A Massachusetts man shot and killed a Pawtucket man and then turned the gun on himself after finding his ex-girlfriend in the other man's bedroom Monday night, according to Pawtucket police.
Robert Amado, 43, of 22 Plymouth St., in Carver, shot into the bedroom window of the first-floor apartment at 96 North Bend St. after seeing his ex-girlfriend and 45-year-old Timothy J. Robillard inside, said Maj. Arthur Martins.
Amado then forced his way in through the broken window after the couple, firing multiple times at Robillard, according to the police. Robillard was killed, and the woman fled.
Amado then fired a final shot, killing himself, Martins said. Officers called about gunfire and screams at the apartment at 10 p.m. found both men dead, Martins said. A revolver was next to Amado.
Despite what the NRA and ammosexuals want you to believe, THIS is how guns are most often utilized in this country.
They are used by angry, jealous, or suicidal people to take the life of another or their own, NOT by courageous patriots repelling invaders from a foreign land while standing on their back porch or fighting off a horde of bad guys determined to hurt their families or steal their flat screen TV's.
I seem to be in the minority in that I understand a person taking his or her own life. The quickest and surest way to do that is with a gun. However, you don't take anyone with you.
ReplyDeleteAnd the shooters are primarily men. So much for the belief that women are the hysterical ones. When it comes to homicide and suicide, men are an emotionally unstable bunch.
ReplyDeleteDone mainly over women! Theres a thought

Chicago Lawmakers Approve Tough Gun Shop Restrictions
The Chicago City Council on Wednesday unanimously approved a law that would allow the resumption of gun sales in the city but with restrictions that require videotaping of purchases and limiting sales to one per month per buyer.
Forty-eight council members voted to approve the ordinance proposed by Mayor Rahm Emanuel after a federal court invalidated the city's long-time ban on gun sales in January.
The law also requires a 72-hour waiting period to purchase handguns in the nation's third largest city and a 24-hour waiting period to purchase rifles and shotguns.

NRA Fights For Convicted Stalkers' Gun Rights
ReplyDeleteThe National Rifle Association is fighting proposed federal legislation that would prohibit those convicted of stalking and of domestic violence against dating partners from buying guns.
...The NRA also argues in the letter that "stalking" is too broad of a term to indicate any danger to women. "'Stalking' offenses do not necessarily include violent or even threatening behavior,"

I'm seething with you. It was an accident, the family, while upset, is happy that little Caroline is in a "better place"......
ReplyDeleteStop the insanity.
The part that got me was that in these parts it's common for parents to give guns to five year olds, pass them down ..... If it was common to jump off a bridge, would people drive their kids so they could jump?
We need to change the order from murder suicide to just suicide. . Having guns just makes it easier to make "snap" decisions when emotions are high and testosterone levels go over the top.
ReplyDeleteWhat part of "ex girlfriend" did the gun guy not get? And who's business was it that she moved on with her life? Clearly he needed help, and his only solution was killing a man then killing himself to avoid prison time. No one "won".
wake up don't blame a firearm for a losers action...small minds
