The reason that the President was more hands on with getting Alan Gross out of prison than the conservative's pet border jumping Marine might be because Gross was arrested for smuggling satellite phones and computer components to a Cuban Jewish organization, and Tahmooressi was caught crossing the border with illegal firearms and then repeatedly lied to the Mexican police.
Just a hunch.
As for Palin's second season working the green screen, there is really not a whole lot of buzz thus far.
The Washington Times covered it, barely.
As did Mediaite.
Alaska Dispatch did a little better. (Also revealing Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner's struggle with alcohol and drugs.)
And even Breitbart could only bring themselves to contribute about six paragraphs to the show.

What I found more informative were the comments found on some of these media outlets.

I remember reading a summary of all the schools she attended, the credits she would have earned and considering that not all credits will transfer to a 4 year Bachelor program...I am a total believer that she faked the whole graduation thing. That photo of her throwing her cap in the air or some such...I recall someone stating that her tassle color was incorrect for her stated "Major" and on and on. I believe that this was the beginning - the foundation - of her fraudulent "public" persona and once she became a public figure with the TV station, there was no turning back for her. She couldn't admit that lie and since she got away with it, she kept on going and I think she actually believes these delusions by now. All the rest of her big lies have built upon this one.
I'd love to know if this is ever talked about in the community. I think that there must be other "locals" who were in school there at the same time. Thank you so much for persisting Gryphen. Like many others, this is one of my first stops in the morning and one of the last ones at night.

Considering all the college hopping she did, some credits would not transfer from one institution to the next, yet she supposedly graduated "on schedule" with sometimes a Communications major, and other times a degree in Journalism. Molly, the one that was married to Trooper Wooten, seems to show up periodically to family events, but Heather, her other sister is rarely seen at family events. Heather is the one that kept her kids, Bristol when she had mono for 5 months and even the other kids when Sarah and Todd were both working. Heather might just be too burned out on Sarah and her family to spend any time with them given that she raised most of Sarah's kids.

Given some of the rumors about one of Todd's sideline business, I don't think that he would be embarrassed that his wife stood by the side of the road trying to get noticed.
