before the court can not be present in the courtroom, so the judge will need to know if you are a witness of not. Having done court watches for other parents, I suggest that you identify yourself as a citizen observer and nothing more. Some posting here suggest the courtroom will be crowded--it won't--usually just the parties, their lawyers and maybe a couple of supporters.
