Snohomish County Sheriff's Office confiscates anti-tank rifle from drug dealer's storage unit. Gotta love America.

A very large anti-tank rifle is probably one of the last thing you want in possession of a wanted criminal, but that's exactly what the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reportedly found inside a storage locker belonging to a suspected drug dealer.

The Snohomish County Regional Drug and Gang Task Force arrested 40-year-old Aaron Knapp outside his storage unit in Everett Wednesday on suspicion of attempted delivery of a controlled substance.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a search warrant served on Knapp's Mercedes and storage unit turned up a pound of meth, half a pound of heroin, 15 firearms and approximately $40,000 in cash.

Of those firearms, 12 were military assault rifles (five of which were confirmed stolen), two were stolen handguns and one was a fully functional 20 mm anti-tank/sniper rifle, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Gee I wonder how the NRA will defend this loser's right to own an arsenal of military assault rifles and a freaking anti-tank rifle?

You know, not that I am an expert on the Constitution or anything, but I have a little difficulty in believing that the Founding Fathers had anything like this in mind when they wrote:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Don't you agree?

Is the same guy that had a live grenade in his fridge when they served the warrant? I am all for responsible gun ownership and reasonable restrictions, problem is the loudest voices in this debate seem to be the craziest. Sarah is this one of the domestic terrorists that pal around with... I bet he is just your type

I'm sure when the founding fathers wrote the Constitution they never imagined the Government having tanks and nukes and fighter jets and drones either Gryphen. If they had, they've had written even more restrictions on the Government in the Constitution. It was after all written to protect the common man from the Government, not the Government from the common man.

Any minute Scarah will be on Facebook with this story of a U.S. Marine. She is so interested in the lives of military when they are home in America.

Patriots Hotline Founder: We're Forming a Human Chain to Stop Illegals
    Sunday, 29 Jun 2014 11:46 AM

Rogers declined to give an exact head count beyond "more than 50 people" or reveal whether participants are armed, citing worries about their security.

But she said blockaders will follow the same rules of engagement as protesters in an April standoff between federal officials and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy.

"Just like at the Bundy ranch, there will be no patriot out there on that line that will fire first," Rogers said.

Her website on Wednesday posted a "call to ACTION for all Militia, III%ers, Oathkeepers, and Patriotic support personnel."

"We are trying to contact every person and every patriot in the United States to go down and help do something the government should have done a long time ago," Rogers said.

As for whether blockaders are carrying firearms, she said, "The situation these men are walking into — they have a very good possibility of being shot by the drug cartels down there, the gang members down there, and also by our own government down there."

Bundyesque? Looks like the fringe nuts aren't going to be happy until blood is spilled and I'm sure some are willing to die for it so one of them can become a martyr.

I sure hope somebody is keeping an eye on the t-bagger militia's commando movements. I'm sure they are. They actually think they're going to replace our country's military. These people are scary when you start to look at their facebook pages.

  10. Federal offense, possession of a firearm by an indicted criminal is mandatory 3-4 years per firearm. That's even BEFORE they get to the drugs. He's going away for a long, long time- if they prosecute.

I totally agree, this was the furthest from what the founding fathers meant.
The NRA will probably justify it as they do anything else they support. "The only way to stop a really really really bad guy with a tank is to have a really really really good guy with the biggest anti tank gun you can get your hands on"

  13. I still find it insane that the pro 2nd amendment crowd can defend the right of any citizen to own an anti-tank weapon or a grenade launcher, and buy ammo for both.

What is mentally wrong with these people?

I don't even see how owning a handgun is justifiable. Handguns are to kill people. You want to hunt? You use any number of rifles. But you don't use a hand gun, an assault rifle or an anti-tank weapon to hunt. Well, not hunt deer. Last I checked, you are not legally allowed to hunt humans.
