Did Israel spy on the US/Iran negotiations and then give that information to the Republicans? Maybe.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Israel has been accused of spying on White House nuclear talks with Iran and then leaking details to Republicans in Congress in an effort to scupper the deal.

President Obama's administration, along with Russia, China, France, Germany and Britain, have been engaged in highly confidential talks with Iran.

However, Israel's security services have been accused of relaying information gleaned from the talks to Republicans in Congress.

The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. intelligence agencies discovered Israeli officials discussing information that could have only been gathered from inside the confidential talks.

A senior U.S. official told the Wall Street Journal: 'It is one thing for the U.S. and Israel to spy on each other. It is another thing for Israel to steal U.S. secrets and play them back to U.S. legislators to undermine U.S. diplomacy.

A White House source said: 'People feel personally sold out. That’s where the Israelis really better be careful because a lot of these people will not only be around for this administration but possibly the next one as well.'

Of course Netanyahu completely denies this whole thing and the outgoing foreign minister added this:

'This report is not true. Obviously Israel has security interests to defend and we have our own intelligence. But we do not spy on the United States. There are enough participants in these negotiations, including Iranians.

Okay nice try but the fact that Israel has been spying on America for years is one of the best known secrets in Washington.

However the fact that they might be funneling information about the Obama administration's attempt to reach a nuclear deal with Iran to Republicans so that they can sabotage them, well that is a new, and ugly, wrinkle indeed.

For his part John Boehner  claims to be shocked, shocked I say, at reports the Israelis might be handing secrets to his Congress.

You know I believe him about as much as I believe Netanyahu.

Republicans try to make it harder for minorities to vote.

Republicans constantly go behind our minority president’s back just to make him look bad.

    What does that tell you?

Spying on us is one of Israel's favorite pastimes. Gotta love our wonderful Democratic ally.

Anon 4:20, neither have I. But I think American's love for Israel (outside of Congress) is fast souring too. They better reign it in, or they can say goodbye to all those billions of subsidies and support we give Israel.

""Thank you all very, very much. Thank you. It is wonderful being here with all of you, among so many friends and I feel like this is a giant family reunion. The largest AIPAC gathering in history and I feel like I am among family ..............(cont).................And finally, I want to thank all of you for coming to Washington, D.C., once again to stand strong with Israel and to strengthen that special bond between our countries. Being here today, I am reminded of a passage in Isaiah: "Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have posted sentinels; all day and all night, they shall never be silent." Just like the sentinels of old, you are never silent, you never grow weary and you never stop standing up for and fighting for Israel. (cont)""

Beginning of a Hillary speech to AIPAC 2008 (just one of many).

      The end part:

""To the members of AIPAC, just know your cause is just, your voice is strong. Washington and the world is listening. So go forth and speak up for what you know is right.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless Israel and God bless America. Thank you all very much.""

So the Republicans are either complete nincompoops when it comes to matters of Foreign Policy and Arms Negotiations...

Or they are Traitors in Bed with the Mossad...

Whatever they admit to should finish them off...

Time to cut the umbilical cord. Israel needs to start paying some of its own freight. I am tired of my tax dollars being used to decimate Gaza and build settlements where they shouldn't be. Enough, already!

Anonymous 4:20, I know that part of the reason why evangelical Christians will support *ANYTHING* that Israel does is because they believe that the restoration of Israel is a key component to the second coming of Christ. If Israel does not remain a nation, then no apocalypse. Boo-hoo.

I grew up with a father who spouted these beliefs. There are plenty of Americans who share them. They believe that anything that Israel does is a-okay, because "it's in the Bible!"

Thank God this Republican Party wasn't around to pal around with Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. If they were, they would be working behind closed doors to overthrow our foreign policy and we would be saluting Herr Boehner and the White Supremacist Congress.
