Sarah Palin comes out "guns ablazing" in defense of Texas Governor Rick Perry.

Well you had to know that once Perry was indicted that Palin was going to have to come charging to his defense. And apparently she was able to convince Fox to let her leave the purgatory of her Facebook page and her "channel" to have it published somewhere that people might actually see it.

Courtesy of Fox News:

This ridiculous politically motivated “indictment” of Governor Rick Perry stems from the ugly thug tactics of the "politics of personal destruction" that the left is known for. They draw blood and leave scars on conservatives who threaten their political power, hoping the threat retreats and hoping his or her base of support remains silent in fear of becoming collateral damage.

Thankfully, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and those of us with scars to prove it can help others learn from things like this Texas-sized political drama.

Palin goes on to trash Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, while of course defending Perry's attempts to force her out of her job and punish those working for her after she decided to stay.

But hey, enough about Perry, let's get to what Palin really wants to talk about.

Herself.

I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason, so in hindsight I can value my own experience as a conservative governor dealing with leftwing activists who would stop at nothing to take out a successful Republican.

I was riddled with countless frivolous ethics complaints and lawsuits after being nominated as the GOP vice presidential candidate, all in an attempt to derail my governorship and personally bankrupt my family.

One by one these complaints were tossed out on the basis of their frivolity,  (So easy to do when the people determining the outcome were all appointed by the Republican Governor that preceded her.) but the activists got what they wanted via the complicit liberal media's consistent headline: “Palin Charged With Ethic Complaints!”

It didn’t matter that the “complaint” was for something as absurd as wearing an old snow machine jacket with my husband's logo on it, or answering reporters' questions inside my state office, or giving a pro bono speech for a pro-life charity; again in hindsight the ridiculousness of the constant charges -- that cost millions to defend and halted all progress in my administration -- would seem hilarious if they'd not been so unfair to the public.

The media breathlessly reported on every one of the liberal's complaints with bold font, front page coverage. But when each one was overturned, most times we never even saw one mention about our vindication.

Do you get it yet? Poor Sarah Palin was harassed by baseless ethics complaints, even though she was completely innocent of all wrongdoing, as determined by the incredibly partisan personnel board that looked into them.

You know except in reality where she was actually quite guilty of a number of things, many of which never reached the personnel board, or the courts. Much to my frustration.

But let's get back to the reason that Palin was given this forum shall we?

I have no doubt that Rick Perry will weather this storm because he's better prepared for this kind of B.S. than we were up here in Texas's big sister state, when the politics of personal destruction ramped up to unimaginable levels.

Rick won't have to worry about the Republican establishment piling on, either. He's more ingratiated with the political machine than someone considered still an unknown who'd go rogue on GOP kingmakers when they acted unethically, so he's fortunate to only face a firing squad from one side.

Wait, was that last part about Rick Perry? That did not seem to be about Rick Perry.

Time to sum up:

Don’t fall for those "Another Corrupt Conservative Governor; This Time in Texas!" screaming headlines. It's true that everything's big in Texas, including this pile of B.S. thrown at their governor that may be bigger than usual.

An indictment is serious business, and if found to be baseless it gives a big black eye to every watchdog group and every D.A.'s decision, so let's expose these thug tactics (Seriously did they use the term "thug tactics" before Barack Obama became our President?) for what they are: the corrupt power plays of an embarrassingly failed Democratic Party lacking integrity and honor.

Rick Perry and conscientious citizens will expose this on a national level in coming days, mark my words, because you don't mess with Texas nor do you poke the rest of us independent Americans fed up with hell rousers turning the bad guy into the hero while demonizing the good.

What's a "hell rouser?" Did she mean "hell raisers?"

Well look Palin finally got a ghostwritten article on another media outlet besides Facebook or her vanity blog site. And she only made half of it about her.

Good for her, and now instead of it getting completely ignored by the media it will be seen, and of course picked apart, by the media, which will allow Palin to once again play the victim.

A win/win in her book.

God, she's so stupid. She doesn't remember reimbursing the state for her kids' airfare, etc that she charged the state, which was an ethics violation? Funny, Alaska residents do, and we remember a lot more shit she did on our dime, including paying herself a $60.00/day per diem to stay at her home in Wasilla, away from Juneau, which is exactly where she wanted to be---away from work, the legislature, and any real responsibilities other than staged photo ops of bill signings and turkey slaughters.

I don't know who said it first here (someone from the lower 48 in the deep Deep South, if I recall), but I agree 100%--- "Sarah is about worthless." Amen.

Governor of the least populated state and she acts as though she was President of the entire world. Being mayor of tiny Wasilla was too much like work for her, she had to hire a city manager. At first reading of her post, it appears she's defending Rick Perry and relating to him. Then, she sort of disses him, with her: "Rick won't have to worry about the Republican establishment piling on, either. He's more ingratiated with the political machine than someone considered still an unknown who'd go rogue on GOP kingmakers when they acted unethically, so he's fortunate to only face a firing squad from one side."

More ingratiated with the political machine that her? Is Sarah suggesting Rick is a good old boy, with the GOP protecting his back, and he's in with the elite in Washington, while she's the heroine rogue who stands and fights against the left and the GOP machine?

She can't even defend a colleague without making it all about her.

Hello Sarah Palin: Your recent remarks (see above) regurgitate the same things you have said for years. These remarks may (or may not be) entirely factual, but they also may not be complete. In other words: Are you not telling us something important?

What was that meeting suddenly added to your schedule not long after you got back from Kosovo?

Have you forgotten to tell about something which helps explain why you and your family suddenly reworked your plans for the Fourth of July holiday? Your plans for the 4th had just been made (steaks in Juneau!), but your quitting speech just wouldn't have been the same if you had made it at the Governor's residence in Juneau.

Still waiting to hear what you have to say about that serious matter (you must have thought it was serious enough to report it as a security threat to the authorities) which had been allowed to fester before belatedly being referred to the Alaska Attorney General less than two weeks before July 3, 2009. According to the documents I have seen that matter directly involves you and some of your inner circle. That matter also involved very specific allegations of financial and political wrongdoing. Yes, THAT. Maybe you can post about that real soon. People really want to know why you suddenly decided to quit.

All these years you have blamed your quitting on so called bogus ethics complaints, so it might be embarrassing if there had been a real ethical screwup (and it might have been criminal) involving you and your inner circle.

Tic tock. Time is running out for you to get out in front of this issue. You know it will all come out when Dan Sullivan wins the primary.

Bankrupting her family, oh please, she spent more of the states money on "clearing her name" than she ever did her own money on ANY of the other various ethics complaints.

She's such a revisionist and outright liar.

Bunch of "he said, she said" but really how much faith can one put into a council of the Governor's cronies finding her innocent of abuse of power. Duh.

The chicken shit won't comment on Ferguson because she can't make it about her. What a freakin' self-centered idiot!

  27. Boscoe11:51 AM

You know, this really makes me wonder what's going on in the heads of the people who greenlight giving Palin a platform to spew from.

I mean, is it simply that Palin spew = X number of flies attracted to the stench? because if they actually READ what she "wrote", it's clear that really the whole thing was about HER and her personal war with "the left".

If there is any question about it, all you have to do is look at that line about Perry being "ingratiated with the political machine". In Palinese, that was her pissing in Perry's face as one of those "establishment republicans" that she's dedicated herself to replacing with tea-psychos.

So yeah. If they paid her to defend Perry, what they GOT was more of her pathetic self-victimization and a rant against "the left", with a little backstab to Perry on the side.

Geez, doesn't she realize how pathetic she sounds? To anyone but her most devoted fans? What a whiner. So, this can easily be summed up:
    1) I'm a victim and I've been furious (at everyone but myself) since the Couric interview
    2) Perry sucks, is a GOPE

Don't forget than when his name came up as a potential candidate in 2012, she immediately called up the image of him being in favor of crony capitalism. But then this was still when she was operating under the influence of believing that they would draft HER.

Why Rick Perry Will Be Convicted

....The PIU had been investigating the Cancer Research and Prevention Institute (CPRIT), a $3 billion dollar taxpayer funded project that awarded research and investment grants to startups targeting cancer cures. The entire scientific review team, including Nobel Laureate scientists, resigned because they said millions were handed out through political favoritism. Investigations by Texas newspapers indicated much of the money was ending up in projects proposed by campaign donors and supporters of Governor Perry. In fact, one of the executives of CPRIT was indicted in the PIU investigation for awarding an $11 million dollar grant to a company without the proposal undergoing any type of review.

Perry might have been the next target.

The same cronyism appeared to be at work in two other large taxpayer accounts called the Emerging Technology Fund (ETF), and the Texas Enterprise Fund, (TEF), which were supposed to be used to help technology startups and assist companies wanting to move to Texas. In total, the governor and his appointees had purview over about $19 billion and where they wanted it invested.

Why not make sure your contributors get some of that sweetness?

If Perry were able to get Lehmberg to resign, he'd have the authority to appoint her replacement. We can assume that would have been a Republican, and that any investigations might have stuttered to a halt.

Hey, Sarah, tell me again about that illegal legal defense fund John Coale set up for you so others would pay your legal bills. There is a law in Alaska that the governor cannot use his/her office to enrich himself/herself. And, letting people pay your way enriched you. Tell me again why you quit. Tell me again why you had to pay back those hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's not frivolous. That's breaking the law.

I think this is all about Sarah getting back on FOX News. She has not been on in awhile and I believe the contract she was given is up. So, this is the second so-called article that Sarah "wrote" that FOX published on its website in the last two weeks.

She hasn't been on O'Reilly since she said the Dutch should plug the dike. She hasn't been on Meagan Kelly since Meagan had to roll her eyes in disbelief at the ignorance she was hearing. It's been a long time since she was on Greta's show and Greta has been to Alaska and not shown any interest in having Sarah anywhere near her. She was on Hannity talking about impeachment, but then Hannity threw her under bus and said talking about impeachment was stupid (which of course it is).

So, with no friends left at FOX and no money coming in now that her contract seems to be up. what is poor Sarah to do? He PAC has run dry and her so-called Channel has virtually no subscribers. And Sarah has bills to pay.

She needs that quarter million that FOX paid her to continue this year.

My guess is that Sarah is going to have to start selling some of her properties. That is if she hasn't already borrowed against them in an effort to help her cash flow.

I would guess that Sarah is as broke as she is stupid and Girl needs a job. Hey Sarah, maybe you get one of those minimum wage jobs that you think are so great.

"Pro Bono" refers to legal or professional work performed for the common good. Sarah is neither a lawyer or a professional and has never performed any act for the common good. Sarah claimed she gave a pro bono (sonny & cher?) speech for a pro -life group? Well that'd be the Alaska Independence Party, a good reason for the ethics complaint!

For those that don't know - the Alaska Independence Party (AIP) is a group that Todd Palin had a paid membership in for seven years (came out during the McCain/Palin campaign and Sarah tried to lie about it - see or read "Game Change").

The group wanted Alaska to secede from the Union! And, sista Sarah, before quitting as gov, gave a speech before them as Gov of Alaska.

Great Americans, these Palins!! They are such friggin' frauds!

The 10th amendment being what it is, it is not for the other 49 States to say what is right for Alaska. Your laws, or lack therof where it concerns corruption by Government Officals is your business.
