Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Yes, this. Exactly this.
This may be the best representation of religion that I have ever seen.
They have turned religion into money making scams, and corporations that don't tell the truth. All of a sudden it's okay to lie, cheat, steal. Most are the most immoral people you would ever meet, but they are going to heaven according to them.
Jerry Prevo - Baptist - Anchorage, AK - preaches religion and politics from the pulpit! Has his 'belongers' wear red t-shirts and appear at demonstrations.
Run from him and his followers as quickly as possible folks! They are a creepy group to behold all in the name of their god!
No, this is stupid. The guy in front should be a scheming charlatan with a pompadour and an expensive suit holding bags of money. Portraying the front guy as a blind guy makes it seem harmless and misguided and completely misses what the real impetus of the whole thing is.
Religion is a legitimized confidence game.
ReplyDeleteThe title/caption could also read RACISM or HATRED, or even 'We don't need no stinkin' critical thinkin' too and also.
ReplyDeleteIs that a young Rupert Murdoch in the sun glasses with the cane? Or maybe it is Sean Hannity?
dowl
Religion is like economics (reading Elizabeth Warren’s book), you’ve got to read the fine print and think for yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou notice all the people spewing hate these days in this country are christians?
ReplyDeleteWell, no, actually...they're only CINOs (Christian in name only) and I hope this acronym gets used more and more.
DeleteAnd most of that hate is being spewed right from the pulpit!

DeleteAs soon as I see other churches protesting at the ones spewing hate I will think there is a difference and not before.

And, money!
DeleteReligion:
ReplyDeletethe selling of an invisible product that one doesn't know if it's real or not until one dies...
all for 10% of everything you earn.

ReplyDeleteThe blind leading the blind - perfect!
The blind leading the willfully blind.
DeleteSimple, yet to the point.
