The NFL officially cuts ties with Papa John's pizza.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Pizza chain Papa John's will end its sponsorship deal with the NFL next season, after years of being "the official pizza of the NFL."

The end of the pizza chain's sponsorship comes two months after Papa John's founder and CEO John Schnatter stepped down amid controversy over remarks he made about NFL players' protests during the national anthem hurting the company's business.

The announcement was reported first by Fox Business Network's Charles Gasparino before being confirmed in an earnings call with the company's investors Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement to media, the two organizations announced that the business relationship would shift to individual relationships with local NFL teams and personalities.

But don't shed too many tears for papa John's.

After all they are still the preferred pizza of white supremacists.

Of course the worst thing about Papa John's is that it's just shitty pizza.

In my opinion the racists are welcome to it.

New defense for Roy Moore courtesy of Rush Limbaugh. "Did you know that before 1992 when a lot of this was going on that Judge Moore was a Democrat? "

Courtesy of the Daily Rushbo:

RUSH: So no matter what the real stories are here and no matter what the evidence is, these guys, these people on the Republican side are making it clear they’re going to prevent this guy from ever being seated in the United States Senate.

Did you know that before 1992 when a lot of this was going on that Judge Moore was a Democrat? You didn’t know that? How about all these people now saying, “Oh, yeah, yeah, everybody here knew about Judge Moore. Oh-ho-ho, yeah, good old boy we’ve known about Judge Moore for a long time.” While he was a Democrat. Nobody said a word. When he supposedly was attracted to inappropriately aged girls, he was a Democrat. For what it’s worth.

I guess I'm supposed to have a response to this, but words fail me.

In other news apparently Roy Moore has removed a list of endorsement from his website:

Roy Moore's campaign website no longer contains a list of endorsements.

A message on www.roymoore.org said the list of endorsements "is currently being updated." A list of names was on the site as recently as yesterday.

The change comes after a host of Republicans have pulled their support from Moore in the wake of allegations he had improper sexual contact with two teen girls when he was in his 30s.

Yeah I think that list of endorsements is being updated to zero.

Also yesterday two new accusers stepped forward to point the finger at Moore:

Gena Richardson says she was a high school senior working in the men’s department of Sears at the Gadsden Mall when a man approached her and introduced himself as Roy Moore.

“He said, ‘You can just call me Roy,’ ” says Richardson, who says this first encounter happened in the fall of 1977, just before or after her 18th birthday, as Moore, then a 30-year-old local attorney, was gaining a reputation for pursuing young women at the mall in Gadsden, Ala. His overtures caused one store manager to tell new hires to “watch out for this guy,” another young woman to complain to her supervisor and Richardson to eventually hide from him when he came in Sears, the women say.

Richardson says Moore — now a candidate for U.S. Senate — asked her where she went to school, and then for her phone number, which she says she declined to give, telling him that her father, a Southern Baptist preacher, would never approve.

A few days later, she says, she was in trigonometry class at Gadsden High when she was summoned to the principal’s office over the intercom in her classroom. She had a phone call.

“I said ‘Hello?’” Richardson recalls. “And the male on the other line said, ‘Gena, this is Roy Moore.’ I was like, ‘What?!’ He said, ‘What are you doing?’ I said, ‘I’m in trig class.’ ”

Jesus, he actually had her paged at her high school. Damn that is some aggressive stalking right there.

The other woman says that the teenage girls at the mall all talked about how to avoid Moore, and were told “just make yourself scarce when Roy’s in here, he’s just here to bother you, don’t pay attention to him and he’ll go away.’”

The next story to pop up concerned not a teenage girl and an unmarried stalker, but a woman in the beginnings of divorce proceedings and an already married Roy Moore.

Courtesy of Al.com:

Once the papers were signed, she and her mother got up to leave. After her mother walked through the door first, she said, Moore came up behind her.

It was at that point, she recalled, he grabbed her buttocks.

"He didn't pinch it; he grabbed it," said Johnson. She was so surprised she didn't say anything. She didn't tell her mother.

She did however tell her sister who confirmed her story.

For their part Moore's legal team is focused on the yearbook he signed, because they are pretty sure that suckers a forgery. Never mind all of these other stories that confirm Moore's behaviors.

And that is good enough for Sean Hannity who, based on a letter Moore sent him, is back on the Roy Moore for Senator bandwagon.

Okay so was Rush implying that the only reason that Moore used to be a pedophile is because he was a Democrat, and once he switched parties he was cured?

Is that argument?

Damn, that much stupidity just makes my head hurt.

Sarah Palin endorses candidate who as former Alabama judge was suspended for enforcing state's ban on same sex marriage.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin endorsed Roy Moore on Thursday, giving a boost to the Republican in the Alabama GOP Senate primary runoff.

"Glad he's running and am honored to endorse Judge Roy Moore for the US Senate," Palin said in a statement. "Judge Moore has shown he has what it takes to stand up to the out-of-touch political establishment."

"The Judge has proven he's not afraid of a fight for what is right, and he's ready to take on DC's swamp monsters and make America great again. We need more bold leaders like Judge Moore who will fight for all of us in the US senate," Palin said.

Moore was suspended last year as chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court after ordering lower court judges to continue enforcing the state's ban on same-sex marriage after it had been overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Besides being a homophobe Moore is also well known for fighting to keep a wooden monument to the Ten Commandments in his county courtroom.

So being anti-gay and super religious of course makes him Palin's dream candidate.

It's also helpful I'm sure that he is also being supported by the Nazi in the White House.

Barack Obama weighs in on France presidential election, backs Emmanuel Macron.

Courtesy of The Guardian:

Barack Obama has made a last-minute intervention in the French presidential election in support of Emmanuel Macron, saying “the success of France matters to the entire world”.

Macron, a centrist, faces Marine Le Pen of the far-right Front National in a runoff vote on Sunday. Polls put him 20 points ahead.

The former US president said he had chosen to declare his support, in a video tweeted by Macron on Thursday afternoon, because of the importance of the election.

“I’m not planning to get involved in many elections now that I don’t have to run for office but the French election is very important to the future of France and the values that we care so much about,” he said.

Obama said he supported Macron because he appealed to “people’s hopes and not their fears” and ended his message with the words “Vive la France.”

As you may know the former president is incredibly popular in Europe, and France is only second to Germany in their adoration for our former Commander-in-Chief.

So this could do much to help Macron, especially since Trump has all but endorsed his opponent Marine Le Pen.

Donald Trump just received an endorsement from the KKK' official newspaper. Well of course he did.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Among the small number of American newspapers that have embraced Donald Trump’s campaign, there is one, in particular, that stands out.

It is called the Crusader — and it is one of the most prominent newspapers of the Ku Klux Klan.

Under the banner "Make America Great Again," the entire front page of the paper's current issue is devoted to a lengthy defense of Trump’s message — an embrace some have labeled a de facto endorsement.

"'Make America Great Again!' It is a slogan that has been repeatedly used by Donald Trump in his campaign for the presidency," Pastor Thomas Robb wrote in the Crusader. "You can see it on the shirts, buttons, posters and ball caps such as the one being worn here by Trump speaking at a recent rally. … But can it happen? Can America really be great again? This is what we will soon find out!"

"While Trump wants to make America great again, we have to ask ourselves, 'What made America great in the first place?'" the article continues. "The short answer to that is simple. America was great not because of what our forefathers did — but because of who our forefathers were.

"America was founded as a White Christian Republic. And as a White Christian Republic it became great."

Apparently the Trump campaign issued a statement rejecting the endorsement and renouncing "hate in any form," but let's face it these white supremacists recognize a fellow Klan member when they see one.

Trump's entire campaign is based on white men feeling oppressed in this society and terrified that they are losing their place at the top of the food chain.

All I can say is "If the pointy white hood fits, wear it."

Colin Powell endorses Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of CNN:

Former Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell said Tuesday he'll vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, a high-profile snub of his party's standard-bearer, Donald Trump.

Powell, who also served in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations, backed President Barack Obama in both the 2008 and 2012 campaigns. He announced his plan to a Long Island group during a luncheon.

The announcement was confirmed by Powell's chief of staff, Peggy Cifrino.

I don't think that this should really come as much of a surprise despite the fact that Powell was a little irritated that Hillary pulled him into the private email server debate.

After all he also endorsed President Obama in both 2008 and 2012 and his feelings about Trump were already exposed in one of his own hacked emails:

"Trump is nuts. Everybody wants me to speak out, but I will pick the time and place for maximum effect like I did in 2008 and 2012. Right now, Trump is his worst own enemy."

Still it's yet another feather in Hillary's cap and another reminder that those who understand the job of President the best do not want Donald Trump anywhere near it.

New Hillary Clinton ad ties Donald Trump to his biggest supporters, the conspiracy theorists.

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Hillary Clinton‘s campaign arm has a new ad out, and it takes Donald Trump to task over his relationship with a notorious conspiracy theorist who has fueled some of his most controversial political talking points.

Alex Jones is the host of InfoWars. Whenever he’s not chatting with top Trump advisor Roger Stone, he typically uses his radio show to dish out conspiracy pieces to attack Hillary Clinton, President Obama, and virtually everyone else he deems an evil nasty global elitist all-around terrible human being.

As it happens, Trump once gave Jones an interview, where the mogul praised Jones for his “amazing” reputation. Clinton’s team took note of this, so they compiled a montage on Sunday of how many bizarre things Jones has said over the years.

Of course this will have little impact on Trump's "basket of deporables" since they get their news from essentially the same sources (As evidenced by some of the crap posted here in the comment section over the last couple of days.), however for any vaguely rational undecideds this is going to be a real eye opener.

And it seems to be working as a new WSJ/NBC poll now shows Hillary leading by 11 points nationally.
Not only that but Nebraska's Omaha World Herald is breaking an almost 100 year old tradition by endorsing a Democrat instead of the Republican candidate.

And of course this is just the latest in a long line of staunchly conservative newspapers to do the same.

Gosh it looks like just about EVERYBODY is working together to "steal" this election from Donald Trump. Including the voters.

Remember when it all began?

Somebody sent this to me, and after SNL's premiere on Saturday I thought we could all use a trip down memory lane back to when Donald Trump, his campaign, and his earliest supporters were just one big joke.

They are still a joke, but the problem is that so many people in this country do not seem to recognize one when they see it.

Not once in their 34 year history has USA Today weighed in on a presidential race. Donald Trump changed that policy.

Courtesy of USA Today:

In the 34-year history of USA TODAY, the Editorial Board has never taken sides in the presidential race. Instead, we’ve expressed opinions about the major issues and haven’t presumed to tell our readers, who have a variety of priorities and values, which choice is best for them. Because every presidential race is different, we revisit our no-endorsement policy every four years. We’ve never seen reason to alter our approach. Until now.

This year, the choice isn’t between two capable major party nominees who happen to have significant ideological differences. This year, one of the candidates — Republican nominee Donald Trump — is, by unanimous consensus of the Editorial Board, unfit for the presidency.

From the day he declared his candidacy 15 months ago through this week’s first presidential debate, Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness and honesty that America needs from its presidents.

Whether through indifference or ignorance, Trump has betrayed fundamental commitments made by all presidents since the end of World War II. These commitments include unwavering support for NATO allies, steadfast opposition to Russian aggression, and the absolute certainty that the United States will make good on its debts. He has expressed troubling admiration for authoritarian leaders and scant regard for constitutional protections.

The editorial board then goes on to lay out all of the reasons that Trump is unfit to lead this nation

These include the following:
  • He is erratic. (Just see his Twitter rant from this morning to confirm this.)
  • He is ill-equipped to be commander in chief. (Duh!)
  • He traffics in prejudice. (Yes and it seems that every alt-Right Nazi is working on his campaign now.)
  • His business career is checkered. (Understatement.)
  • He isn’t leveling with the American people. (Yeah, how much are you really worth Donald?)
  • He speaks recklessly. He has coarsened the national dialogue. (Once again, duh!)
  • He’s a serial liar. (And yet everybody keeps talking about Hillary Clinton's dishonesty.)
Personally I would be willing to bet that almost all of us have a list eerily similar to this one for why we would never support a Trump candidacy, and the thing is that more and more people are compiling their own lists every day.

So how many newspapers have come out in support of Hillary now, while also warning people away from Doanld Trump?

Hillary Clinton is not even President yet and she is already breaking new ground.

Source
You can read the endorsement here.

This is only the latest in a number of Right leaning newspapers to publicly endorse Hillary Clinton, many of which have no endorsed a Democrat for decades.

But let's face it, what choice do they have?

A news gathering organization cannot in good conscience endorse Trump, and endorsing a third party candidate is like putting out a forest fire by pissing on a plastic houseplant.

So yeah, Hillary is getting a whole lot of support from those who really understand just how much is at stake.

Ted Cruz has now endorsed Donald Trump after months of animosity between to two men.

Courtesy of CNN:

Ted Cruz endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency Friday afternoon, a stunning turn of events after a contentious primary filled with nasty personal attacks and a dramatic snub at the Republican National Convention.

"After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump," Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.

"A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you don't want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him."

"I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz," Trump said in a statement obtained by CNN. "We have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again."

Having a little trouble holding down my lunch here.

After all Ted Cruz is a lying conniving POS, and Donald Trump is the grand poobah of lying conniving pieces of shit.

Besides they always say that Democrats fall in love, while Republicans fall in line.

So it appears that Cruz is simply doing what numerous other GOP politicians have done before him, swallow the mouthful of shit and cower like a beaten dog in the hopes of surviving long enough to run for office again.

So I guess this no longer bothers him.
So much for standing up for you family, or for your country, or for anything else that requires integrity, courage, or a spine.

More good news for Donald Trump.

Yeah if you are a Republican presidential candidate who cannot get an endorsement from a newspaper in TEXAS, I think you have a very serious problem.

The Sarah Palin curse lives on as Paul Ryan destroys his primary challenger.

Courtesy of Business Insider:

House Speaker Paul Ryan crushed his insurgent challenger in their Tuesday primary, multiple outlets report.

Ryan topped Wisconsin businessman Paul Nehlen by an 85% to 15% split.

Although polling showed that the House speaker never faced much of a threat from Nehlen, the race was brought to the forefront after Republican nominee Donald Trump praised Nehlen on Twitter for defending him on a presidential campaign controversy.

Of course later Trump did endorse Ryan leaving a certain Wasilla Wendigo all alone adrift on an iceberg of anger and defiance.

Personally I do not care for Paul Ryan one little bit and think it would be just great if he lost his primary race. Especially to someone who the Democrats would likely beat in the general.

However that takes a backseat to watching Sarah Palin fall flat on her face yet again.

Though I am sure those fake boobalas of hers will break that fall.

Saturday, August 06, 2016

Almost immediately after Donald Trump finally endorses Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin doubles down on her endorsement of his challenger.

Courtesy of the Wasilla Whack-a-doodle's Facebook page:

Rep. Paul Ryan abandoned the district he was to represent as special interests dictated his legislative priorities. Without ever having a real job outside of politics, it seems he disconnected himself from the people, thus easily disrespected the will of the people. It's time for a change. I'm supporting the independent conservative businessman, Paul Nehlen, to return the House Speakership to "We The People". Here's the worthy challenger, Paul Nehlen.

Here is what CNN reported concerning the timing of this Facebook post:

Sarah Palin reiterated her support for Paul Ryan's primary challenger Friday night immediately after her political ally, Donald Trump, endorsed the House speaker.

Minutes after Trump announced his support during a rally in Ryan's home state, Palin wrote on Facebook that she was "proud to be standing with Paul Nehlen since May 9th."

Well isn't THAT interesting.

So does this mean that Palin is finally fed up with being left on the sidelines by Donald Trump and is responding like a petulant child? (After all Ryan is clearly going to win his nomination as he leads this Nehlen fellow by 66 points on the polls.)

Or has she finally recognized that the Trump campaign is doomed and she is distancing herself as much as possible before the whole thing implodes and destroys everybody within the vicinity?

I guess we'll find out by watching to see what she posts next.

My fingers are crossed for a complete about face where she starts attacking Trump in that passive aggressive mean girl style that we have all come to know so well.

Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton. Finally! Update!

I hate to say I told you so, so I won't. (But I did.)

Update: Donald Trump marks the occasion, as only he can.
I guess perhaps he was hoping Sanders would endorse him?

Update 2: Courtesy of NPR: "Secretary Clinton has won the Democratic nominating process, and I congratulate her for that," Sanders said. "She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States.

"I have come here today not to talk about the past but to focus on the future. That future will be shaped more by what happens on November 8 in voting booths across our nation than by any other event in the world. I have come here to make it as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton and why she must become our next president."

Sanders is still talking so I am sure there will be more to add later.

Update 3: Oh hell Jill Stein is losing her shit right now!
More courtesy of Politico:

On the same day Bernie Sanders officially endorsed Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination and declared she will make an "outstanding president," presumptive Green Party nominee Jill Stein was having none of it.

"If you don't want to vote for a war monger or racist billionaire, there are more options. The political revolution will keep going," Stein tweeted in the hour preceding Sanders' announcement alongside Clinton in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

In another tweet, Stein wrote, "While Trump praises dictators, Hillary takes their money. Remind us again of Saudi Arabia's human rights record?"

Holy shit, she's a crazy person.

And here I thought the best part of the day would be watching the Bernie-bots crying into their bongs.

Bernie Sanders to join Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire tomorrow.

Courtesy of Politico:

Bernie Sanders will join Hillary Clinton on Tuesday for a rally in New Hampshire, Clinton's campaign announced Monday.

Sanders will campaign with Clinton at a high school in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, less than two weeks before the party's convention begins in Philadelphia.

The Vermont senator's campaign announced his participation minutes after the Clinton team's email hit inboxes, with both announcements sharing the same language that the two former primary rivals will "discuss their commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top."

I think it's a safe bet to assume that tomorrow Sanders will endorse Clinton and officially end his campaign.

Sanders and his delegates have pushed to craft the most progressive platform in history, so that should be more than enough to convince Sanders that his work here is done.

However I must again point out that the platform literally means nothing unless the Democrats can get enough support to pass their policy ideas into law, and that will undoubtedly include compromise which Sanders and his supporters seem to reject out of hand.

Personally I am just glad that this whole thing is about over so that I no longer have any reason to write another word about Bernie Sanders.

Joe Biden claims that Bernie Sanders told him that he was going to endorse Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders says not so fast there.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Vice President Biden says Bernie Sanders will endorse his Democratic primary opponent, Hillary Clinton.

"I've talked to Bernie, Bernie's going to endorse her, this is going to work out," Biden said in an interview with NPR's "Weekend Edition" to air Sunday. "The Democrats are coalescing even before this occurs."

The first thing that happened was that a Sanders' spokesman refused to confirm or deny Biden's claim.

The next thing that happened is that Sanders did an interview with Chris Hayes on MSNBC where he was asked about it:

“I talked to Joe, I think it was three weeks ago,” Sanders told MSNBC host Chris Hayes. “On that issue, we are trying to work with Secretary Clinton’s campaign on areas that we can agree on.”

“We are working with the Clinton campaign, trying to be able to come forward and say to my supporters, ‘Here’s the progress that we have made,'” Sanders said, adding, “I hope that we can meet that goal. We are not there at this moment.”

As you can see Sanders is still giving the impression that Clinton has to jump through his flaming hoops before he will give in and endorse her.

However Biden says the deal is already done.

Now you can lob a number of criticism at Vice President Biden, he's a little too handsy, he tells long boring stories, but one thing you cannot say about him is that he is a liar.

If anything Joe Biden might be a little TOO honest.

In other words if VP Biden says he received confirmation from Sanders that he is going to endorse Hillary Clinton, then by god Sanders told him that he is going to endorse Clinton. Period.

So why is Sanders still acting like the coy high school girl in the prom dress acting as if she is not sure she wants to "go all the way tonight" when her friends know full well that she has a roll condoms and a Barry White album in her purse?

Simple. The minute that Sanders admits that it's all over and he no longer has any more leverage to use at the convention, his supporters, especially the broke ones who are begging for money to help them get to Philadelphia, will disappear in a cloud of pot smoke and that will be it.

And if that happened then stuff like this would come to a halt:

120 people, including 104 donors to Bernie Sanders’ campaign, have sued embattled Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC for fraud, negligent misrepresentation, and breach of fiduciary duty, among other claims, alleging that Wasserman Schultz favored Hillary Clinton and misled DNC and Sanders donors into believing she was impartial.

Yeah there's a lawsuit doomed to fail.

Oh and there is also this kind of thing:
Yep, hard to make plans to attend Sanders' inauguration once he concedes and endorses Hillary Clinton now isn't it?

Oh damn, I almost forgot the fundraising.
Yep Sanders is also still fundraising.

So go ahead Bernie-bots you tell me how I'M the one who doesn't get it, or that I'm a shill for Hillary, or that I simply don't understand that Bernie Sanders has changed politics in this country.

No I get it just fine, I have even seen all of this before, on the GOP side.

The question to ask is, "Do you finally get it?"

The moment Bernie Sanders learned that President Obama had endorsed Hillary Clinton.

Yeah pretty clear he did not see that coming.

Later this same day Sanders gave a speech which the Huffington Post described as "Divorced from Reality."

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Bernie Sanders delivered his typical stump speech at a campaign rally Thursday evening, choosing not to acknowledge President Barack Obama’s endorsement of Hillary Clinton, his meeting with the president, or Clinton’s claim to have won enough delegates for the Democratic nomination.

“Next Tuesday, here in Washington, you will be having the very last primary of the Democratic nominating process,” Sanders told a crowd outside Robert F. Kennedy Stadium. “It would be extraordinary if the people of Washington, our nation’s capital, stood up and told the world that they are ready to lead this country into a political revolution.”

Later in that same speech Sanders made the comment "When I am President."

WTF?

And remember this came right after he assured the press that he would be working WITH Hillary Clinton to defeat Donald Trump.

Washington D.C. has 20 pledged delegates up for grabs, so obviously it can have no real impact on the nominating process. (Which is already over!)

There are also 26 super delegates ALL of whom are already going for Hillary Clinton. (Which also does not matter because Hillary Clinton already won!)

Lately there has been some criticism directed at me for not being more "diplomatic" or for not handling the sensitive feelings of the poor disappointed Bernie Sanders supporters with more care.

Seriously?

Every single day on this blog, that I created all by my lonesome, I get insulted repeatedly and called every name in the book. When did I ever go crying to anybody about my hurt little feelings?

This is politics, which is about the closest thing to the Roman gladiator games that you can get without actually getting stabbed or hit with a large club. (Two things by the way that have actually happened to me.)

In my opinion the Bernie Sanders supporters should have seen the writing on the wall months ago, and seen through Bernie's bullshit much much earlier.

If you failed to do that it is certainly not my job to make you feel better about your stupidity, it is my job to rub your nose in it so you do not do anything that ignorant again.

And for that you are welcome.

President Obama endorses Hillary Clinton. Update!

Courtesy of NBC News:

"I know how hard this job can be. That's why I know Hillary will be so good at it. In fact, I don't think there's ever been someone so qualified to hold this office," he says in the video, which was tweeted by Clinton's official Twitter account.

"I have seen her judgment, I have seen her toughness, I have seen her commitment to our values up close," he said of his former Democratic rival and first secretary of state.

Obama and Clinton will appear together in their first joint campaign trip together next Wednesday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Clinton's campaign said.

Well that is a fairly ringing endorsement right there.

The President also met with Bernie Sanders today and somehow convinced him to stop being a dick and to work with Hillary Clinton to defeat Donald Trump in the general.

And they say the man cannot perform miracles.

I am going to update this post a little later tonight after Elizabeth Warren, or as I call her "Madame VP," endorses Hillary on the Rachel Maddow show.

That's right kids, everything is starting to come together nicely.

Update: Well as expected Elizabeth Warren just endorsed Hillary Clinton, with real passion might I add.

And when Rachel Maddow followed up with questions about whether she was being vetted as a VP candidate, Warren said "not to her knowledge" but never said that she was not interested in the position.

And when asked if she felt she would be prepared, if she were the VP, to step into the presidency if called do so she said "Yes, I do."

I have never been more convinced that she is going to be Hillary's VP, than I am right now.

Hey. look who's back to endorsing.

Courtesy of the Kiss of Death's Facebook page:

I'm proud to endorse a proven warrior for US Senate in Colorado - Darryl Glenn is who this country needs! Over two decades of exemplary military service brought him honor and adulation for his intelligence, leadership skills, fiscal responsibility, and patriotism. His deserved recognition honed a servant's heart. He's one who proudly clings to God, guns and our constitution!

Darryl Glenn is a conservative outsider needed to take Washington by storm. Colorado - please support Darryl Glenn for US Senate.

Thank you!

 - Sarah Palin

Apparently this Glenn guy is the new rising star in Colorado conservative politics, so of course Palin smells opportunity. And I'm sure it does not hurt that he is black.

Helps to tamp down those rumors of racism.

Or as we call them here in Alaska, truths.

(Here is Glenn's nomination acceptance speech just chock full of conservative do whistles, attacks on Obama, and Right Wing red meat.)

It took a little while for Glenn to acknowledge Palin's endorsement but he finally gave the old girl some attention:

“This is a true honor, and we look forward to working for brighter tomorrow together. It is time for Colorado to lead, and we are proud to have Sarah Palin on board,” Glenn said.

The Colorado Democratic party on the other hand was much quicker off the block:

Chris Meagher, Colorado Democratic Party spokesman had this to say about the endorsement: "It’s hardly a surprise that Darryl Glenn earned Sarah Palin’s endorsement today, considering he is one of the most extreme conservative candidates running for Senate. Just as Palin has shown for years that she is out-of-touch with mainstream America, Glenn – a climate change denier who has called Donald Trump a patriot – has shown he is out-of-touch with the people of Colorado."

So let's see if Palin's icy touch is still as potent as it once was at destroying political careers.
