Well while most people were reacting with horror at the devastation that resulted from that earthquake in Nepal, Miano had an entirely different reaction.
.@CNN Praying 4 the lost souls in Nepal. Praying not a single destroyed pagan temple will b rebuilt & the people will repent/receive Christ.

Yeah nothing like a devastating earthquake, and an astronomical loss of innocent life, to convince the heathens to reject thousands of years of religious tradition and embrace the Christian god, who Christians believe is responsible for all natural phenomena on earth.Good sales pitch.
(H/T to The Friendly Atheist.)
So that means what, any Christians or Jews who died/were injured in Nepal were an "oopsie" on God's part, or perhaps the RW hawks' favorite euphemism, "collateral damage"?
ReplyDeleteIf there is a just God, why does he punish innocent people like this? The tsunami victims also. Unless he us practicing for the BIG one which will be DC where all the shysters congregate? Was it God's punishment that Cameron's movie was as big a flop as all the PayMe's reality shows?
ReplyDeleteThis supposed christian needs a time transport. . . .
ReplyDeleteLong trek for the missionary through a jungle. Tragic boat ride. Lots of crocodiles.
“I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

It is astounding the number of "Christians" that don't understand the teachings of Christ...
ReplyDeleteand just how evil, wicked, mean and nasty their ignorance can be.
Maybe God played a joke on these guys, making them as ugly as they are?
ReplyDeleteSo then massive deadly earthquakes in predominately Christian areas should encourage the survivors to convert to Hinduism.
ReplyDeleteAnd they wonder why church attendance is down......
ReplyDeleteThey are doing more to destroy their religion than any other group in the world.
This guy has a very limited and Old Testament-ish image of Christianity. Natural phenomena are, just that, natural phenomena. Christians should feel empathy and concern for the well-being of the survivors and want to make their immediate situation better. Christ taught that we should "love one another" as we love ourselves and the "one another" includes everyone, not just someone who looks and thinks just as you do. This guy clearly has a problem with that.

How does he explain the massive tornadoes that hit the bible belt constantly? Hmm. .?
ReplyDeleteAlso too, Oklahoma and its rash of earthquakes. Lots of fundies there too. Their god must be trying to send them a message...
DeleteAll God's Children have wings.
ReplyDeleteEvery one of the 10,000 souls who have been killed wll be sent to the Heavenly Gates, and allowed in because they did not worship a false god, or mammon, but died in a state of grace.
Sarah, when your time comes, you should be so lucky. Fleeing the innocent, lying about your devotion, and ignoring the needs of those among you who need help, bearing false witness -- purgatory for you, for many best friends. Enjoy hellfire with Franklin Graham, Rush Limbaugh, David Koch. Rupert Murdoch, and the rest of your godless posse.
It's christians like this that give christians reason enough to become at least agnostic. I don't believe in a god, but I have more respect for the dead of any religion than to put words like those to paper. Where's the outrage from other christians? What does banana boy have to say about the statement and those men, women and children whose only "sin" was sleeping?
