Okay I'm sorry but Sarah Palin is DEFINITELY trying to sabotage the Bill Walker/Byron Mallott campaign.

I early made the case, in a somewhat tongue in cheek manner, that Palin had now realized that her endorsements were the kiss of death and THAT was why she was endorsing Bill Walker instead of her former Lt. Governor Sean Parnell.

Yes there are various reasons why she is no longer seeing eye to eye with Parnell, but to endorse his opponent is a rather huge step guaranteed to gin up controversy, and to ultimately help the Parnell campaign. (NOBODY dislikes this woman more than we do.)

However yesterday I think Palin removed any doubt, at least in my eyes, that she is working against Bill Walker and not for him.

Here is her Facebook post from yesterday:

Alaska Wins With Independence;

Stepping Aside for the Greater Good Our family is proud to support Bill Walker to lead Alaska! Bill Walker, Byron Mallott, and their families joined with ours and other Alaskans in Todd’s airplane hangar this week in a show of true Alaskan support, complete with a potlatch brimming with salmon, moose, and caribou hors d’oeuvres. Life-long Alaskans Bill and Byron have proven that they truly have our state’s heart and believe in putting Alaska first and ignoring status quo politics that get in the way of Alaska’s destiny. This is refreshing and productive, and Alaska wins when Team Walker wins! This unity ticket came about when winners of their respective primary races selflessly stepped aside for the sake of Alaska! This is rarely done in politics and proves that this strong independent ticket represents an Alaskan-sized heart, putting people over party machine politics and Alaskans over egos. (Now remember Walker is a former Republican, now running as an Independent. And Mallott is the Democrat who won his party's nomination. Neither one of these are the uber-conservative tea party types that Palin typically aligns herself with.)

Bill’s blue collar history and professional experience in practicing law fit perfectly with policies to move our state forward by developing our abundant natural resources. He and Byron are proven fiscal conservatives who know state government’s recent practice of deficit spending will halt development and make us dependent on a dysfunctional federal government. (While Walker/Mallot are in favor of protecting Alaska's sovereignty (All Alaskan politicians have to say that.) They are not anti-government types and have no problem working with the federal government. In fact once elected Walker intends to allow the Obamacare Medicaid expansion that Parnell adamantly fought against.)

The Last Frontier’s destiny as the nation’s leader in energy development, which will lead to Alaskan independence while helping secure our union, can only be fulfilled with decisive leadership that puts our residents first. The ability to move us forward by empowering a thriving private sector takes unifying action. Too many long-awaited projects and challenges – like the National Guard scandal – are made worse because of indecisive leadership, and that’s debilitating. We can’t afford to put development on the back burner while other states and nations surpass our opportunities, and we can’t sweep ethics problems under the table. (Okay now using the National Guard scandal against Parnell is perfectly reasonable for Walker, but it freaking started under the Palin administration. SHE was the one to first turn a blind eye. As a matter of fact there is a new political ad featuring Parnell's wife that makes that case.)

Unfortunately, in desperation to halt Team Walker’s momentum, lies are running rampant. Sadly, one such lie is about their faith. Don’t believe the million dollar Outside money ads perpetuating misrepresentations; just ask the guys themselves where they stand. For example, on the issue of respecting a culture of life, a pro-family group is grossly misrepresenting Bill’s position. He is unapologetically pro-life. Groups, individuals, and incumbent politicians telling you otherwise are untruthful, and that says everything about their character. Shame on people who know better and are in positions to counter lies but turn a blind eye instead. This kind of politics of personal destruction is why our country is hurting; adding to the pain are attempts here in Alaska to destroy a good man. Participants in this do not deserve your support. (Bringing up the fact that Walker is pro-life is NOT going to do him any favors with the Democrats and Independents he needs to win this election, and that is why it is not mentioned on his site. By bringing this up now all Palin is doing is making those who are firmly on Walker's side reevaluate their decision. And it will certainly NOT bring one Parnell voter over to Walker's side and she knows it!)

I’m proud of the ethics reform my administration ushered in, and I know Bill and Byron will re-start and build on that with an independent spirit beholden only to the people of Alaska, not to any political party. Nothing’s been handed to these guys. They’ve worked alongside us all over the state in true Alaskan spirit and know the value of a good job. They want that for every Alaskan family! So our diverse family, enjoying years of connections with both candidates, take a stand for Bill and Byron’s unity team. It’s time to get our state back on track to fiscal discipline so we can grow with the surplus Alaska had enjoyed under my administration. (See? She is essentially saying that Walker and Mallott will continue the work started by HER administration. She might as well have hired a contract killer and put a hit out on them instead. Same result.)

Please support Walker/Mallott on November 4th. Alaska First! It’s time.

- Sarah Palin

And there you have it.

There is NO way that Palin does not know what this will do to Bill Walker and his campaign.

By the way if she is so gung-ho about giving out endorsements in Alaska, then where is Dan Sullivan's?

No, she knows exactly what she is doing.

I think it's more than that. You left out all the slights, both imagined and real that, require retribution and revenge of all kinds. Remember Lyda Green's interview on Rachael Maddow?

Paraphrasing but Palin turned every policy difference into a personality conflict. She and hers wanted to directly influence the editors of at least one of the local radio talk show hosts when she was governor. It's in the emails.

Would you be surprised if it was this one? Would you be surprised if this was the only one?

Did Fester or whatever his name is think up that attack on Lyda Green all by himself? Or did he have some help from the Governor and her kitchen kabinet klan?

This is what people read in the ADN after the weak press release issued to excuse Palin's chuckling participation in the verbal attack on Lyda Green.

"The governor's appearance on KWHL's "The Bob and Mark Show" last week is plain and simple one of the most unprofessional, childish and inexcusable performances I've ever seen from a politician.

Anchorage DJ Bob Lester unleashed a vicious, mean-spirited, poisonous attack on Senate President Lyda Green last week while our governor was live on the air with him.

When we played the tape on my show the day after it happened, we received 130 calls. Even some Palinbots were disgusted.

The Daily News posted the recording on its Web site and it fired up bloggers.

The Fairbanks Daily News-Miner editorial writers demanded the governor apologize. The Juneau and Ketchikan papers also ran the editorial.

The Daily News opinion page addressed the governor's gaffe. They wrote "She came off looking immature herself, almost high-schoolish. It was conduct unbecoming a governor."

It was conduct unbecoming a human being, never mind a governor.

The governor's office eventually tried to spin the public relations disaster, releasing a statement reading, "Governor Palin was caught off guard by Bob Lester's reference to Senate President Lyda Green."

I don't buy it. Early on in the conversation before Palin started to crack up, Lester referred to Sen. Green as a jealous woman and a cancer. Palin, who knows full well Lyda Green is a cancer survivor, didn't do what any decent person would do, say, "Bob, that's going too far."

A few interesting emails on going after Don Fagan and his editor.

Note there are a number of redactions in these emails. Maybe "gouge his eyes out" and "drawn hung and quartered" are considered to be deliberative and legislative process related?

Gryphen, I've said it before, and will say it again, Sarah Palin is the Broadway Rose of politics. Broadway Rose (active in the last century) was a wretched, smelly, ragged woman who would accost people in the theater district of New York, greeting a mark with a loud exclamation that somebody famous (say, Jack Benny) asked her to give them a kiss. Being approached by this repellent creature always got her $5 or $10 to stay away. If SP is the kiss of death for anyone she promotes, this might be a new source of revenue for her.

Okay, in all of that Palin word goulash up top, she keeps referring to Alaskan independence. For example: "The Last Frontier’s destiny as the nation’s leader in energy development, which will lead to Alaskan independence while helping secure our union, can only be fulfilled with decisive leadership that puts our residents first."

What exactly does that mean to you Alaskans?

Elsewhere, she talks about the state budget and not being dependent on what she thinks is a dysfunctional federal government. But in the quote in the first paragraph of my comment, is she blowing a dog whistle for the AIP?
Alaska either is one of fifty states in the Union, or it wants to be its own separate realm? Right now, North Dakota is on the edge of energy innovation, and other states are looking at new technologies. The oil boom in Alaska had to start petering out after a while, leaving thoughtful Alaskans to consider what is the state's next economic engine....or engines.
Or does Sarah seriously want to achieve Todd's dream of secession from the Union?

Theresa is in AK so is eligible to vote on this, and has been trying to engage others to help her get her pea brain around this. It really shows how the conservative brain works. They either follow blindly whatever their Ester says, even against their own better judgement, and/or they ignorantly entice others to to follow.

but I am wondering about something ...a prediction about a woman who brings the Left, the Right and those of the New party together...a woman of faith with big, round, beautiful eyes..an Esther.
Who knows what can happen out of this. Maybe it's time to follow Sarah's lead and not just reject Democrats.

Look, this is the only thing she's got left. Nearly all of her endorsements failed this cycle. This is basically an endorsement of Joe Miller, with all the word salad. If these 2 candidates do win, it will be good for Alaska, but her endorsement is only meant for her brand. Anything that can deflect from the lurid brawl, that's what she's working on. I think Alaskans are smart enough not to bite off their noses to spite their faces just to oppose anything that Palin seems to want. Let her have her crowing that SHE got them elected, but that won't affect anything they do in office. The only thing a big foggy for me is.....who is the constituency that she will bring into the fold? Are wingers that mad about lowering the oil taxes?

Do you mean, they only promised her immunity, when what she demanded was money? Or when what she demanded was to be omitted from mention that all this started during her administration? Which it did. And, by the way, even if the State of Alaska promised her immunity, that would be meaningless in any future federal criminal investigation of this. In terms of any potential criminal investigation, the Alaskan National Guard scandal is far from over: it has barely begun to catch the eyes of the authorities. These prosecutions take a long time, many years (isn't Dairy-gate/Creamery-gate still under investigation?). Sarah won't be in the free-and-clear from this for a long long time (assuming that the facts can tie her and/or Todd to any of the evil-doers involved. At present, no one knows where this investigation will lead.

The contestant has fifteen seconds to answer correctly or Sarah Palin bitch slaps her off the stage and out the stage door into a parking lot covered with snow. She is a snake in the grass, but it will backfire on HER.

First, each candidate, can speak for themselves; what are they saying on the campaign trail? Can't they express themselves and tell voters where they stand. Palin, again, the snake, inserts the subject of 'faith' in there, to shame pro-life values voters they must serve their religious consciences, and not yield to a liberal anti-god agenda.

It won't work, though. If Parnell, the self-professed christian, did not do his duty to defend victims of harassment, rape and turn his cold shoulder to them, he is no christian. People aren't stupid, they know she, half-term governor, who quit, who campaigned on her honorable 'faith' record, broke her 'faith' promise to her 'faith' electorate and pursued fame and fortune.

Nothing she writes or says or does influences anyone. What Sarah Palin doesn't understand, neither her dysfunctional family, is that she has no power to manipulate people any more. That power is gone. She's lost her magic, her dominance, her every manipulative plot, has no life. She of course, cannot see this, because evidently, she is delusional. Don't be surprised that she would claim that she is a reincarnated Cleopatra, or in her case, a reincarnated Queen Esther. In her mind, she is and thus, she acts out as though she is. Nothing she says is consistent. It's unfortunate, sad and pathetic. But, anything she says, anyone she tries to control, must know she is near a total mental spiritual break-down.

I would like to say, the fabric in Bristol's camp thong dress is extremely cheap: you can tear this kind of fabric with a fingernail or catch it on some other surface (causing a run or tear) with hardly any effort whatsoever – it's similar to the nylon in ladies' nylon stockings. Thus, it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for Bristol to have been dragged on her back without causing, at the very least, runs, or, almost equally likely, tears in the back of the dress as a result. There is a police photo showing the back of Bristol's dress after the alleged 'scuffle' and 'dragging': no tears, no runs, no damage whatsoever. Thus, no dragging. At this point, the entire Palin klan is imitating Groucho Marx: "who are you gonna believe: me or your lying eyes?" Groucho was only joking, knowing the impossibility; the Palins are saying these things in all seriousness, oblivious to the impossibility.

My ex fell off a roof and had a concussion, when the paramedics got to him started asking questions, he asked "Where's my wallet" "where's my keys" or something like that, not to mention I his wife was there he did not ask...apparently that is quite common in BRAIN DAMAGE. I guess a Alcoholic blackout would be brain damage also, too! Or the payme family is just naturally brain damaged from the drugging and drinking they have done at a young age.

Is this in the news around Alaska or just on her FB page? And, if it's not getting much media coverage, is there really that much overlap of SP FB followers and voters who are supporting Walker?

In other words, will this REALLY matter in the end or is this just one more desperate and pathetic attempt to make herself relevant?

Watch her resignation speech again - she was scared to death when she gave it on the dead lake in Wasilla. The speech that Todd had to rush back to from fishing in Dillingham.

I sincerely doubt Sarah and Todd have 'friends' like the majority of us do. They are too afraid what people know and say about them. I think they are afraid of their own shadows being that they lie about anything and everything and cannot keep up with what they'd spewed throughout the years.

One screwed up family that the majority of us (especially in Alaska!) would want a thing to do with - especially after the way they have lied about the Anchorage Brawl, which is a proven fact!

I think it is more a case of Palin sucking up to Walker and he being too much of a gentleman to ignore her. You'll notice HE isn't the one hyping her endorsement. My feeling is that she (or her handlers) have sensed the sea-change in politics and know that Walker just may win this one. She would love to be able to associate herself with a winner--notice how late in the campaign her endorsement comes--but I seriously doubt she would have any association with the Walker-Mallott administration. Bill seems sauvy, not stupid. BTW, former governor Tony Knowles has endorsed Walker as well.

Alaskans SHOULD NOT sit this governor's race out. Re-electing Parnell, the oil company lawyer before becoming Lt. Gov., is a disaster for Alaska and it will only get worse if he is re-elected.

Alaskans, please vote Walker! I'm worried about where he will take things, but he won't be any worse than Parnell. Plus is background of trying to get a gas pipeline independently will be better for us than Parnell shilling for the oil companies and bending over backwards for them so he will have a job once is not governor.

Palin also has a method to her madness. Should Walker/Mallott be elected, she'll want a seat in their Administration! OMG! She is so unqualified to do any kind of a job.

What it interesting to me is the fact that when Sarah Palin (and Todd) were 'quitter' govs, they discriminated against Alaska's first people! Some of them died under her watch and she did a PR thing where she took 'cookies' of all things (that she 'supposedly' baked herself!) to one of the villages w/the likes of Franklin Graham (in his own airplane).

Sarah Palin (and Todd) and her kids) are liars and frauds. It's been proven time and time again throughout the past years.

'...potlatch brimming with salmon, moose, and caribou hors d’oeuvres.'

Where I grew up, in the Pacific NW, the word 'potlatch' was reserved for certain sacred celebrations amongst the tribes. Do you think she meant 'potluck' and just doesn't know the difference? or do Alaskans use the term interchangeably?

She knows the difference, she's just that culturally indifferent. She thought she would play to the Alaska Natives by calling it a potlatch.

Potlatch in Alaska has the same meaning you describe.

    2. Anonymous5:36 PM

I wondered about that. If it was a potlatch - who was giving who gifts and burning valuables to impress other clans?

If it was a potlluck, then calling it a potlatch is insulting to native Alaskans.

      Geez, she's stupid, isn't she?

Ooooh....CNN is now trying to get the officer who interviewed the 10 or so witnesses the night of the brawl to do an on-air interview with them. The officer whose report states Bristol was NOT attacked and in fact she was the attacker - and one of the individuals who told the officer this - her father, Todd Palin.

Get some popcorn. This show is going to be good.

    --------------------
Police Officer Daily interviewed 10 witneses that night including Donald Jones, Ronald Theraldson and Elena McKenna. Their statements are recorded as well and all their accounts matched that of Korey Klingenmeyer's: Bristol attacked Korey, Bristol was not attacked at all, and in fact, Bristol at one point even told officers that she didn't "have a clue whether she hit him [Korey] or not," (Page 6 of the official police report). Bristol told Officer Blake she was "dragged out" by her legs across the grass onto a Cul-De-Sac where she claims to have had her sandals and her $300 sunglasses stolen. It's worth nothing at this point that when Officer Blake asked to take photos of whatever injuries Bristol may have sustained from her "attack," she declined by saying, "There’s nothing on my face except for beer and makeup.” Another witness, Michelle McGee who was outside having a smoke when the attack happened, was then interviewed by the same officer who interviewed Bristol, officer Daily, and she also stated that Bristol "stormed up" to Korey and proceeded to hit him "numerous" times. (List of witnesses in page 3 of the official police report). She also added, Bristol was never attacked.
