Republicans are all in a lather over an anti-Hillary book written by a former Sarah Palin consultant. Oh this should go well.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

The book does not hit shelves until May 5, but already the Republican Rand Paul has called its findings “big news” that will “shock people” and make voters “question” the candidacy of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

“Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich,” by Peter Schweizer — a 186-page investigation of donations made to the Clinton Foundation by foreign entities — is proving the most anticipated and feared book of a presidential cycle still in its infancy.

The book, a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times, asserts that foreign entities who made payments to the Clinton Foundation and to Mr. Clinton through high speaking fees received favors from Mrs. Clinton’s State Department in return.

“We will see a pattern of financial transactions involving the Clintons that occurred contemporaneous with favorable U.S. policy decisions benefiting those providing the funds,” Mr. Schweizer writes.

As some of you may have heard Rand Paul is giggling like a school girl over the idea that some hidden secret is about to be revealed in this book that will destroy Hillary's candidacy.

And a whole lot of Right Wing news outlets, and a few considered legitimate, are all lining up to interview Schwiezer and get access to copies of the book before it hits the shelves.

However as Media Matters points out, in quite some detail, Schweizer is far from a reliable source known for accurate reporting.

And that is something that Rachel Maddow detailed on her show last night.

In my opinion all that has to be known about Schweizer to ignore anything he has written, is that for a couple of years he served as one of Sarah Palin's consultants.

And since we all know how well informed SHE was, it kind of stands to reason that Schweizer plays fast and loose with the facts.

The question we have to ask ourselves is knowing that the Clintons are savvy political animals, and knowing that Hillary has had her sights set on the presidency for probably decades now, do we REALLY think that there is any hard evidence that she auctioned off her influence to the highest bidder to donate to the Clinton Foundation?

No, I seriously doubt that there is.

And even if there were, do we think this stumble bum would be the one to uncover it?

Nah, in my opinion this is just one of a number of hit pieces that will come flying at Hillary. In the end we will file it away with Email-gate, Benghazi-gate, and whatever the conservatives pull out of their ass next-gate.

Of course they are. Those people.....every day open with God and Bible, call politicians they deem not conservative (and those damn libruls) every name under the sun, get in board wars with each other, then off to beddie-by for prayers to God so they can get up and do it all over again. As many here have said, there's the tea party for you. They think they can do anything want because they'll be forgiven.

You left out their calls to overthrow our government, have our military turn their weapons on the POTUS, and the impending Marshall law, during which President Obama will announce that he won't step down! All this woven with vg's pompous ramblings (which are in demand in institutions of higher learning, and requested by philosophers worldwide...)

Considering Schweizer was Palin's foreign policy consultant, and we ALL know how little she understands of it every time she opens her yap, I'll take what he says with a grain of salt.

How much money in the Bushes' accounts are Saudi dollars? What about Palin and the trust fund that is increasingly hinted at here? You know she'll crow about it....projection is her middle name.

Let's just cut to the chase, foreign donations are small potatoes compared to the Game of Thrones level of killing-your-way-to-the-top the Clintons have long practiced.

It must be true, it was in all the video tapes being passed around back in the day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Clinton's Foundation for charitable and other "good" causes?

Why would I care where the money came from?

It's not like it's a slush fund for the Clinton's the way SarahPac is for the Palins.

The more money we can get from offshore into our country's legitimate non-profit organizations, the better!

Besides, as an international charity it makes perfect sense that they'd seek and accept funds from international sources.

Plus, it's a prestigious foundation that international organizations would want to be affiliated with.

Did I miss something? Or is my problem that I can think?

ThinkProgress obtained an advance copy of Clinton Cash, which will be released May 5. Schweizer makes clear that he does not intend to present a smoking gun, despite the media speculation. The book relies heavily on timing, stitching together the dates of donations to the Clinton Foundation and Bill Clinton’s speaking fees with actions by the State Department.

Schweizer explains he cannot prove the allegations, leaving that up to investigative journalists and possibly law enforcement. “Short of someone involved coming forward to give sworn testimony, we don’t know what might or might not have been said in private conversations, the exact nature of the transition, or why people in power make the decision they do,” he writes. Later, he concludes, “We cannot ultimately know what goes on in their minds and ultimately provide the links between the money they took and the benefits that subsequently accrued to themselves, their friends, and their associates.”

Though Schweizer is unable to provide direct evidence that State Department actions were influenced by Clinton Foundation donations, he does raise questions about unsavory donors and possible conflicts of interest, regardless of whether or not they dictated Clinton’s policy.

Well, Republicans aren't gonna like this latest development.

According to the latest CNN/ORC poll, the Obama resurgence is being fueled by the growing economy. Fifty-two percent of respondents called the U.S. economy very or somewhat good while 48% said the economy was very or somewhat poor. The President’s approval rating has increased with 18-29-year-olds (57%), women (51%), Democrats (88%), and liberal Democrats (97%).

The news gets even better for Obama when his approval rating is stacked up against the previous three two-term presidents. With the exception of Bill Clinton, President Obama is faring better than or equal to the most recent two-term presidents.

She interacts with personal information (waaay too much posted recently...), jokes and general ass kissing, calling everyone darlin' and (gag) occasionally a pathetic 70 year old attempt at flirting. Her nightly sign offs are saccrine laced and as redundant as pbp's scripture posts. I think she is a lonely old woman, who goes online in search for companionship, rather than politics. She has a very active mean girl persona, as well. Right, tbo?
