The war of words between Bristol Palin and her jilted Medal of Honor-winning ex got suddenly more heated on Wednesday when her best friend appeared to slam the military hero as a 'coward.'
Marina Lupas quoted reggae legend Bob Marley with a large message on her Facebook page clearly aimed at former Marine Dakota Meyer. 'The biggest coward is a man who awakens a woman's love with no intention of loving her,' she posted.
I ABSOLUTELY think that Sarah set the whole thing up, and most likely coaxed Bristol into giving Dakota a tumble, but also I think that Bristol really thought she was in love.
I have heard from a number of sources that Bristol falls into what she perceives as love quite readily, but that it is fairly temporary. And once Bristol is over you, she is by God over you.
We actually all saw that for ourselves during an episode of "Life's a Tripp" where Bristol suddenly flips out on boyfriend Gino Paoletti, and dumps his ass off at the side of the road.
So yes I think that Bristol thought she and Dakota were going to be in love forever, because that's what she does. However if anything is going to convince Bristol to throw you to the curb it is the revelation that you have been married before and never bothered to tell her.
Which I think we all know is exactly what happened here.
You know the other day some troll in the commenting section suggested that all of this drama is boring and that we should only cover Sarah Palin's political Facebook postings and Fox News appearances.
I wholeheartedly disagree with that.
To be honest I have been extremely bored with a lot of the repurposed word salad that has fallen out of Palin's maw lately, and the ghostwritten Facebook posts are becoming so cookie cutter that I could easily cut and paste old posts of my own to cover them.
However scandalous episodes like the drunken brawl, that crazy ass speech in Iowa, and now this broken engagement, undermine the carefully crafted mythology that Palin has worked so hard to create.
No her family is NOT all about Christian values. No she is NOT good at giving speeches without a teleprompter and careful preparation. And no her daughter is NOT a born again virgin who is waiting for the right man to put a ring on her finger before giving him an all day pass to her personal theme park. (She essentially lived with Dakota for almost two months, and you can really only shoot guns together for so long.)
No these salacious stories are essentially now the most important ones concerning the Palins because they prove to those who at one time were ignorant enough to support Sarah Palin that they were duped, and that the Palin critics were right all along.
And it also hopefully helps them to develop a healthy skepticism toward the next Christian family phony who comes along and starts using religion, and conservative political speak, to convince them that they are the answer to their prayers.
Right now the newest gossip, and this is actually catching fire even among those who know Bristol, is that the relationship she has with Marina is now developing into something a little more....complicated.

Bristol is immature and uneducated. Not only that, given her dysfunctional family, I think we can say that she is definitely maladjusted and does not know how to handle relationships. She has done nothing with her life, and as long as she lives with Sarah she will continue to screw up.

I think that Dakota was smitten with Sarah Palin, too. She gushed all over him when he appeared on her Amazing America last year. I don't think that any other politician showed an interest in getting connected with Meyer. When Sarah and Dakota met up again in Las Vegas this January, you could see that they were on the same stupid side of the fence, holding that FUC- Michael Moore sign. Both of them acted on the spur of the moment impulse, and neither thought to figure out what the long range consequences were. For a MOH Marine, that was dishonorable. For Palin, she never appeared on Fox after that time.
ReplyDeleteBy the time Dakota introduced Sarah at CPAC, Sarah had her official photographer capture the special moments when Bristol and Dakota fell in love. Sarah probably orchestrated the match, and I agree with Gryphen. I think that Bristol was in love with the idea of being in love and being married to someone important. Sarah saw that the engagement of Bristol and Dakota brought great publicity. She and Dakota could team up to speak to veterans groups. Dakota saw all of this as his entry into the world of politics.
I still want to know what happened when Bristol asked Dakota about his marriage to Cassandra. If it was just a simple, "Hey, I was young and I made a mistake. I rushed into marriage when I was 19" that should have given Bristol a moment to consider how quickly she and Dakota rushed into an engagement and marriage. End of January to the middle of May is a relatively short time to really get to know each other. Why did Dakota keep his marriage and divorce a secret and how did he handle the discussion with Bristol when it became public? Sometime happened to make her cancel the wedding (not a postponement) and get out of Kentucky fast. The thing that is sad about the whole Bristol and Dakota business is how they played their romance, engagement and break up publicly in their instagram photos and messages. That may be the way the young people communicate these days, but for Bristol, it's time to stop posting photos and using Tripp as her photo prop. It is time for her to grow up and accept some responsibility for her life. God isn't the one making the wedding arrangements or breaking them. That was in her hands, and Dakota's. Keeping his marriage to Cassandra a secret was a big warning sign that he probably is keep other secrets, too. Bristol and Sarah didn't spend much time vetting this guy.

ReplyDeleteSecondly I think she was never taught any ways of dealing with or being taught about different emotions. She is either in Luv or hates. She has no skills nor likely the intelligence to deal with disappointment, frustration, crushes, feelings of joy, or any other emotion.
That said, she is 24, a parent, and supposedly held down a job for years. She needs to start thinking in terms of putting her child first. Tripp shouldn't be hauled across the country every time Bristol's crotch gets hot for some guy. He shouldn't even be meeting all those men until Bristol has developed a stable relationship and a committed relationship.
I do think the whole Duhkotas "hidden" marriage was just an excuse to dump a failing business deal between Doh' and Sarah. I think Sarah promised Duh' and his friends a reality show, and Duh was going to provide Bristol with a fake husband.
When Sarah failed to come across with the reality show, which I assume would have started with the Memorial Day weekend wedding I think even dumb DuhKota realized he didn't want to be saddled with Bristol long term.
I also think Marina's post is sooo contrived because on all the articles about Bristol and this wedding that failed to launch most sympathies of commenters seemed to side with Duh'.
That's my take on it anyway.
Very interesting suggestion about the whole marriage being posed for a reality show. That is not beyond credibility at all. In fact, that sounds true-to-form for both Sarah and Bristol. It would also explain why the engagement was professionally photographed (by a former Bush White House photographer, no less) BEFORE the actual engagement was even ANNOUNCED!! THAT may well be the hidden elephant in the room: a busted business deal that left Sarah sour just when she needed the money most (to pay off the court-ordered judgment that is coming her way 3-2-1 from the United States Federal Court in New Jersey).

What Sarah objected to, I believe, is Bristol confessing and professing her true love for Marina. Bristol coming out of the closet was simply out of the question. Dakota agreed to help Sarah pry Bristol from the evil, though loving, arms of Marina. It didn't work, and the sloppy subterfuge blew up in Sarah's face.
All of the recent pics posted by Bristol seem to have a defiant "We're back together and no one is going to tear us apart" quality.

Well, IMHO, this whole wedding thinggy was just a farce. I was surprised how how many had to flee from their abusive spouse that was in the military or a cop. ReplyDeleteI think she intended to have a wedding. They could have been married in Vegas and had the documents sealed. But, one can have a wedding and not have a marriage license. The only thing we know for sure is that Dakota was married at least once, No one has ever really proved a documented divorce. The divorce may have been on a to do list and never was completed or started. She didn't have money to fly home from Hawaii so there may have not been the funds to file and finalize.
Bristol wanted to have a ring and a wedding. And, it would seem that this was one of those arranged marriages, done by Sarah, Medal and Mommy LLC.

Question is why does Bristol falls in love so easy and so fast? To answer that question you have to look back at her high school days.

My aunt dated this guy her parent's weren't too keen on, and she got herself a dress, applied for a wedding license, and after she eloped in front of the Justice of the Peace, she went home and announced "I went ahead and did it, I'm married to Mr. Smith and there's nothing you can do to change it". She packed her things, and moved out.
ReplyDeleteI'm not suggesting it's the way for everyone, but it worked out fine with them, and after about six years of cold shoulders and unanswered letters, her parents came to the realization if they don't change, they won't be part of her daughter's life and the grandkids that came later. They even agreed to a small church wedding, just a few friendsa and family, because it was important to the bride and groom.
