Last night's musical Colbert Report send off. Might need a hankie.

Ah man that was so good.

I ma going to really, really, really, miss this show.

As a bonus here is Stephen Colbert and President Obama backstage at George Washington University last week practicing this song together.

Perfect way to close the show, it gave me goosebumps. It must feel strange and satisfying ending this show at the top. I guess I can cross off "Get tickets to see Colbert Show" on my bucket list.

I predict there will be internet challenges seeing who can name the most people in this video! What was Gregory doing there?

I'm so pissed at him for leaving my favorite show and leaving no replacement with the same "mock right wing" format! It's okay, there are still some seasons that I've not seen all of the shows so for the next year I'll be able to catch up on all the Colbert's I missed and I do look forward to his being on the Letterman show hour but I will miss Colbert the character. He leaves a big hole at 10:30pm!!

Me too. All four times that I've watched it. Happy for him and his new job, but sad for his "nation". Guess I need to get used to staying up later.

I kept waiting for President Obama to show up...wishful thinking. Love Cobert but at least we still have John Oliver!

President Obama would have been perfect, but you know you couldn't have and he wanted to! I laughed at poor ol' David Gregory in the background getting around heads to put his face on camera.

Watch again, in the end he's singing with his arms folded? Oooh body language, mad, David? The Colbert Report was for people just like you, and he was respectful enough to invite you to the finale. What a putz.

I think that many Republicans continued to believe for years that Stephen Colbert was "one of them." I'd love to see a list of all those who appeared during the song. Will really miss Stephen. He'll not have the same "freedom of speech and innuendo" on network television that he had on the Comedy Channel.

Sorry you weren't invited to the finale of the Colbert Report, $arah, that's where all the cool people were while you had your thumb out. LOL
