Arkansas Attorney General candidate proves there really IS voter fraud in this country. She knows because she is the one committing it.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

Arkansas Attorney General candidate Leslie Rutledge is crying foul over the cancellation of her voter registration form. Rutledge, the Republican nominee for Attorney General, was kicked off the voter rolls after it was discovered that she failed to cancel previous voter registrations in Washington, DC and Virginia, and re-register in Pulaski County when she moved. Pulaski County Clerk Larry Crane, a Democrat, said he was legally obligated to remove her after receiving a letter flagging this issue. Rutledge and Republican groups are calling the removal a “dirty trick” that was politically motivated.

But what happened to Rutledge is in fact very common, and becoming even more common after the state implemented a number of strict voter restrictions, including a controversial voter ID law being litigated in court Thursday.

Do you know what is my favorite part of this story?

That it was the Arkansas Republicans who pushed for the stricter voting regulations, which ensured the increased scrutiny of Rutledge's voting history.

Oh wait, that's not my favorite part of the story, this is:

Actually this voter fraud story broke several days ago but that did not stop Dora the Endorser from putting her seal of approval on Rutledge anyway.

I mean why vet a candidate before backing them? If the McCain campaign had done that Sarah Palin would be all but forgotten by now.

Well I'll be. New voter registration laws affecting white people. Have to change that, and right away. Maybe they could come up with some gerrymandering, ie the voter suppression applies only in "certain" parts of the state.

Can Ms Palin still vote in Alaska, if she doesn't qualify for PFD anymore?

I'm enjoying the bittersweet self-incriminating subtlety of the fact that instead of proudly announcing this as an example of how their voter policies actually work (you know, like someone who enacted them out of deeply held principle would do), instead they whine and cry foul and blame it on the mean Democrats because it got applied to THEM.

Yet another example of why I cannot ever vote for a "conservative". They do nothing but lie about their real motivations and blame everyone else when they get caught doing unethical things, and the way they wear their arrogant ignorance on their sleeve like a badge of courage? No, I'm not voting for anyone aligned with people who think they can out think scientists armed only with the Bible and their gutsy-feely horse-sense. Fuck that stupidity.

Here are what some of the idiots write:

Myrton Woolen I hope Arkansas or Arizona get my vote; so know I have two to choose from;shirley this is something to secrure the border with tx wont close it and has far as neveda not sure about him remember his reid dirty harry ried ;and if this arizone man stands with governor than he will do his part of closing the border

(No, you do not have a choice between voting in either Arizona or Arkansas unless you are the AG nominee in Arkansas or Sarah Palin).

Larry Cope I tride to defend you three times and some how got throne out We Still Love you for you and what you stand fore God bless Sarah and never never give up

Dawna Sharp I know nothing about politics but finally registered to vote for the first time. I live in NC but with the election that is coming up in November I am clueless on who to vote for. Any suggestions? You can PM me.

Mark Backman I support you Sarah Palin but as an Arizonan, I have to respectfully disagree and urge individuals to support Felecia Rotellini for Attorney General.

Yes, Ann Coulter voted in two different states: Connecticut and Palm Beach, Florida. Like the Arkansas AG candidate, Ann is also a lawyer and obviously 'knew better', but like all GOPsters, believed that the law did not apply to her.

The jury is still out with respect to whether Ann, who used to date Dinesh D'Souza (and Bill Maher, who is gay), is a man or a woman.

The Arkansas Times writes about SP endorsing Rutledge and the comments are funny, as they don't like Sarah butting in.

Also, under that article is another link to Max Branley (Arkansas TImes) entitled, "What is Leslie Hiding?". It writes, "Leslie Rutledge, the Repblican nominee for attorney general, is stonewalling attempts to understand why supervisors said should she not be rehired after abruptly resigning as a juvenile court lawyer for the Department of Human Services, effective December 3, 2007. A supervisor, in a note added to her file 10 days after she left, stated the reason was <>"

Interesting to note in this article that 2 of the three cases she supposedly mishandled had to do with adoption cases.

In NY, there is a book at your designated polling place with a sample of your signature from when you registered. You have to sign again (with the original covered up) and the election volunteers match the signatures.

I think the only time I may have been asked for an ID was the year I sprained my writing hand and my signatures didn't match.

That's kind of strange to be endorsing at that level in other states, like pin the tail on the donkey, throw that dart out there and endorse without even knowing if one of the candidates is a registered voter where she is running. Did she announce some monetary support too?

What is your take on Palin's endorsement of Joe Miller? Was it just to snub the "establishment" candidate, Dan Sullivan?

Someone else mentioned that Dan, himself, got the boot from Palins because he was attorney general and couldn't / wouldn't turn a blind eye toward her misconduct. Which that someone said led directly to her 4th of July Weekend hasty out-the-door with the quacking ducks on the dead lake.

      Got any ideas?
