Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin can forget about any thoughts she has of becoming president in 2016, a new poll of Alaskan voters shows.
The Public Policy Polling survey shows that 55 percent of Alaskans have a negative view of Palin while only 36 percent have a favorable opinion of her.
Also, only 20 percent, in the state feel that Palin should run for the White House while 74 percent think she should stay out of it, which were similar figures to a PPP survey in May.
Republican voters, in fact, placed Palin in sixth position when they were asked which candidate should win the GOP nomination in her home state for the presidential race.
The poll showed that Palin has the distinction of being the only GOP candidate to trail Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head matchup , with the former secretary of state leading Palin by 46 percent to 40 percent.
"It’s been more than five years since Sarah Palin quit as governor of Alaska," Dean Debnam, president of Public Policy Polling, said in a statement. "And there’s no evidence that her image is getting any better."
It does not look as if Palin will be attracting any Alaskan dollars to her new "channel" either:
According to the statement, Palin seemed "more interested in money-making opportunities than seeking elected office again anyway."
Alaskan voters, however, have little interest in her new Internet TV channel, with only 4 percent saying they may subscribe to it while 89 percent declared that they will not sign up, according to the poll.
This should come as no big surprise to those of us who have waded through the SarahPAC filings and found virtually NO donations from people living in Alaska.
Keep this in mind the next time that severely under medicated troll comes stumbling through here telling everybody that Palin has all of these friends in Alaska.
Just about EVERYBODY up here hates her ass, and the only people who still defend her are those that are paid to do so.
Oh and this is also why she will not endorse a candidate up here. Because if she did that person's political career would disappear right before your eyes.

ReplyDeleteConsider a once popular governor tapped to be a VP candidate. One would think such a politician would be forever used as a coveted endorsement. NOT! It is astounding how much we Alaskans learned about our governor once she became John McCain’s attack dog. We learned she was a con. We probably wouldn't have heard the whole truth about Troopergate had she not become the VP pick. She was already angling to make the problem go away. Remember the free money ($1,200) she announced in July 2008 that would be added to the permanent fund disbursement that year? This was in the middle of the Troopergate scandal. How many politicians in the middle of an inquiry into wrongdoing would have the hubris to pull such a stunt? After McCain put her on his ticket we learned what a "piece of work" she is. It was shocking to see how shallow, ignorant and incurious our governor actually was! The empress suddenly had no clothes or the magic curtain Todd Palin provided for his wife’s failings. She was finally exposed for the fraud she is. I actually thank McCain for the favor of Palin’s uncovering. If she had carried on as our governor the ruse might have continued on and she would eventually have emerged as one of the GOP’s darlings. She is exceedingly ambitious beyond her abilities. As it is now, she is the poisonous snake in the grass she has always been.

I devoured the book Atlas Shrugged years ago. It dawned on me this afternoon watching Sarah babble her own special brand of word salad against Elizabeth Warren, how Sarah Palin is so like Lillian, Hank Reardon's Wife. Lillian was the consummate grifter/shrew, just like our Sara. The last appearance of Lillian in the book, she tries one last time to belittle and humiliate her ex-husband. She is destroyed when she realizes she has lost any control she ever had over Hank. She is "dead in the flesh" to him and that knowledge destroys her....That is kind of where I equate Sarah's life is today.. the world is ignoring her and the fact that daily she is becoming more and more insignificant is destroying her.
