Radar Online interviews Eric Thompson about the brawl, his new found unemployment, and his fears of further retribution.

The spotlight continues to shine on the Anchorage brawl, but now it has sharpened to focus more on Thompson's plight and the famous Palin retribution that most of us up here are all too familiar with.

Here are some of the statements that Thompson provided to Radar Online:

“I’ve been in the industry my whole life and at the same time I didn’t expect to be discharged for telling the truth,” Thompson told Radar, insisting when he spoke about the fight, “I didn’t make any of that up.”

“It wasn’t me who went out and punched the homeowner,” Thompson claimed. “I watched and really it was more out of dismay. I thought, ‘What is going on?’ The person involved was getting punched in the face by Bristol.”

“The person she punched, this guy, took straight shots to the face one after the other, after the other, and never retaliated and was just a stand-up person. I admire him for being a gentleman. This is a woman and it doesn’t matter if she’s punching you in the face,” Thompson said.

On how many people spoke to the police:

When the dust settled, however, Thompson told police about the melee, and also spoke out to Good Morning America — but he insists he was just the one that reporters got to first.

“Originally, I was asked to give a statement to the police along with 10 other people,” he added. “[The alleged victim] didn’t want it misconstrued that he was assaulting her.”

On the fact that he got fired:

“There was never any communication between the owner, we were never asked to not say anything or gag order… I’m only guilty of having a little naivete of how the national press works,” he said.

Thompson understands there’s been an influx of unwanted attention, but says he’s not to blame – the Palins are!

“I was sober. I wasn’t in the fray. I wasn’t puking on the lawn or passing out. I didn’t cause any stir or commotion,” he said. “I didn’t do anything to tarnish the company’s image in any way shape or form.

Thompson thinks the Palins should apologize for their behavior:

“I’m sure they’ve got their political spin doctors,” he said. “What they should do is apologize to general public for their conduct. You’re the face of Alaska to people. I mean, come on!

“When you are a public figure, people are looking to you for leadership and to set an example,” he continued. “With privilege comes great responsibility.”

You know I'm liking this guy more and more all the time.

Thompson also said that he is using part of the Go Fund Me money to pay for security cameras:

“That’s how scared I am,” he added. “Some people out there are really big fans of the Palins. I regret that I was naïve in not knowing what was going to happen. But I don’t regret ever telling the truth!”

Well I can vouch for the fact that his fears are well founded.

I myself have a good security system, a police officer living across the street, and a dog that jumps at every sound, and I still get up and double check the doors and windows at night.

By the way I am glad that Thompson once again directed the spotlight back onto Bristol's flailing fists and away from Track's drunken ineffective brawl. I really do think that the Bristol story is the big one and that she is most likely the one to be charged with assault.

I have reached out to Officer Castro yet again this morning to see if that police report would be coming out today or tomorrow, and to remind her that there is national scrutiny on their response.

Her response is that the case is currently being reviewed by the Municipal Prosecutor's office and that it could take somewhat longer than previously determined.

I have recently heard some troubling information about Tripp not being adequately supervised during the party, and I would like to know just how long he ran around without being watched by family members, and if indeed other party goers had to care for him due to their negligence.

This is yet more information that could prove very helpful to the Johnstons.

Hey Gryph, I just rewatched the video of when Tripp says Fa**ot to bristol and willow because he couldn't go to the pool. The excuse bristol says as to why he can't go to the pool is "Because there is some drunk kids down there" but now it is okay to take him to a party with drunk adults and coked up uncle, grandma , grandpa and his mom?
Bristol is such an idiot, that kid should be removed from her immediately. If she was so scared of her stalker why didn't she punch him like she punched Korey the night before?

At another time, when she is confronted with how out of control her brat is, guess who she blames? Todd's friends in the hangar. It never occurs to her it is her responsibility, as a parent, to note if a grandparent and their friends are not the kind of people a child should be exposed to.

We know she is lying to put all the blame on Todd and buddies. The Palin women are some of the worst when it comes to language and violence.

      What happened to Peter Ferrera?

He was lucky Bristol wasn't doing the second amendment routine that Sunday after the brawl.

I will never forger what she did to Levi's face and how she made a memory and a joke of it for a very young Tripp Johnston.

The Palins always forget that there is so much video out there showing them doing or saying specific things. (Years of them!)

Later on they lie about something, people know they are lying and then they check prior videos and nail their asses. It's happened time and time again!

The Palins will NOT murder Mr. and Mrs. Thompson. There is too much out there as to the brawl that matches (as to stories). The Palins are guilty as to their actions at the brawl to include that of Todd, Sarah, Bristol and Track (don't know about Willow as yet).

The Palins are finally being discussed in a negative manner in the Alaska press! That is a godsend folks and a huge difference! They have lost control of the media that Sarah so hates!

We've got them on the run! They will be getting everything they deserve! I see it coming!

I think the 911 calls are public record available at some point after the charging decision is made.

My money is on either Toad or Screechy herself saying some very interesting things to the 911 operator.

Also too, news media and bloggers should be aware that additional records requests will be required to determine if the so very special former first family of Alaska has special contact numbers with the APD to call and request whatever they want whenever they want.

It struck me the home owner works for McKenna Bros too . He first thought of protecting himself from being falsely charged with assaulting Bristol. Thompson stood up for truth but it backfired when he was fired that what went down became public knoweledge.

It seems they expected this remain private or hush hush despite the Palin's brand of awesome first family of reality tv in politics.

I am loving this. Eric and Roberta Thompson are straight-forward people and come off very well in interviews. The more he talks about the intimidation tactics of the Palins, the less likely the thugs will be able to get away with anything.

Also, this event shows what a terrible job the Palins have done with their parenting. Lots of families have one wayward child who gets involved with drugs or other shady doings despite the parents' best efforts. But the Palins have three ne'er-do-well adult children. Heck of a job, Palins!

Not everyone may have noticed Tripp. Or they didn't notice him until the brawling started. Some witnesses have expressed concern for Tripp. Others were in the midst of other things.

The limo company and driver have a huge responsibility. I find it too strange they are barely mentioned.

It was the police responsibility to protect and serve. They failed everyone it appears.

Now the police failure is putting Tripp and others in further danger. I know if this was happening in other areas there would be lawsuits and inquest in regard to the police behaviors.

It appears they were in courts with the Palins to cover up crimes. Crimes that put a child in danger.

It does not speak well for the culture in that area of Alaska.

Ferguson Protesters Call Anew to Remove Prosecutor

There are no guarentees about prosecutors. He or she prosecutors could be in Todd's books or DNA stash or just corrupt and protecting the police.

Has the Municipal Prosecutor's office made any statements or press releases? That makes me very suspect. The APD cutting off speaking because of the old "investigating" ruse sounds like crap. APD and the prosecutor can have a postitive public exchange about an incident and keep the public informed daily or often without revealing pertinent investigation info.

As it is now the authorities leave the community in danger and threatened and wondering if they are failing to do the jobs they are paid to do.

It matters that the authorities also leave a 6 year old child in danger and without safety or recourse. In many places a child like Tripp would be appointed a guardian, when both parents (close relatives) abandon the child in a case like this.

Tripp was abandoned when Bristol was too out of it, drunk, drugged, brawling or hungover. If other adults failed to get it they also abandon him in their ways.

No one knows about the court settlement (except the participants). That is fine.

      Only Tripp matters with that.

The public can see if he is abandoned (including emotional, mental) it will be clear if anyone cares for his best interest or if he is abandoned in that way.

That would take the matter out of APD's hands and they could say to the Palins and others that a grand jury found reason to prosecute.

Or, as most of us have said: 10 witnesses is plenty enough to prosecute a case.

Exactly. Why isn't Bristol being charged with assault. I looked up Alaska law and nowhere in the law does it say "except when victim won't press charges". Of course, the victim won't press charges. He would lose his job and the Palins would be out for him too.

If she is not charged, then I guess the Palins do own the APD. Paying off the police is a federal crime. Is that was it going on here? They need to stand up to the Palins and then perhaps the average guy on the street won't be so afraid.

It's pretty pathetic when the whole State (with good reason) is afraid of these people. Kind of like the mafia here once was. But the mafia has lost much of its power and people are not intimidated by them anymore. This has to happen with the Palins. The prosecutors need to stand up and charge them just the way they would charge anyone else.

I am very glad to hear you have some good security G. I was worried for your safety too. Eric Thompson is very smart to install security because he isn't safe either.

It is public information. There are no details so no one is saying who is filed against, only speculation.

It is the job of the press and media to keep the public informed and report the details.

I am sure people can read: "Willow filed the restraining order on 9/8/2014 and Bristol filed hers on 9/15/2014"

I'm sure Levi and Sunny (and attorney) are on top of this already. Don't think he is an idiot, folks! He knows the Palins (Bristol especially) far better than any of us.

      Delete
    2. Anonymous10:09 AM

Agreed, he knows the Palins and Bristol far better than us and that's probably why it's taken until Tripp is this age to get any kind of custody. He has been far too patient, imo.

      Delete
    3. Anonymous10:13 AM

Levi should ask his lawyer to be present when he asks Tripp what happened at the party. The questions should be easy and not confrontational, such as:
Did you spend the whole time in the car or did you get to go to the party too?
If he said he was in the car the whole time: was he sleeping or awake? Did he hear or see anything? Awake? Did you have anything to play with? Was the driver there? What could you see from the car?

If he got to go to the party, I'd start out with easy stuff: did Tripp have anything to eat or drink? Was the food good? What kind of music were they playing? Did you get to dance to the music? Then lead into, Did you see your Mom at the party? What was she doing? Did she eat or drink anything? Did she dance? Could you see if she was talking to anyone?

Just coming out and asking, Did your mother hit anyone is not a good way to go. The idea is to get Tripp to describe the whole evening, maybe even staring with How cool was it to go in that big car? Had you ever been in one before? Where did you go first to celebrate Grandpa's birthday? Did you have cake? What did the other people have to eat and drink?

They claim that kids are more like to report child abuse, even if there isn't any, if the person doing the questioning asks the question the wrong way. Did they touch you in your privates is different from Did they touch you? where did they touch you? (The kid usually finds it easier to point it out on a doll).

Most parents would be doing something in the courts. Who wants to wait until their child is collateral damage in some gangster scenario?

If Sunny and Levi are slacking on Tripp, it is because Levi has been paid off in some way. They see no way out and they have to live the Palin lie and that Tripp will always be abuse living the lie.

If the stalker is in jail, how can he go within 100 feet, email or whatever? What is the rush?

Why is the media silent and not reporting on the status of Ferrero or any court contact the Palins have now (and media be specific with names, dates, when, where)?

The entire matter of the stalker is confusing. Especially since the Shawn Christy incident.

It seems the Palin pattern is a more important story than just one stalker with a media blackout.

Media blackout is also a RED FLAG.
I know they will say they are busy with the brawl.

Ferrero is missing if no media report since about the 10th of Sept.

Also missing is the very pertinent Humvee rental company and the chauffeur. Hasuffeur is MIA.

No one knows if the Humvee was being used for more private partying with alcohol, drugs or sex. Or there may have been fights and arguments in there. If Tripp was sleeping was it because someone gave him drugs to get rid of him?

The driver could have been a party animal and they asked for someone like that or a friend.

Maybe a grand jury will convene and they can drill the limo company and driver under oath to see how they were taking care of a 6 year old in that situation and what the party of drunk fighters (drugs and horny) did.

These things take time. If they lie to the first grand jury it will drag on.

I would like to know why the APD left a child in such serious danger and ignored him and his needs as they have demonstrated.

(It might have been easier to call what they do a spoof or an imitation or an impression). Sarah can't take one word of criticism or anything that puts her in a bad light. And unlike the Palins, we are not know nothings. I received my college degree with honors from the University of Montana in just three years. The other IMer's are some of the most intelligent people on the planet in my view. And of course, G, the Big IM, is a genius. Just saying.

This maybe the loophole, he wasn't at work. He was at a private party on is own time.

Also agree with 9:48 AM- intimidation. From the interview, it sounds like there were no prior reasons to have him fired. However that doesn't mean his bosses are "manufacturing" evidence.

She who would be queen only believes in freedom for herself. After all, she is Dog's chosen one. She will not hesitate to trample 'little people'. Her spawn and ex husband believe likewise. The entire Palin/Heath clan is nothing more than a gang of self-entitled thugs (Tripp and Trig excepted of course, but the future looks bleak for both).

We are concerned about a little boy; that is who we are 11:42. We don't think that little cutie should be raised in such a violent household. We do not want one hair on that poor boy's head to be harmed.

The only one doing any lying is Bristol, who if news articles are to be believed, has spent a lot of time on her back, if you know what I mean.

Our law enforcement has handled many brawls, some with 1000 in attendance, celebrity drunks, murders, you name it, child abuse, too.

They do not say what they are not to say about an ongoing investigation.

That does not stop the various agencies, DA and prosecutors office from press releases and keeping the public informed. They will answer questions, if they can't answer everything, they will answer what they can. The press asks most of the questions but also anyone else.

It is horrendous to see how the APD are treating the people of their city and state and the entire country.

I can't believe how it is fine with some people to shit on little Tripp and leave him in danger.

It may be that both of his families are from the same ilk and neither able to look after him as necessary.

9/26/14. We need to know what is going on. Photos are good.

Also I would like to know about his visitation. The worst of the worst have preachers and other caring people visits where I am. He may want to make a statement.

In time he may have a mental evaluation. Meanwhile, I hope someone is about to speak with him.

She cannot hold any position politically anymore, she would be soundly booed off except for a very few loonies. She has run the spectrum of reality shows which all failed miserably, she is toast. So, even though she is evil, how much power can she possibly hold over anyone?

She appointed several agency heads who are still in office under Parnell. They are her puppets. My husband works under one of them in a state agency. Even if I knew anything damaging about the P's, I would hesitate to say anything knowing that it could come back to hurt my husband and possibly even put his life in danger on the job.

Plus it is well known in Alaska that Todd ran a prostitution ring while Sarah was Gov.

(See the book "Boys will be Boys" by Shailey Tripp on Amazon. Also, notice the unusual last name matches the first name of Bristol's son.)

Todd probably has video of so many people who were then, or whom he figured would someday be in a place to help him.

Those videos won't disappear so the person is in the Palin pocket until they (the person) dies.

It's called The Palin Family Financial Security Plan.

This is great news that the custody is not settled. That way Bristol's violent behavior and her ability to be a good parent will be brought into question. Levi and Sunny seem to be the best choice for full custody and it is Bristol who should be getting visitation, and more importantly, it is Bristol who should be paying child support.

And if she has no income, Bristol will have to get a job for the first time in her life. Oh the horror of it all.

I suspect that the Palin lawyers have called every media outlet that might think about airing a video and threatened a lawsuit. I suspect they got a list of party guests from their friends, the McKenna brothers, and their lawyers have called every single person at the party and threatened a lawsuit if they talk or if they provide a video. They've called on the the Mckenna brothers to provide an example of the reach of Palin power, by firing the guy who did talk to the media. And now, those people who are thinking of going to the media are having second thoughts. The media outlets are doing what they can to soothe their fears. I also suspect that word is out that the Palins will pay double for whatever videos are out there, just to keep them quiet.

It's not that difficult to cover this up if you're willing to throw enough money at it. Those two boys were right -- they were going to get rich. They just didn't know it would be with Palin money. And I suspect we'll see a huge expenditure from SarahPAC for "video services" in her next filing.

Bristol Palin should be charged with assault. There is no justification for keeping this case dawdling along. Even if victim doesn't want to press charges, a crime was committed. If a wife is beaten by her husband and refuses to press charges, some states will prosecute the beater. It''s necessary, especially when there are children.

Domestic abuse is against the law and it affects children. This is no different than a mother bringing her child with her to a party and assaulting someone. She proves that she is a danger to her child. If she can't even control her anger in the midst of dozens of guests, imagine what she does when she's alone with Tripp.
