Scott Walker defends his draconian anti-choice legislation in Wisconsin by defining it as protecting a woman's safety and providing her with MORE options. Seriously?

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

In the ad, Walker, talking straight into the camera, starts off by saying, "I'm pro-life." He then defends the bill he signed in 2013 that required women seeking abortions to first obtain an ultrasound and that required abortion providers to possess admitting rights at a hospital within 30 miles of their clinic. This law—which remains tangled in legal challenges—could greatly restrict abortion access in Wisconsin. But in the ad, Walker characterizes the legislation as a measure "to increase safety and to provide more information for a woman considering her options." Then comes the whopper: "The bill leaves the final decision to a woman and her doctor." With that statement, a viewer could easily conclude that Walker is personally opposed to abortion but supports the right of a woman to decide (in consultation with a doctor) to choose an abortion.

But Walker is as hard-core on abortion as a conservative anti-choice politician can be. In 2010, he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editorial board that he wants to ban abortion entirely—no exceptions for rape or incest.

Here's that exchange:

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: You oppose abortion even in cases of rape and incest.

Scott Walker: (Nods)

MJS: Tell me if I got that right.

SW: That's correct.

I will tell you this, Walker may be one of the smoothest Right Wing lunatics in the 2014 race, but that in NO way means he is any less radical or wing nutty.

I would hope that any woman in Wisconsin who saw that ad would do a spit take, and then make sure their calendar was free to go vote against this slime ball in November.

"Protect the health and safety of all Wisconsin citizens," give me a break!

    OT,
as i mentioned in a thread the other day about Anchorage police dept. donation drives, well, it just happened moments ago.
They called asking for money to support the Harlem Globetrotter's upcoming local appearance. I told the cop solicitor in no uncertain terms that APD will never get another dime from me until they quit covering for the palin/heath crime family/syndicate.

Funny thing was the cop solicitor totally agreed with me but did go on to say that the donations were to support the volunteers for the upcoming event.
I told him sorry that did not matter to me, that anything connected to APD about donations weren't going to be generated by me and would stay that way until they quit covering up obvious crimes by the palin's - that would minimally get you or i at least a citation if not flat-out thrown in the hoosegow.

Now hopefully they start to hear the same from other locals ..

and a big fuk you to bristol, lou sarah, and chuck_tard jr -

    it'd suk to be a palin/heath

Great. The more the better. APD must start working for the people and protecting them. Not just the Palins.

How is that poor alleged stalker doing where ever he is now? I hope the media will check on him.

Yes as to FAS. Considering that Walker himself is an alcoholic (as are Rove, GW Bush, Rand Paul, Boehner, and perhaps Paul Ryan, and countless other GOPsters, I wouldn't doubt that Walker's parents were also on the sauce.

Maybe after four years they'll get rid of him.

    2. For real. I know he cheated on the recall too. As if a crook would be less crooked the second time around. Esp. with the help of that known fat fraud bitch who was allowed to count the votes again.

Too many funny things that went on during ALL their past elections.

I knew he was a stupid twat, but THIS????

Phil Robertson: You Can’t Get STD’s From Biblically Correct Sex

“Biblically correct sex is safe,” Robertson said during a sermon in West Monroe, Louisiana last month. “It’s safe. You’re not going to get chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, AIDS — if you, if a man marries a woman, and neither of you have it, and you keep your sex between the two of you, you’re not going to get ever sexually transmitted diseases.”

  6. Well, technically, he is not claiming that the law gives a woman more options. He says it gives her more information while considering her options.

Because when faced with an unplanned pregnancy, of course women are not capable of gathering all the information they need to make their decision as to how to deal with the pregnancy. They just show up at Planned parenthood demanding an abortion without learning anything about pregnancy or birth or parenting, right?

What a good thing Walker's law is there to stop them from the consequences of making decisions with nothing but their tiny little woman brains, right?

I have just one thing to say when a politician is SO anti-choice-- if a woman is forced to have a child because abortion is unavailable AND the child later realizes they are gay, Walker will certainly be supportive, RIGHT??

  8. Hopefully his state vetted the idiot and got a copy of his high school diploma. A governor with a high school diploma. A crook with no ambitions.

  11. Boy, he'd fit right in in Saudi Arabia where they protect women to death.

What next, Scotty? Going to forbid women from driving cars because they might get in an accident? (Because we all know how bad women drivers are, right? Especially at that time of the month?)
