As you watch the segment you can see that neither Hayes, nor Young's opponent Forrest Dunbar, take any of this very seriously, but MSNBC also includes a kind of "best of Don Young" portion as well which as we Alaskans know all too well is anything but good for the Congressman.
Now I am hoping that this inspires other news outlets to really go after Young on this issue.
Because don't forget folks we really only have three choices here.
- Either Don Young is a senile old coot who just says crazy shit.
- Don Young is a habitual liar who says crazy shit.
- Or Don Young is a murderer, who does crazy shit.
And NONE of those are good for Don Young.
However getting him to admit any one of them IS good for Alaska.
This is good...very good.
ReplyDeleteNow Chris Hayes can expand his AK political reporting to include the AKNG scandal and the related malfeasance on the part of Sean Parnell and AG Sullivan.
Information needs to be sent to him and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC regarding all of this information.
DeleteThis idiots need to be taken to task nationally!
Vote them all out of office, Alaskans! Get everyone you can to the polls that think like you do! Republicans have controlled the State of Alaska far too long!
It is so obvious that Don Young feels entitled! He's been in D.C. waaaaay too long and needs to be replaced in November.
ReplyDeleteVote him OUT, Alaskans! It's your duty!
Don Young has Ebola ...that is why the man that touched him died.
ReplyDeleteBwahahahahahaha!

ReplyDeleteAs a former reporter for a national magazine, I can verify what you probably already know: the Throwdown at the Hoedown, the AKNG, and now Don Young have brought the spotlight to Alaska, which otherwise would be ignored. Now there may be a feeding frenzy by the press to find out what the heck is going on up there in the 49th/50th state.
Each crazy story -- the Palins proven to be drunken hillbillies, the coverup of sexual misconduct by two governors and a former AG running for Senator, and now unhinged Don Young -- makes Alaska look like ripe pickings for some juicy stories. In the background is the spectra of Ted Stevens, whose misdeeds were really misdeeds, or ??? No one will really remember, other than that Alaska seems to be a petrie dish for corruption.
It ain't the librul media, Sarah. It's just the media, hungry for stories, looking for news, and the debauched Palins, the corrupt administration, and the old and nutty Representative are all great stories. Together, they just shout out for more coverage.
Clearly, the powers that be up there in Alaska thought they could just take Federal money and then give each other sweetheart contracts, and all their other monkey business, and the East Coast press was too far away to pay attention. That may no longer be the case.
Sarah, if you were smart -- pause to think about this -- you wouldn't rise to the bait. But I'll bet you can't resist.
Nationally, Alaska's voters look like totally 'uninformed hicks' when reviewing what they have put in top positions during the past years.
DeleteThe elected officials include: Ted Stevens, Frank Murkowski, Don Young, Lisa Murkowski, Sarah Palin, Sean Parnell as well as some Republicans currently holding seats in the Alaska Legislature!
Year after year - corruption upon corruption! Nothing has changed from one term to the next!
This November election is very important to Alaskans who need to cast their votes very carefully and thoughtfully.
This is the Don Young who, in 2008, was polling 8 points down and won by 8 points, am I right? I seem to remember questions about fraud at the time.
DeleteHAPPY ALASKA DAY!!
ReplyDeleteI hope all you fine citizens of our great 49th state have a wonderful day.
wait...Sarah called it our 50th state...or was she praising Hawaii? HooHaa!
DeleteEither way he's a crazy shit.
ReplyDeleteQuestions aside, I think we can all agree on their common denominator: Don Young is shit.
ReplyDeleteMade a donation to Forrest Dunbar the other day. You should too! The only way to get rid of Don is to vote him out and we all need to get involved in that. Vote for Dunbar.
ReplyDeleteI already did - via Absentee Ballot and it felt wonderful! Hope others do the same thing! Don Young needs to go!!!!
DeleteDoesn't matter if he never killed anyone. If the man says stuff like this, he should not represent anyone. People like this, who show no boundaries in their hubris and ego and who say such things, even out of anger, don't deserve to be in the position they're in.
ReplyDeleteThere are many younger replacements out there, who have integrity and still care about civility towards others. This guy is expendable. He'd better explain himself.
My feelings exactly. No one with a violent, volatile, angry personality like Young's should be placed in positions of national power.
DeleteIt doesn't just hurt the people of Alaska who, for whatever reason, keep voting him into office. As a member of the US Congress, his behavior and actions also affect every other citizen of this country.
He needs to be removed from office for the sake of all Americans.
Another sort of Alaskan murder in the works...
ReplyDeleteNavy War Games in Alaska Would Impact Thousands of Marine Mammals
...The extremely loud underwater noise from active sonar and ship sinking explosions will propagate for hundreds of miles through the offshore ecosystem, and have "the potential to disturb, injure, or kill marine mammals." The area proposed for these war games - the northern Gulf of Alaska - is one of the most productive regions anywhere in the world ocean. Marine mammals in the area include Blue, Fin, Sei, Minke, Sperm, Killer, Right, Gray, and Humpback whales, three species of beaked whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, harbor porpoise, Dall's porpoise, sea lions, fur seals, elephant seals, harbor seals, ribbon seals, and sea otters. Active sonar exercises have been implicated in mass strandings of certain whale species elsewhere.

Suppose there is nothing that can be done to stop the Navy War Games and move them somewhere else? How awful for the marine mammals! Guess it would be just as terrible no matter where they played the games?
DeleteO/T: If Sarah Palin were president, Americans would have CDC prayer teams unleashing powerful prayers at Ebola quarantine sites, near instantly curing the afflicted of their terrible diseases and other ailments too.
ReplyDeletehttp://bigamericannews.com/2014/10/16/the-right-mix-of-prayer-and-holy-water-can-cure-ebola/
The scary thing is that I had to look at some of the headlines to the right of the article to figure out if this was satire or for real!
DeleteThis from an ADN article in June re: Don Young: ... Arthur Miller in "Death of a Salesman" about Willy Loman: “He's not to be allowed to fall in his grave like an old dog. Attention, attention must finally be paid to such a person.”
ReplyDeletehttp://www.adn.com/article/20140620/dermot-cole-don-youngs-failure-pay-attention-embarrasses-alaska
Love, from Georgia, USA
That's Don Young. His body ages but the narcissistic child inside is immutable. He is quite full of himself. He found a tax payer paid for position with great healthcare and retirement where he can act out his bullying childish ways. Folks who voted for this clown aren't paying attention ... at all.
DeletePoliticians need to realize words matter, glad he's getting the attention he deserves, even happier that the brawl and party crashing Family are STILL in the news.
ReplyDeleteOT Meghan McCain talks to Howard Stern about Sarah Palin , compares her to Jesus Christ saying "IF Daddy had Jesus Christ, he'd have lost the election" Did I mention I'm my daddy's daughter?"
