When Independents and Democrats join forces to oust you from your Senate seat that is when you get desperate. Even desperate enough to call Sarah Palin for help. Update!

"Oh god, what have I done?
This from The Wichita Eagle:

Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida and a possible 2016 presidential candidate, will come to Wichita on Sept. 29 to stump for U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts in a tight Senate race that has drawn national attention.

Bush, the son and brother of the former presidents, will join the three-term senator at a luncheon at Murfin Stables, 14525 E. 13th St. Cost for attendees ranges from $100 up to $2,600 for a seat at the head table, according to the invitation.

On Thursday, Roberts will be joined by a special guest at the Independence Historical Museum and Art Center in Independence, Kan. A source close to the campaign said that guest is Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska who served as running mate in 2008 for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Okay now I might understand calling in Jeb Bush, who despite his brother's abysmal presidency still for some reason retains a certain amount of gravitas with the Republican party, but Sarah Palin?

Yes Pat Roberts, and indeed the entire Republican party, is in a blind panic after Democratic challenger,Chad Taylor, dropped out of the race in order to give the more popular Independent candidate, Greg Orman, a better shot at beating Roberts, but isn't this kind of like trying to stop a migraine by putting a loaded gun to your head?

Just in case you are wondering if Roberts was flying Palin down, because we all know that she does not use her own money to travel, I would guess that her travel arrangements have already been made by Lifechoices Heath Network, who have invited her down to lie about her experiences as the mother of a child with Down syndrome.

Well if Palin has the effect on the Roberts campaign that she usually has on campaigns then he might just as well start packing his things and preparing to move out of his Senate office now.

Update: Speaking of Palin the National Enquirer has a new piece about the brawl, that quotes our old friend Geoffrey Dunn:

The former Alaska governor and ex-vice presidential candidate recently said in a TV interview that she wouldn’t rule out a 2016 presidential run, adding she’d “never say never” to an Oval Office bid.

But after the Sept. 6 melee at a house party in Anchorage, political analyst Geoffrey Dunn, author of the best-selling book “The Lies of Sarah Palin,” told The ENQUIRER the fight “only confirms the national
perception of Sarah as a trailer-trash diva!

“In my opinion, it shatters any pretense she has of running for president or any other high office.”

Though it is nice to see Geoffrey weighing in on this, I kind of think he is screwing with the Enquirer a little here.

I seem to remember that he and I discussed how unlikely it would be that Palin would ever seriously take a run at the White House even before Joe's book came out. And afterward we both agreed that she was done politically.

So I imagine that the Enquirer called up to ask Geoffrey's opinion on how this would affect her chances and he simply played along.

Palin's name came up again in an article discussing the firing of Eric Thompson over at the Daily Mail.

It is essentially all the same stuff we have been discussing here for two weeks now, but again it is nice to see that the media is still paying attention to this story.

Johnny Mac will be endorsing Roberts a couple of miles from my house this afternoon. It's bad enough just having Palin rearing her head in our airspace.

Orman seems to have a good chance of defeating Roberts. But I think that Orman is probably Romney Lite. Very rich investment guy. The race has a good back story with the Sec of State Kobach playing politics when the Dem dropped out of the race to evidently give Orman a better chance of getting Roberts out. Roberts really doesn't even live in Kansas and I can't think of any thing he has done over the years to benefit the State. It was the same with Dole...the dole went elsewhere.

Years ago I read "Senator For Sale" written by a former aide to Dole. What a bastard he is. (Dole) He read all the voter registration files, to find out who voted against him, and he made them pay. One man was jailed on fake charges, then his paperwork kept getting "misplaced" Dole is one mean man. He set the tone for a lot of others to follow, DeLay said Dole was his idol.

No wonder health insurance pays for it, they had help from the senate.

How can a politician read registration files and determine for whom they voted? That doesn't necessarily indicate the vote they cast. Unless the laws are different in Kansas from the state in which I live?

The Koch brothers are coming home, as one of their political advocacy groups launches a new TV ad against independent Kansas Senate candidate Greg Orman.

Freedom Partners Action Fund -- which, as Politico reported, is a new super PAC in the conservative titans' political network that plans to spend $15 million during the midterm campaigns -- is going up with the TV ad. The group told the Associated Press that it was spending "six figures" on the spot.

Koch Industries, the corporation that has helped make the brothers billionaires, is based in Wichita.

I think too much is being made of her not wearing a wedding band. The NE spin is absurd or over the line making up juicy gossip.

Track started the beer brawl on his beer crawl in a rented stretch hummer. How grotesque can the Palins be? Ostentatious braggarts, all of 'em, any of 'em.

That man is seriously messed up. He treats women as sex objects. Did he learn this from Todd? Has he grown up around prostitutes? Does he, like his sisters, have potential to work in the stable?

Did Bristol really have her first child at 14? Was Willow pregnant while institutionalized in NY?

Where are the children? How much do babies go for on the black market?

Track hasn't grown up around any women that he could possibly respect -- certainly not his mother or his sisters so it's no surprise that he shows no respect for women. I have always wondered where the kids were when Sarah was having her 6 month affair with Brad Hansen, Todd's snowmachine business partner? Does anyone really (rilly) think that teens are clueless when Mommy or Daddy is having an affair? No fights in the house between Todd and Sarah about Hansen that the kids could overhear? Fat chance of that.

Were it not for our horse-race motivated corporate media and the cowards in the AK legislature, Troopergate would have/should have ended Palin's public career. It highlighted her abuse of power and the ease with which she'll lie to destroy others. She took an ill-advised but harmless tasering incident--Wooten humoring his son's desire to impress cousin Bristol-- and spun it to sound like brutal child abuse. And, for the most part, the media let her.

Mike Wooten, Walt Monegan......Palin should have been impeached. Add to that her treatment of Lyda Green and Jay Ramras and the media should have spit in her face rather than treat her as a viable politician. And Robert Barnett's [Williams & Connolly] daughter should be ashamed of her father's choice of clients.

While Bush will be campaigning at a luncheon, Palin will be at a pancake breakfast ----

    TOPEKA, Kan.

Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is coming to Kansas to stump for Sen. Pat Roberts' re-election campaign.

A person familiar with the Roberts campaign told The Associated Press that Palin will be at a pancake breakfast in Independence on Thursday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to release the information publicly.

Palin's appearance is part of a week of events featuring Republican heavyweights. Roberts is locked in a competitive race with independent candidate and Olathe businessman Greg Orman.

Former GOP presidential nominee Bob Dole was stumping Monday and Tuesday for Roberts. Arizona Sen. John McCain had an event Wednesday in Overland Park, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is expected to be in Wichita on Monday.

    http://www.kansas.com/news/politics-government/election/article2214019.html#storylink=cpy

It wouldn't surprise me that Palin actually reached out to Roberts and he gave her the pancake breakfast to keep her off the stage with Bush.

On another note, I lose a little respect for any author who employs the phrase "trailer trash", (or "white trash"). Just because there are despicable people living in both mansions and hovels, that's no reason to use class to vilify the whole neighborhood.

Maybe Sarah's aide begged Roberts' campaigners to let her help out. I believe these RINO's have a certain obligation to be respectful to John McCain and Bob Dole and the old guard and they are bound to accept her offer. Because of McCain, Sarah had to be indulged, otherwise it would look bad for the McCain/Palin relationship and he will never admit he made a huge mistake. , And we know she's not interested in the politics, but that she gets her face in the news. The Roberts campaign have to help their buddy McCain keep up that illusion, that Sarah/John are always in sync..

It's kind of funny, really. They all deserve themselves.

McCain has this ball and chain, called Sarah, around his neck forever. She sticks like glue, and when he tries to shaker her off, she ingratiates herself onto his Senator buddies. It's like she is rubbing salt in her relationship with McCain, as she imposes herself in his affairs.

skin ,ugly shoes and her tongue sticking out should be sent to
the National Inquirer for their archives. I really, truly do not know how to do this , or I would try. I am doing good just
to know how to email. I am learning though. I refuse to have
    the lazy, Palin syndrome.
