Jared and Amanda Miller. |
It’s been quite a month for the National Rifle Association: Massacres at universities, in restaurants, and at retail stores from South Carolina to Las Vegas. Gun nuts porting assault weapons to dinner from Chili’s to Chipotle. The leaders of the take-no-prisoners gun-rights organization have been witness to the logical outgrowth of its policies and rhetoric. Much as the GOP helped create the lunatic-fringe Tea Party within its midst, the NRA chieftains have helped birth a beast whose black heart now beats strongly among its most radical adherents.
The NRA’s officials purposefully pipeline propaganda to the most loony-tunes among us. They’ve told these gun cultists that they had best arm themselves with as many weapons and as lethal weaponry as they can get their hands on, because either a black president or a black helicopter will be hunting them down shortly. Simultaneously, they’ve used every electoral and lobbying tactic to best enable these unstable individuals to have access to the weaponry of war from which they and their arms-dealer cronies so handsomely profit.
The result: They’ve watched impotently as this witch’s brew of mental illness, far-right politics, propaganda, and heavy weaponry has led to one shocking—yet wholly predictable—massacre after another, with the most recent targets including the execution-style murders of two lunching police officers in Las Vegas. These very same factors have also provided the impetus for a group of lunkheads to share their passion for taking AK-47s to lunch—even though the rest of us have no interest in sharing their emotionally degraded worldview.
It’s quite a con. And it’s killing us.
Very well said.
And of course it should b e obvious to even these inbred knuckleheads that the more guns that are out in the community the more bullets there are to fire.
And the more paranoia that is drummed by the NRA about the government coming to take those weapons the more likely they will be fired.
And the more terrified the politicians are to do anything about it, the more likely more of us will be killed in this, the land of the free.
There are now people living in Beirut who feel safer than people living in this country today.
THAT is what the NRA has done to us.
In that top picture the Millers remind me so much of the Patriot pals of the Palins. They love dressing up in Vegas.

"Is there a Difference Between Charles Manson and Sarah Palin?"
DeleteSarah was a bigger failure and twice as angry. Mandon dressed better than Sarah, and some say he had much better hygiene. But I'm just being fair and balanced here.
Also, Charlie Manson wore a lot less makeup since he didn't have all of those divots on his cheeks and forehead like Scarah. Manson had his own hair at age 50, unlike Half-Term, Half-Ass, Quitter-Grifter Trannie-Man Baldy®.
LISTEN TO YOUR PRESIDENT!!!
ReplyDeleteA Fired Up President Obama Calls Out Democrats for Not Voting in Midterms
Speaking to a group of supporters from a corner of the room at a fundraiser in Weston, Massachusetts, President Obama said, “Democrats do have one congenital disease, and that is that we don’t vote during midterms and we don’t feel the same sense of urgency during midterms, and we like the presidential races and the hoopla and the glitz. But this is where the rubber hits the road.”
Obama voice was a little hoarse, per the white House pooler. “Some of you saw there was an interesting election yesterday,” Obama said referencing Cantor’s surprising defeat, drawing laughter. Obama then pointed out that Cantor’s defeat should not be used as an excuse to do nothing on immigration reform.
Detailing his agenda of (in part) getting immigration reform done, rebuilding our infrastructure around this country, investing in basic research and science, equal pay for equal work and a strong minimum wage, Obama told the room of supporters, “That’s what this evening is about. That’s what my presidency has been about. That’s what the next six months is going to be about leading up to the midterms… And the only way I’m going to be able to do that is to make sure that we’ve got a strong showing in these midterms. I’m not on the ballot, but this is my last race — because the better we do in the midterms, the more likely we are to get the things done that everybody in this room knows needs to be done.”
“Democrats do have one congenital disease, and that is that we don’t vote during midterms and we don’t feel the same sense of urgency during midterms, and we like the presidential races and the hoopla and the glitz. But this is where the rubber hits the road. I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that the House of Representatives does the right thing, that we no longer have one extreme faction that is blocking what the majority of the American people want to see happen with comprehensive immigration reform.
But it would be a whole lot easier if Democrats vote in the midterms.”
“But I got to tell you, I really want to keep a Democratic Senate. And I want to tell you that I want to keep a Democratic Senate not because I think Democrats have a monopoly on wisdom. Sometimes people ask me what would I like for Father’s Day or Christmas or my birthday, and pretty close to the top of my list is usually a loyal and rational opposition. (Laughter.) We want a Republican Party that can function and with which we can negotiate and compromise and help move the country forward. But unfortunately, that’s not what we’re seeing in Washington right now from the Republicans.”
The President explained why it’s urgent that Democrats vote, because he needs Congressional action — he can’t fix everything from the White House, “On every one of these subjects, whether it’s climate change or minimum wage, I’m taking steps that don’t require congressional action, but we can make a whole lot more progress if we’re voting in the midterms.”
“You got to feel in your gut that this is really important and put everything you got into it. That’s what I’m going to do — despite having told Michelle that I’d already run my last campaign,” he said drawing more laughter. “It turns out I had to tell her I got one more left.”

Earth to people. When you have a comedian say that a candidate should be gang-raped in Harlem, THAT is an attack for being a woman. If that were about ANY democratic woman, you would freak out and call the fbi on the comedian.
ReplyDeleteWell, look at those two, they're dead now. Guess what? You wanted to leave a name for yourselves? You didn't. And for those who still don't have a clue, one Miss Sarah Heath divorced Palin spoke to Oath Keepers of which these two were a part of. WHO is going to speak up and stop this shit? She is a witch on wheels.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that a grown person wrote this like it's A-ok is unsettling. The don't realize that we will NEVER HAVE AN ADEQUATE and MORAL leader if we continue to be bystanders to a media who makes money off others' pain. My words are in parenthesis.

I don't think Sarah gets it that politics is nasty. Negative comments and reactions to a politician are not "attacks". It is the way the game is played. Does she even consider all her heated rhetoric about Obama and the Democrats are exactly what she complains about? (THIS is the most hypocritical statement I've ever read. EVERY single thing democrats on blogs complain about they are guilty of. They criticize Palin for experience while Obama has less record (he had none.)
They attacked people's appearance even when it's fine, yet very few people actually point out bad pictures of democrats.
Democrats spread slander about non-political people, including youth. They insist the media is rightwing-centric yet Obama has NEVER been interviewed in a legitimate manner and must have a prepared statements forEVERY question asked..Ill stop there since there's a word limit)
She spews hatred and horrible comments. That is ok. When someone does it to her it is an attack. Go figure." (THIS is all bloggers and commenters here and PG do., added to lies they tell.)
If and HOPE when Hillary runs, what she will say then.
DeleteHere kitty kitty kitty....
Proceed,ex-guvner.
8:54 PM You have never grown up. All of your comments are uninformed and childish. Get a Life, Troll. The Palins don't even like you. You continuously
Deletemake a fool of yourself, and you take no advice.
To Anonymous8:54 PM, you are a nasty, despicable piece of work. You lie, distort, and make things up. Your stupid, infantile comments should be an embarrassment to you.
DeleteAnd 2008 was ALL about undercutting women when Biden often proved he is WAY dumber than Palin, yet those interviews, including a Couric one, were ignored or buried.
ReplyDeleteUndercutting? BOY aren't YOU dumb.. He gave her a break, that darlin' smilin' O'Biden. Oh, sad little troll, I hope you got your nickel tonight for posting.
DeletePalin's IQ = 83. VP Biden's = 145. Yours @8:55 = 2.
DeleteYawn. . . thanks for the click$. We all love helping out Gryphen for all the great work he's done to expose Sarah the melting iceberg.
Delete8:55 PM Is that all that have? You repeat the same shit frequently. Sarah Palin would lose a debate with a 12 year old. Biden held back all of his intellect and felt sorry for Sarah Palin.
DeleteYou are stupid, lying, insane and ignorant.
DeleteI can only imagine, had VP Biden answered "Yes, it's "Mr Biden" when Tootsie asked "Mind if I call you Joe?", how many times she'd have fallen on her face?
DeleteLook no further than the face of the NRA, Wayne La Pierre and his rhetoric for an example of untreated mental illness taken to it's logical conclusion. The problem is you can't reason with crazy people.
