Kathy Griffin made a big impression on “The View’s” producers as a guest last Monday. They’ve now batted around the idea of asking the comedian to consider a regular guest-hosting gig, which might lead to a full time position on the show, Confidenti@l has learned.
“She was great and has Whoopi (Goldberg)’ s backing. Whoopi loves Kathy,” says our insider at the talk show. “ ‘The View’ would be a perfect fit if Kathy wanted to fly to New York weekly. It’s a Monday-through-Thursday job and she can tour on the weekends, the best two nights to sell tickets.”
Gee I bet that Sarah and Bristol's feet are still swollen from their victory dance last week over news that Kathy quit, or as the Palins put it was fired from, her gig with the Fashion Police. And here she is with a potential new job already.
Maybe it is just the mean girl side of my personality, but how cool would it be to see Nicolle Wallace and Kathy Griffin sitting side by side trading barbs about the Palins?
So cool.
ReplyDeleteI think "guest-host" is a great idea!! The show would definitely benefit from her energetic personality and it would work well with her touring schedule. Win win! I watch every time Kathy makes an appearance. Plus she could cozy up to Wallace and eventually grill her for some good Palin dirt and use it in her act!! That would be awesome!!

A&E aren't going to submit to any petition killing a cash cow. They'll cancel Duck Dynasty when it no longer makes any money.
I am sick of moveon sending me e-mails after I've specifically said no. Every time I sign something I still have to go back and unsubscribe when I never subscribed in the first place.
As for this petition? It is a waste of time.

ReplyDeleteI think Kathy Griffin is almost as vile and repellent as Sarah and Bristol Palin. If she got the View gig, the View would become even less "must see" tv for me than it already is. That said, I hope that vicious, unfunny, vain hag does get the job, just to stick it to the Palin Godzilla and Godzilla Jr.
ReplyDeleteKathy is an entertainer. Her live shows are no more 'vile' than George Carlin's or Richard Pryor's were. Or maybe you just don't like straight talk from a woman? Were you a fan of Totie Fields, the first overweight female comedian? Or Moms Mabley? Those women were not afraid to say what they felt, and I applaud them. I thin k Kathy would be a tremendous asset to a fading show.

But there are moments where she has done a put down such as after the ho's down at the birthday party. There are plenty of things Nico knows and she probably has a dumpster full of stuff on the Palins but the time isn't right to take out the trash.

Many people are as vile as the Palins. Many people are worse than the Palins. Just because the Palins are horrible doesn't mean they don't have plenty of competition. DeleteKathy Griffin's comedy style may sometimes be raunchy, she cusses and tells pussy jokes. She tells humorous stories with plenty of observational humor too, but she doesn't just viciously belittle others. She does however make fun of others. But then of course she also makes fun of herself too. So it all evens out. She is a professional comedienne, that's what she's paid to do. If you don't find her comedy funny, that's your choice. Just say that much and move on, at least that way your ignorance won't be so obvious!!
Well, that would ensure Sarah would never pop by for a gab session. Sarah's so-called 'zingers' are written by somebody else in advance of her appearances, while Kathy's come rapid fire. She'd shred Sarah to pieces, and I would pay to watch!
