Alaskans have spoken, New poll shows that virtually NONE of us want Sarah Palin in the White House.

Courtesy of PPP:

Alaskans don't have much to say for a potential Sarah Palin Presidential bid in 2016. Only 19% think she should seek the White House, compared to 74% who think she should sit it out. Even among Republicans just 24% want her to run while 70% believe she should take a pass. Palin is actually so weak that she would trail Hillary Clinton 44/41 in a hypothetical contest, even as the rest of the Republican field would lead Clinton.

Remember Alaskans are the ones that know this lunatic best, so obviously the vast majority of us would NEVER vote for her if she were to run for President.

Also note that she has NEVER been asked to give the commencement speech at any of our high schools or colleges up here, even though many former governors have been asked to do so in the past.

Simply put, very few Alaskans can stand her.

Other findings in the poll were that 47% of us favor the legalization of marijuana, with 45% against.

And that we now support same sex marriage with 52% in favor, and a mere 43% still hating on the gays. (By the way those numbers have essentially reversed since a similar poll was done last February.)

So the take away from this poll is that Alaska is finally heading toward much more progressive policies, and that Sarah Palin remains our most embarrassing export.

Okay so here's the deal. IQ is what we called normally distributed: 100 is the average and 68% of the population is expected to fall within +/- one standard deviation, a range that turns out to be 85-115. That leaves the other 32% split between the two tails, in other words, a full 16% of the population -- roughly 1-in-6 -- with IQs lower than 85. Additionally, an estimated 1-in-17 Americans, about 6%, live with a serious mental illness. Some of these 6% are also in the low-IQ group, but I believe sufferers of mental illness have the same IQ range as the general population, so most of the 6% are in addition to the 16% who are dim bulbs. There are different types of mental illness, including severe depression, so not all mentally ill individuals are expected to embrace Palin as Queen of the Crazies. But let's say half do. So there you have it, 16% + 3% = 19%. Sarah's base.

G... Why did Alaskan's Vote her for GOV then?
I know AKM and Shannyn were saying the SOS vote for the teabag it will be easier to beat...but that shit is OLD and, flawed....
Why did Alaskan's vote for the skank anyway? That question has never been answered by Alaskans....?

I guess that it's time for Lou Sarah and Louise Heath to start writing letters to the editors praising Sarah Palin's brief term of office as the half-time governor. I'll give you a little help. "She accomplished more in one half term than most governors accomplish in a lifetime." Or, Sarah is too to be limited to one political office. She is so big that she could serve as both governor and president at the same time. Where is the law that says you can't hold two political offices at the same time?" A journalism major can surely write better letters than these.

People who are pretty much just white in general are the only ones who appreciate her, and the majoritiy of them are out of state. Hell, they even made a show just for her on national telivision. Being native myself, she shouldn't be running for anything and just quit her job to work for a whole different country altogether. She's an embarrasment to all natives and makes us look bad, alongside with the rest of the white people.

The only reason that anyone suggests that Sarah might run in 2012 or 2016 is to generate contributions to her PAC. Sarah Palin will NEVER run for president, or any other public office. It's too much work. Being selected to be the VP candidate meant two months of actual work (not to mention the hard work behind the scenes to get the nomination). Sarah could not last for 4 years as governor. That issue would follow her to any future public office. Why did she quit? (And it wasn't to progress Alaska. It was to progress her finances.) Sarah would have to show some documents and her tax forms. It is also said that for all of his bluster, Donald Trump will never run for anything that requires him to show his tax forms. His creditors would love to get a look at his finances. People know that Palin is not smart enough to occupy any public office. She has become the spoof character who we saw on SNL.

Sarah can't really run for anything, it might involve work. Sarah's scam is to pretend, and most of her donators have already caught on. She can't run because she is too unstable to be out of mental health treatment for more than 6 weeks at a time( why else would she disappear from radar every 6 to 8 weeks) and she has too many secrets to make it through an election. Ironically, if she would have admitted to a fake pregnancy to cover for her slut daughter she may have been forgiven. But to put the slut, on top of the pimp, and tax evasion, and Wallow's antics would just be too much at a time. Sorry Granny Sarah, you chose to cover the one thing most American citizens could have looked past, but we won't when it is on top of the rest of the list.

    O/T but most interesting!

Snowden Is The Kind of Guy I Used to Recruit—in Russia

As the CIA's director of operations, I knew that narcissistic under-achievers were the easiest to turn. Now he’s put our whole country in danger.

But Edward Snowden’s video-game world is not the real world. As a former director of operations for the CIA, I see Snowden in a very different light. My colleagues and I in the agency spent our careers looking for people like him—on the other side, that is. We worked hard to locate the kind of person who could be persuaded to give up his country’s secrets: narcissistic, often delusional under-achievers whom we could hope to turn into loose-lipped sources in our enemies’ camps and other hostile locations. We understood just how valuable it was to every aspect of our foreign policy to know the plans and intentions of our enemies; the best way to do this was to look for a source and exploit people like Snowden, the National Security Agency leaker, to target for this purpose.

The Russians weren’t slouches either in searching for sources of classified information. They were looking for their Snowdens too. You don’t have to go back too far to see their success in recruiting American spies with unique access – John Anthony Walker, Aldreich Ames, and Robert Hanssen – who did immense damage to our national security. Moreover, Ames and Hanssen’s compromises led to the death of many of our top Russian sources. Walker’s compromise, by contrast, allowed the Soviets to know the locations of U.S. submarines around the world. One shudders to think what more could have been done against us if they had had Snowden’s access to sensitive communications and his technical know-how on how to extract it from the system. Some people think of Snowden as a latter-day Daniel Ellsberg, a noble whistle-blower. Clearly I do not.

For those who believe that the United States should step back from its engagement from the world, toning down our robust national security and dramatically shrinking our defense and intelligence community, Greenwald’s rationale and Snowden’s behavior might appear to vaguely honorable. And in this next round of debate, the emphasis will once again be on the domestic side of Snowden’s disclosures, as opposed to the enormous international damage done to our country’s self-defense by his revelations.

The picture looks different for those who believe, as I do, that the world is still a very dangerous place and that America faces grave challenges from a range of threats as it plays its essential role as guarantor of global peace: terrorism and instability across the Middle East; China’s military muscle-flexing in Asia; and Putin’s imperial designs in Ukraine and potentially towards other neighbors. From this perspective, Snowden’s actions are deeply troubling in that they directly caused a serious loss of capability to understand the plans and intentions of current and future adversaries. Snowden single-handedly blinded us to critical targets and eliminated our ability to see what some of the key players on the international stage are up to. From first-hand experience, I can state unequivocally that the capability to do this comes at incredibly great cost in time, money and personal sacrifice.

As James Clapper, the director of national intelligence, told the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence in January, Snowden’s disclosures constituted “the most massive and damaging theft of intelligence in our history.” He added that “we’ve lost critical foreign intelligence collection sources, including some shared with us by valued partners. … Terrorists and other adversaries of this country are going to school on U.S. intelligence sources, methods and tradecraft, and the insights they are gaining are making our job much, much harder.”

Knowing her monthly expenses exceed her incoming scam $$$, knowing that the house in Phoenix will soon have to go, along with the cabins and the extra house on the lake, wondering why it came to this, wondering why the big bucks haven't continued, wondering how those other people with $$$ manage it without ever considering that they might actually work Poor Sarah, hating the day she has to let todd off the "Pac" roll to live off his pimping, and to tell Trackmarks , Brisket, and Wallow that they have to look for jobs, .....all the while looking out from the dock, long after those ripples have ceased from that long gone ship that sailed yrs ago. Someday Little Piper will hear about how hairdresser and nail girl older sisters traveled and grifted for yrs before having to work, as she sweeps the hair and nail trimmings across the floor she will scream inside "Why Sarah did you have to fuck it up for ME!!!!", but no one will hear her silent scream as she sweeps and sweeps some more.....

While reading this post, I recalled how hyped many were about Palin in 2008. As Ms. Jones notes, it was because most Americans didn't know who/what she was--a decorative, vile, divisive, mouthpiece for the GOP. After hearing her speak, I saw her as an intellectual lightweight from the very beginning. I guess Alaskans are now seeing the same thing I saw when she first hit the political scene--an empty vessel. What tore Palin's butt with many in Alaska was when she backed Joe Miller and assisted the TP and libertarians to take over the state GOP. When the Anchorage Daily News, the News Miner, and Alaska bloggers alerted the public to the fact that TPers outside of the state were responsible for Joe Miller's winning the GOP nomination for the Senate, and that most of his money came from out of the state, it made many Alaskans angry. Palin will forever be connected to an attempt to hijack the Alaska GOP. She shat in her own backyard and Alaskans don't like it. Now she knows

But if you're looking for amusement, go on-line to find the interview Palin did with Charlie Rose, together with Janet Napolitano, back in 2007. Palin does nothing but spout platitudes, hardly more than drill baby drill. The look on Rose's face is priceless as he nods in responds to her drivel and then turns back to Napolitano for more actual conversation.
