Elizabeth Warren takes to the Senate floor to take on Citigroup and condemn the politicians who seemingly work for them. Amazing speech!

Courtesy of MSNBC:

“You know,” Warren said Friday, “there is a lot of talk lately about how Dodd-Frank isn’t perfect. There is a lot of talk coming from Citigroup about how Dodd-Frank isn’t perfect. So let me say this to anyone who is listening at Citi – I agree with you. Dodd-Frank isn’t perfect. It should have broken you into pieces.”

I cannot remember when the last time was that I wanted to stand up and cheer for a speech on the Senate floor, but I certainly did yesterday.

Elizabeth Warren has now thrown down the gauntlet for her fellow Democrats, and I really don't think they can ignore it.

And you can tell that Warren really frightens the Republicans by who is coming after her since this speech.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), responding to Sen. Elizabeth's Warren (D-Mass.) criticism of the $1.1 trillion government spending bill's provision that allows banks to take more risk with taxpayer money, on Friday evening went after Warren and other Democrats who sided against the bill.

"If you follow the lead of the senator of Massachusetts and bring this bill down … people are not going to believe you are mature enough to run the place,” Graham said on the Senate floor. “Don’t follow her lead. She’s the problem."

"I'm sure on MSNBC you're going to be well thought of, and on the liberal version of talk radio you'll have your moment with that crowd," Graham said, chiding Warren and other Democrats who deplored what has been called a Wall Street giveaway.

"You're tired, you're frustrated, you're upset about a provision in the bill you don't like," he added of Warren.

Yeah way to talk down to somebody who is clearly your intellectual superior.

By the way as you may have noticed from the previous post Warren has at least one well known conservative figure essentially agreeing with her about the Cromnibus bill. Sarah Palin.

Gee I guess we can all look forward to an impassioned ghostwritten Facebook post in favor of Senator Warren. Right?

Right?

Not right?

Warren is spot on! Now why aren’t the teapartiers right behind her? After all she is the only person taking measures to avert the catastrophe of 2008 brought on by the criminal derivatives market which resulted in the bailout? Could it be she is a woman?

Don’t get me wrong here, I am not implying the trap party is the democratic party in this respect. I’m just pointing out it doesn’t even recognize itself.

I think Elizabeth would get more support, just because Hillary has been around for so very long, and you get into the 'entitled' crap. Either woman would be a wonderful first female President, though, and whoever the nominee is will get my vote.

It was a wonderful speech and I like Elizabeth Warren. That being said, I do not want another government shut down and I predict that this budget bill will pass with bipartisan support.

Perhaps the Dems need to play the R game and put in riders to must pass legislation at the last minute. What's good for the goose is good for the gander as they say.

  6. ms lindsey is whimpering because Sen. Warren is the woman he wishes he could be. lindsey is a wide-hip asshole.

the insufferable witch is coming over to our side with her ice bucket challenge, kicking her buddy out of office, taking side with the opposing party and now siding with Sen. Warren. What's next? Going on msnbc? This shit coming from a clown who dresses like liberal woman (Rep. Giffords, Oprah, FLOTUS, ect) as some sort of sick joke.

she is such a phony insufferable witch. I will be glad when she is behind bars or left in a heap of snot, tears and shit while having a mental breakdown.

  8. Yesterday on C4P, JRD1 said she/he agreed with Warren. Then there was this:

Just read what there is on Elizabeth Warren in Wiki. It seems that we may have trivialized her in relating her to Pocahontas because she is supposed to have made some claim to have native ancestors. She is extremely well educated and held many significant positions. She obtained scholarships by excelling in debates. Based on what I read she would be a far more formidable opponent for Sarah than Hillary.

    Strange times......

Elizabeth Warren debating Sarah Palin would be like a Professor debating a 1st grader. Those C4Pers are some sick uninformed clowns.

Lindsey Graham's nose seems to be out of joint. He cannot speak that clearly, and he has never been able to control his whine or tell the truth. Seems to me Senator Lindsey is so wrapped in denial he wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the crotch. I would have said head, but I don't think that is where his brain is.

  10. Palin wouldn't risk losing her SarahPAC donations by agreeing with Warren. She claims she's a rogue, but not when it comes down to taking a chance on her personal spending account that SarahPAC is for Palin. Besides, she would have to agree with a liberal and admit Warren is right which would be a cold day in hell before she would ever admit that a liberal is right.

So THAT's what it sounds like when someone is fighting for TRUE American values on behalf of ALL Americans, not just the special privileged elite few, and not just to incite anger in the rednecks. Amazing.

Can't wait to see $arah smear shit on herself over this. -Or who knows, maybe she'll wise the fuck up and post an "I can't believe I agree with Elizabeth Warren"? Hahahaha of course she won't. Gotta keep the mindless hate flowing or the dollars might stop. Amirite?

This is why we need Warren in the trenches fighting it out for us. Although, someone has already said that she could be a Teddy Roosevelt for our age.

That speech had me roaring and clapping. Miss Lindsey needs to visit his obgyn and get his hormones checked, A case of the vapors like that can give a lady a heart attack, especially when joining forces with McCain Carolling eleven houses to ward people off his lawns.
Liz is more of a doer and less a chronicler of whatever topics rattle in her brain. Poor RAM has to re arrange the stools, and even then the word salad stinks.
BUT I do love it when Sarah has a hissey fit. Would have been much better had Orange man raised the white flag and let Pelosi do her thing and pass a good bill.
