"Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch’s War on Journalism" is now available online. If you haven't seen it...well there is really no excuse for having never seen it.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

The film charts the rise of Fox News, outlining the marketing-based techniques that make the channel such “compelling” viewing — the “Fox News Alert,” the blurring of journalism and commentary, and the deceptive use of the chyron, i.e. the lower third of the viewing area on a typical television screen.

In addition to that, the film also reviews Fox New’s coverage both of the 2000 presidential election and the run-up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, demonstrating how the network successfully established the talking points used by those in the so-called “liberal media.”

Personally I have watched this documentary about three times now.

Typically I have to watch it incrementally because I get so pissed off I want to pick Sean Hannity up by his ankles and beat Roger Ailes to death with him.

If this isn't sedition - the attempt to subvert the government through word and deed - then I don't know what a dictionary is used for. Rupert should be stripped of his citizenship and sued for every single penny he has.

OT Chuck Heath Jr.'s Facebook has a new post:
Thank you to three new backers of my Wild Alaska project: Jean T., Lynda A., and Bobby H. I know it's tough for most people to get involved this close to Christmas.

Yesterday, I consulted with Clark James Mishler, creator of two great Alaska pictorial books (Portrait Alaska, and Anchorage: Life at the Edge of The Frontier). At this time, I'm planning on using the same publishing company he uses. They do very high quality work.

55 days to go to try and reach my goal. I've revised some of the incentives for those that want to get involved with the project. Go to www.Kickstarter.com and type "Wild Alaska" in their search engine to see the details.

    1. I can't think of a better example of bad timing to ask people for money than to ask for donations right before Christmas.
    2. For the next two months, people will be paying off their credit card purchases.
    3. What can the Alaska people tell us about "Clark James Mishler, creator of two great Alaska pictorial books (Portrait Alaska"?
    4. Does your friend, Dennis Zaki think about publishing a book of his photographs? He IS a professional photographer.
    5. "Thanks again to those who've already pledged. It's fun getting people I know involved in this." Yes, Chuck, you are right. It's fun to ask people for money and it's even more fun to get money from them. It must run in the family.
    6. How much is Sarah's PAC going to kick in?

It's fun to beg people to finance your pipe dream!

      What a pathetic display.

Get a real job, Chuckles. Your young second wife thought she'd hit the jackpot when she started schtupping you behind your first wife's back. You're letting her down.

He plans on using the same publisher - LMAO - But does the publisher plan on using you Chuckie?? Think that name recognition thing will get you in the door? You better know how to use a camera - and the self -publishing feature on the internet.

I felt exactly the same way. It took me three tries to watch the entire documentary, This MUST go viral or Rachel Maddow needs to do an expose'
