Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Image of the day.
I think that this picture sums up my feelings about religion perfectly.
Obviously that is for some kind of baptism. What kind? I've never seen a naked baby being baptized. Usually they are dressed in all their finery. Beaglemom

Sadly, kid, you'll be fighting this fight for the rest of your life.
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteLove it- thanks for posting Gryph!
ReplyDeleteWhat's really funny is that since babies don't have too much manual dexterity at that age, this baby REALLY is trying to hang on and not get dipped!!
Looks like Greek Orthodox baptism. Google that and you'll see images of other resistant babies. Reminds me of trying to bath a cat!
ReplyDeleteUnprofessional photoshop.
ReplyDeleteLooks like my cat when I try to put him in his carrier.
ReplyDeleteI thought the priest was holding the child like that so he wouldn't get peed on.
ReplyDeleteThere's one picture of an about 4-year-old girl watching the baby get dunked. Hope she doesn't try this at home!
ReplyDeleteThe expression of the girl in the background is very creepy...like I've seen in a movie where the pack follows the leader to their death.
ReplyDeleteChild abuse. No other word for it.
ReplyDeleteTradition. Thats the other word you are looking for.
DeleteChild abuse lol.... sure thing bud, sure thing.
