I thought this might be a little good news start to our Labor Day.

Actually by the end of 2014 it is projected that the deficit will only represent 2.9% pf the GDP.

Gee imagine how much better it would be if the Republicans would lift a finger to help the President repair the economy.

    Thank you Mr. President.

The Rethugs need to be constantly reminded that Georgie W. put TWO wars on a 'credit card" and left the payments to Pres. Obama.

  3. Well, sure, it looks good on paper, but what about the RWNJ who asks how much better the financial situation would be now if we'd had a president who didn't hate America and didn't want to destroy America and was born in America and was raised in America and loved America like a REAL (rill) American? And was white like a REAL (rill) American!

Ya know, like, say, George W. Bush? or Good Ol' Gramps McCain? or Mitt "Mittens" Romney? or even - don't laugh - The Screechy Wretch(tm)?

Is it really so hard to imagine that if one of them had been president instead of Barack HUSSEIN Obama during the past 6 years, we'd all be millionaires and knee-deep in unicorns by now?

(assume for discussion purposes that being knee-deep in unicorns is actually a good thing...)

Please don't bring that up. Let there be a positive thread without bringing in negativity.

    Is this good news? yes.

Is it true it would have been better if the repubes had helped? Yes.

WILL they? NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!

Will they spin this? Hell yes. They will claim it isn't true or that the figures are wrong or interpreted wrong. Or they will claim it is partisan politics. Or....

Stop thinking negatively. The Repubs cannot downplay this.

Yeah, Su-u-ure they can't. Uh huh. And they didn't FORCE the GAO to rewire their report stating trickle down economics didn't work!

The repubes are stupid enough to try ANYTHING!

Or at least made so irrelevant that they can't be a barrier in our way. VOTE in November - and take a friend to the polls.

When it comes to the economy, the GOP is like an arsonist who blows up a building after cutting off all electricity and water in the neighborhood, putting cement barricades on all the surrounding roads, and slashing the tires on the firetrucks. Then he torches the lumberyard and steals all the contractor's vehicles and equipment.
Finally, he gets on all the news outlets and yells about how the mayor is incompetent because the building was destroyed and hasn't been rebuilt by the next day.

He's been extremely busy working to clean up after the Bush Dynasties Reign of Terror. He got Bin Laden, and Bush admitted he didn't care where he was. And so much more, including this tidbit of news you won't see on television.

Sometimes I wish President Obama would toot his own horn a lot more, especially the things he's accomplished with no help from the GOP. Guess what Bohner did on his vacation? He did a video with kids and a monkey toy playing cymbals! That had to add jobs to the economy, right?
