This is disturbingly accurate.
Hopefully this time Democrats will pull their heads out of their asses and recognize that non-presidential election cycles are just as important as elections in which we select our Commander-in-Chief.
I'm a Democrat and I just voted in California's Primary Election. I have voted in every election since I was eligible at 21 (yes, that was many years ago). If you don't vote, don't complain about the elected officials; you left that choice up to those of us who vote.
I learned early on the value of a vote and haven't missed one since I turned 18 and I'm 53 ish now. That cartoon is my worst nightmare, but after working with Organizing for America and seeing the exuberance and respect for their votes and their voices being counted, I think today's younger democrats still have motivation to vote.
Whenever I see something like this, it reminds me of Nicholle Wallace, after tutoring the special needs veep and doing all that hard work to polish her image and hide her flaws, admitted that she couldn't, in good conscience, vote for her own candidate.
What a scathing rebuke of what Sarah Palin is and stands for.

I voted in my primary on Tuesday, in person, and I will be voting in November, in person.
ReplyDeleteI never miss a vote. Ever.
