Colorado state representative Gordon Klingenschmitt claims that people don't need no stinking Obamacare. Not when they have God as their heavenly physician.

Courtesy of Right Wing Watch:

Gordon Klingenschmitt is excited about a recent Fox News poll that claims that 58 percent of Americans want to repeal Obamacare, declaring on his "Pray In Jesus Name" program recently that people ought to be relying on God for their healthcare.

Citing a passage from Exodus 15, Klingenschmitt asserted that God will protect people from disease so long as they obey His commands and said that Americans "ought to look to the Lord for our healthcare."

"I personally prefer to look to almighty God as my healer and not to the government as a substitute god or substitute healer," he said, before praying that this nation would "repent of worshiping President Obama as if he is a god."

Here is the video:

You know it sounds to me that God was only promising not to bring the same plagues upon his people that he unleashed on the Egyptians.

Which include water to blood, a butt load of frogs, gnats or lice, swarms of flies, sick cattle, boils, thunder and hail, locusts, darkness, and death of your firstborn.

Nowhere does it claim that you will be healed of cancer, heart disease, kidney failure, or any of the actual sicknesses that modern man faces today.

So WTF is this guy even talking about?

And don't even get me started on the fact that since the Egyptians never had Jews as slaves in the first place that this entire story is based on pure unadulterated horseshit.

Good job Colorado.

He should talk to the Christian Scientists who go to physicians when they know that pray alone won't fix a hernia, remove a tumor, or repair shattered bones. God gave us the intelligence to be able to learn how to fix our fellow man. What do these bozos want? They want to bigger than God, is what!

  2. Somebody needs to drag this arrogant asshole down to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston and take a look at all of sick children in there dying. I wonder what commands these kids have not obeyed that puts them in these life and death situations. If that's the way this man's God works, I'll pass.

Hey, Rod. In Oregon yesterday, a couple was sentenced to ten years for killing their children this way. Ten years. In those kids' lives, they would have been barely out of the gate.

Continues to show me that many, many supposed Christians throughout the USA are really screwed up and it's no wonder their numbers are dropping!

Anyone of them that thinks medical insurance (yes, the Affordable Care Act) isn't necessary for many Americans is truly fucked up! What? Do they just want to watch 'certain type' people die and not receive appropriate care? Kind of sounds like it to me.

I think it's a great plan, everyone in Colorado should bring in their unpaid medical bills to a local church and see how well that goes over :)

Dr. Chaps wears glasses... and probably contact lenses.

If he truly believes that prayer will heal, why doesn't he throw away his glasses and rely upon his god to heal his eyes?

Hey Gordon, if ever you get a rattlesnake bite, just ask the Lord to take care of it. Wham-bam, just as good as new, and no deductible! Right?

    Who birthed this idiot?

Oh, Gryphen, you missed something so I'll correct it for you.

Ouiji Board Deluxe Version is now available with spell-check. Personally, I don't need perfect spelling to get the message that these RW nutters are completely full of shit and void of intelligence and sound reasoning. They deserve to be ridiculed every time they speak this nonsense.

Dr. Assless Chaps should forego the Cadillac version of healthcare the taxpayers afford for him in this case. Why does HE need medical insurance when he can just pray away any illness? Obviously praying does not work for ignorance.

There are too many examples to post regarding how reliance on god for healthcare usually goes sideways. These people walk amongst us and they are frightening in their ignorance. I feel so much pity for the religious amongst us that I can't even express it properly.

They can also take their xmas "greed-fest" and shove it up their butts because it is nothing more than a bowing down to their corporate overlords in the name of a fictional god and the consumer society they have built in his name. These people are sick to their very core, and I'm thankful that their illness is not contagious to us, the thinkers.

  13. I call bullshit. I doubt very much if Mr. Klingyshit before or after the passing of the ACA/Obomacare has ever hesitated for a moment to take his crazy ass to a doctor when feeling the need. Especially during the times when he's been on that sweet, sweet, gummint healthcare.

In the name of Buddha or whatever, What is this man taking about. Insanity prevails. I am so sick of organized religion I could just puke when I see this behavior. Is he suggesting young children should simply die of infections like that child in Oregon? How does somebody get so damn crazy? I’ll tell you. People who cannot think for themselves (or as it was explained to me by a religious nut job “Have the ego to believe they can think for themselves!”) seek out a tribe for which they can draw some protection in a fantasy.

True Story: My sister suffers from this "hearing voices" thing and it is the hardest thing to try to be there for. Angels are making her weak so she can be strong when the big earthquake comes and she's in a motel cooking off a hot plate in order to help people because her apartment complex will be destroyed. All in the name of God, between now and Christmas, the "big one: is going to hit the west coast lower 48. No presents please. It is a NIGHTMARE.

Family has told her to see a doctor, God is her physician. Five days and counting.....

Like $arah Palin, make it STOP.

Well, he "did" retire because he was supposedly tired of being made fun of for voicing his beliefs, albeit after screwing the new wife in the broom closet while married. The "Our Sarah" book that dried up with next to no sales, not to mention her $arahPAC funds that he was a recipient of. You expect him to WORK? Not when there's free money. baby, it's how they roll.

  19. One rather revealing paragraph at the link for that Fox News poll:

Twice as many people say their family is worse off (28 percent), yet the pain may be all in their head. Consider this: 47 percent of Republicans say their family is worse off compared to just 9 percent of Democrats. And 62 percent of those who are part of the Tea Party movement say their family is worse off under ObamaCare."

I think this guy is a fucking lunatic.

But honestly Gryphen, you are really hung up on this idea that the Jews were never slaves. Based on one fucking thing you read.
That's just as annoying. You often don't do much research on many topics but proclaim things as if they were factual. Based on equally ridiculous assertions.

But you are pretty hung up on this one. I wonder why that is?

1:53 PM--- I was going to provide you with some links, but when I googled "Were Jews Really Slaves", I was overwhelmed with references, so here are but a few:

      www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/the-jewish-thinker/were-jews-ever-really-slaves

      www.reformjudaism-org./were-jews-slaves-egypt

      www.andrugox.blogspot.com/2013/10/were-jews-really-slaves-in-egypt

Or, you can research all the archaeological and recent genetic analyses for yourself.

Ugghhh, Jews, who cares? You're all religious nuts, christian, jew, catholic, muslim, buddhist, hindu...blah, blah, blah. What you fail to understand is that most sane and non-brainwashed people really don't care about any of your fairy tales or you people who believe them. Get over it.

Biblical archaeology is considered fringe by most I archaeologists as in "looking for things to justify belief.” I would step carefully in that quagmire I’ve been to many meetings where the bible archaeologists were unable to quantify their work.

There's a popular health food cook on the east coast, her name rhymes with "Christine Pirello". She got cancer around the time I did, so I delved into her books, shows and lectures at Ivy League Colleges. Depending on who's telling her story, things change. Her unbiased explanation for spontaneous remission, yes folks, the skies opened, the angels tooted their horns, and she was cured. (Whatever conventional treatments she got didn't count) https://www.christinacooks.com/stuff-know-about-me

She loved the book so much, she married the ghostwriter. A sign of "truthiness". When you win the "big C" lottery, you do a lot of research, and you keep your fingers crossed, She's "changed her style" and her "story" since the early days. There's this thing about not giving medical anecdotal advice on the airwaves, in magazines, and books etc.
No one wanted to believe her more than I, but something called "science" and a man called an "oncologist" are the one's whom I give full credit. Wanna sell books? By all means do, but don't give people false hope.
Same with this Steve Jobs black tee shirt wannabe. He needs medical help, the kind that involves a couch and psychiatrist.

I say give Klingenschmitt and those "believers" all the rope they need, let them depend on the heavenly medical plan to cure their ills. Given less than a generation, they'd mostly die off without the miracles they're expecting. They get to go to heaven (hehehe), and we don't have them around anymore. Everybody wins!
