Former Juneau Rep. Beth Kerttula has joined the Obama Administration as Director of the National Ocean Council Office.
Since January, Kerttula has been a visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Ocean Solutions. She was appointed to the federal job on Wednesday and is already at work in Washington, D.C.
The job was announced in an email to her Stanford colleagues, where Kerttula has been working on ocean issues. She has described her role there as a conduit between state legislatures and science policy makers, bringing them together to discuss ocean policies. In that job, she had worked with the National Ocean Council.
President Obama established the council by executive order in 2010. Kerttula will lead the office that supports it.
A handful of you may remember that Kerttula resigned her position as House Minority Leader earlier this year in order to take that position at Stanford, that now appears to have been a stepping stone to a career in Washington.
However the rest of you will probably only remember Kerttula for a rather famous picture.
So good luck in your new job Beth, but for those of us who have doggedly pursued the truth behind Palin's bizarre "pregnancy" your place in history has already been assured.
Congratulations to Beth! I enjoyed watching her when she served in the Alaska Legislature - she had a top spot there too!

According to Morgan, the fact there was "more movement" from Putin than Obama led him to believe the Russian leader was more "agitated" than his American counterpart. Morgan noted Putin could be seen "rubbing his nose" at one point and "shaking his head" while Obama remained relatively still.

Plenty of women throughout history have claimed their grandchildren, the children of their underaged and unmarried children, as their own. I agree that Palin took it a little further than most, wearing the scarves and then the fake belly and fabricating her unbelievable tale.
Most families just send the pregnant kid away until the baby is born and then quietly adopt it. That's why I believe that Trig came sooner and his birth was a surprise and then Mrs. Palin had to put on a dog and pony show to explain where he came from. Bristol was sent away, but most likely delivered Trig way sooner than expected and being the airhead she is, Mrs. Palin set about to become "pregnant", especially after she found out about his condition.
While what she did was unethical, it was not illegal.

Then I guess I'm treasonous. Because when George W. Bush was president, you bet your ass I hated him more than I "loved our men and women in uniform." In fact, regardless of who is president, I do not love anyone who was misguided enough to enlist in the military. Why should I, when that was a choice they made freely and a choice I don't agree with? They are not protecting our freedumbs, they are protecting the interests of oil companies and government contractors, so I consider them mercenaries. Too bad for them they are too brainwashed by the ridiculous military worship in this country to realize it.
As for Sarah Palin, she hates Obama, obviously, but it's her right to do so. There is no legal requirement that U.S. citizens love the president, and there is no requirement that we must love the troops either. We can hate them as much as we want, and express that hate all we want, too.
I hope Sarah gets through to the people who are debriefing Sgt. Bergdhal because she can save us a ton of money. They can end the debriefing and medical since she knows what 5 years of captivity was and what it did to the last American POW.

ReplyDeleteGryphen -- Just for the record, February 25 to April 18, Trig Palin's birthday, makes it 52 to 54 days, not 22. 4 or 5 days in February (2008 was a Leap Year), 31 days in March, then 17 or 18 in April. This doesn't make Palin look any more likely to have been 7 and 1/2 to 8 and 1/2 months pregnant in the pictures.

I don't think Beth Kerttula had any positive proof that Palin was not pregnant at the time, as a matter of fact, that photo was taken before she even announced her "pregnancy". I'm sure there were questions in many people's minds that had contact with Mrs. Palin from January 2008 until she announced her "pregnancy" in early March. Lyda Green, then an Alaska State Senator, was famous for stating after Palin had announced her condition that Mrs. Palin did not look pregnant.
DeleteI'm sure lots of tongues were wagging not only in Juneau, but statewide, both from average citizens and politicians who had frequent contact with her. The problem is that no one can prove or disprove where Trig came from. As far as we know there is no record of his birth and unfortunately only her (or whomever was pregnant with Trig's) delivery doctor and a few nurses know the truth and they are bound by medical privacy to not disclose the facts of his birth. This was a perfect hoax for Mrs. Palin to pull off because most of the Mat-Su Regional board were beholden to her for their positions. Too easy for her to zip this up forever and throw away the key.
They sealed ALL records. Who does that if there's nothing to hide? They have PLENTY.

The people who worked with Palin and did see and know a few things, it is not to late to talk about what they experienced and why no one could come up with how to ferret for more clear answers. The least they could do is talk and discuss the situation now. It is astounding how many people seem to believe they have no free speech or they fear they will be called a 'truther'. Someone has pulled a gigantic hoax and the people that were part of it can't even talk about their experience and what they think of things now.
How do you seal all records? In the medical field there are lots of people who would see those records. Insurance companies for example. Someone has to tell the truth.

If I was in a situation like Beth Kerttula and say someone did an interview with me. It is legal to tell the truth. Even the parts that are opinion and what you base opinions. The only right thing to do is to come out and tell the truth.

Most of all if there was any appearance of criminal activity. Those like Beth are just as criminal for turning their back and allowing someone to rob the store and possibly kill a clerk. The state employees didn't and aren't doing their job regarding the people of the state or the country. They aren't Public Servants. They slave for the fraud.
It is awful to think we pay the salary for people that can do nothing, in some cases, if their boss turns out to be a crook. Not one state employee can look out for the taxpayers interests? They are forced to remain complicit with a crook? What kind of system is that?
