You may think you are tired of 2014 end of the year roundups that is because you have not yet seen Betty Bowers end of the year roundup.

Okay I think I love this woman.

I especially loved this part.

I got asked that question once by a boss and my reply was: Orthodox Heathen. I'm actually agnostic but have learned not to talk about religion with others so I prefer to treat it with humor. The boss didn't think it was funny; no, not at all.

@Balzafiar. I tend to quote the 1st amendment, just to gauge what reaction I get.

When someone wishes me a Merry Christmas, I usually just say happy Hannukah.

It's rare for anyone in a work or corporate environment to ever ask you about your religion, and it's probably against the law if it's done during a performance review

Balzafiar - I'm laughing. That boss must be a real piece of work. That was funny.

I think I will say I am an oppressionst. I just can't figure out if I am orthodox or reformed.

When reading a non-Palin related post on IM, I try very hard to not derail the comments by going off-topic and bringing everything back to Palin. I apologize but I can't help myself.

Palin went looking for Elon Musk cologne only to find out it wasn't a fragrance but a person. LOL.

Sometimes I almost feel sorry for her and hate to be constantly bashing someone. But she is so damn nasty, that the feeling quickly passes.

That story was part of a satirical blog, but it sure sounds like it would be something she'd do!

Hey, there's a business opportunity overlooked! Bottle Scarah's musk scent and sell it on C4P. No more begging for pennies from horny old men with chubbies.

And to make it even better, you wouldn't even have to go to the source. Use musk from an ox or something like that; no one would notice the difference.

Squeezing the sweat from her hot yoga pants would lend a scent unlike any other on the market.

I never cease to be amazed at the blindness/audacity of the Christians, Catholics, and Mormons/JW's, also known as CCMJW's

    1) More CCMJW in Congress, Statehouses, Governorships, and town councils by a huge margin than any other religious groups in 'Murica, while many of them are actively pushing their bible based doctrine on the rest of us, who are just unsaved trash.

    2) More CCMJW' houses of worship BY A HUGE AMOUNT than any other group.

3)CCMJW's amount to %78 percent of all citizens in the USA
    http://religions.pewforum.org/reports

    4) There are an estimated 321,380 congregations in the United States in November 2014.
    http://nccs.urban.org/statistics/quickfacts.cfm

    5) Religious "tithing" amounts to $82.5 billion a year that is totally exempt from taxes, government scrutiny, or oversight.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/08/22/you-give-religions-more-than-82-5-billion-a-year/

That's almost certainly a lowball, as it does not account for the cost of a number of subsidies, like local income and property tax exemptions, the sales tax exemption, and — most importantly — the charitable deduction for religious given.

The estimate that religious groups own $680 billion in property is also probably low, since it leaves out property besides actual churches, mosques, etc.

So, that's 78% of the population, enjoying 680 billion of tax free income, property, and government credit, and all the while these charlatans like Palin, Joel Osteen, Charles Dobson, and Franklin Graham are whining about how badly they are being oppressed
    by evil secularists.

Joel Osteen lives in a 10 million dollar house, drives the best cars, has a net worth of $40 MILLION, and enjoys being one of the .0001%, and he prides himself on not taking a "salary".
But unlike you or me, he doesn't pay taxes because he's a "pastor"

To a rational person, open to critical thinking and analysis, those are startling statistics, and the should be causing outrage and sudden and relentless reform.

I saw photos of Osteen's house and silicone wifey, that's not a house, it's a fucking nation! And the sheep gladly drink hot salt water while giving them money. It's just beyond me how people allow others to fleece their last penny. Some "congregants" leave everything to them in their wills. Not too shabby, but how does he sleep at night?

Good one 11:19! Yes they are Heathens, aren't they? But I'm sure your Mom was just teasing. Besides, the Heathens weren't known to her at the time, I'm sure!

She's spot on, every single word. I lost it when she called rectal feeding "normal" for Darth Chaney. She's my go to christian since Leah Burton left her blog. Betty's abiding "love" of all things Palin cracks me up.
