Courtesy of Bloomberg:
In a video address to this weekend's Southern Republican Leadership Conference during which he made his case as a potential presidential candidate, Graham asserted that his experiences dealing with the clientele of his parents' business taught him that "the Iranians are lying" when it comes to the ongoing nuclear negotiations with the Obama administration.
"My family owned a restaurant, a pool room, and a liquor store, and everything I know about the Iranians I learned in the pool room," Graham said in the video. "I ran the pool room when I was a kid and I met a lot of liars, and I know the Iranians are lying."
Later in his address, Graham doubled down on his characterization of Iranians.
“The Iranians cheat and they lie. They are a radical regime," he said. "They want a master religion for the world; the Nazis wanted a master race."
That's right folks Iranians are liars who want to become Nazis and Graham knows this for a fact because....well you know that whole pool hall thing.
I know what you are thinking, "Oh come on Gryphen you are making this up just to smear Lindsey Graham."
And my response to that is "Nuh uh, here's the video, watch it for yourself smarty pants."
(Actually Graham's eyes are rimmed in red, his face is flush and blotchy, and he looks like he is on the verge of tears through most of the video.)
So I guess that means Lindsey thinks all Republicans are Iranian
ReplyDeleteUsing Lindsey's logic, that makes perfect sense indeed!
DeleteHe knows the Iranians are lying, but he didn't know Cheney and pals LIED about the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. His liar detection varies in proportion to the profit to be made by his friends.
ReplyDeleteIt's beginning to look like the whole clown car is filled with totally undeniable nutcases.
ReplyDeleteToo bad Reagan closed down all the loony bins in the country. There would BE no conservative R's running if he had left them functioning.
Another RWNJ absolutely crazy fucking republican.Actually are there any other kind?
ReplyDeleteI so get his logic. A few years ago I leased my house to a couple from So Carolina who provided good references and proof of their job transfer to CA. They paid the rent for a few months, I guess just to fool me, cause they quit paying, refused to pay and waited out the eviction time frame and left the night before the sheriff was to put them out.
ReplyDeleteI now know not to trust anyone from So Carolina especially when I see the type of people they elect to office. They love to lie (Graham) and steal (Hopkins, the tenants) and what's worse, they left a half-torn apart motorcycle in the dining room. Thugs, all of 'em!
Gee, that's awful nice of you, 12:28. Shoving everyone in the state into the same box as the pigs who screwed you and idiots like Graham.
DeleteAnd just so you know, I am being extremely sarcastic. Once again I feel it necessary to yank someone short for making idiotic flat statements.
There are a lot of people in this state who cannot abide people like Graham and the garbage who shafted you. Just because YOU had problems with one batch doesn't mean we all are that way.
Please try to accept that as the truth.
There are a lot of people in this state who cannot abide people like Graham and the garbage who shafted you.
DeleteJust as there are a lot of people in Iran who are not like the ones that 12:28 was describing.
And just so you know, I am being extremely sarcastic.
I take it that you have rejected the possibility that 12:18 was being extremely sarcastic, that 12:18 was mocking Graham's reasoning rather that emulating it. Perhaps I'm naive, but right from "I so get his logic" I thought that 12:18 was taking the piss out of Ms. Lindsey. What tipped you off that he actually meant every word of it?
What tipped me off? The intense, vicious sentiments. Anything that strongly worded, if it was sarcasm, should have been stipulated as I did.
DeleteIf I am wrong, then all the writer has to do is come back and say so and I will back off. Until then....
The intense, vicious sentiments are what led me to my conclusion. I guess some corollary to Poe's Law applies here.
DeleteTed, I know far too many people who actually believe what 12:28 stated. I repeat: If I am wrong, then all the writer has to do is come back and say so and I will back off. Until then....
DeleteAint Bee always looks like she just woke up from a fainting couch and could succumb to the vapors at any moment.

ReplyDeleteI googled C4P—Conservatives for Palin was the second result. The first? A swingers site: Club Foreplay (c4p.com)
There is no doubt the SC Lindsey said that and more. I am no fan of Lindsey. But in defense of America and Americans? We have been way too gullible, forgiving, naïve, and such. Liars are everywhere. Even in our congress. and since bars and pool halls are now the identifier than it should be easy in DC. Keep your enemies close.
ReplyDeleteGraham just showed his real character. None of that fake southern charm at that gathering. Just imagine his convictions about other groups of people: Israelis, African Americans, Hispanics from any country, all other Middle Easterners, Orientals, and just about anyone else on planet Earth who is not a white southerner. Ms. Graham, you need to pull out of the presidential race right now. I wonder if anyone on the Sunday talk shows will ask him (or his best buddy, John McCain) about this most unstatesmanlike statement of his. Will any of the NYTimes columnists go after him for it?
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
“The Iranians cheat and they lie. They are a radical regime," he said. "They want a master religion for the world; the Nazis wanted a master race.
ReplyDeleteJust insert REPUBLICANS in place of Iranians... WHO voted for this imbecile??? Impeach this creepy radical....

Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert Indicted On Federal Charges
The Justice Department charged the Illinois Republican Thursday for evading reporting requirements and lying to the FBI as part of a scheme to pay off victims of “prior bad acts.”
Link to indictment https://s3.amazonaws.com/s3.documentcloud.org/documents/2089603/hastert-indictment.pdf
"In the indictment, Hastert is accused of agreeing to pay one individual $3.5 million.
Although the indictment does not specify the “bad acts,” sources said they could be from before Hastert, who is now a lobbyist in Washington, entered politics in 1980."
This has to be way more than some dickpic blackmail imo.
WTF?!
ReplyDelete"Prior to entering politics, Hastert was a teacher and football and wrestling coach in Yorkville, Illinois, from 1964 until 1980, when he was elected to the state House of Representatives"
Do we get to use Duggar?
After reading the indictment I strongly suspect that this is a duggar.

Well, he was my teacher during that time. And I believe I know exactly what the payoff is for. When he entered politics it was all about to come out then, but it didn't. Those that knew constrained themselves. I can't say I know for sure, but the dots connect . . . We'll see what comes out. "

DeleteSo they are not to be trusted because "They want a master religion for the world?" Hmm, sounds like very crackpot GOP pol in the US.
ReplyDeleteS,o Ms Graham pals around with iranians in a pool hall.Substitute "Bush" "Cheyney" or any GOP candiate, and he's got something. As far as I know, patronizing a business that in any way shape or form sells alcohol is a huge no no in the Muslim Faith. So he's the liar. Cheeses, what is it with the GOP and Bars? Boner, the leader, was weaned behind a bar, and Ms Lindsey racked them up for the Iranians, on a pool table no less!
ReplyDeleteI agree, his complexion looks blotchy, his skin's oily, and he has blackheads deep in the crevaces the wrinkles make. He needs to go to the powder room and powder his nose (just the outside,Lindsey).
Maybe Miss Lindsey has his pantaloons in a twist because not one of those Iranians (yes, in a pool hall in SC) made a pass at him? Maybe one made a date then didn't show up, making him a liar. I wonder if he will be asking little lumpy Johnny McCain for advice on his VP? Maybe he will pick little Johnny?
ReplyDeleteLindsey has been playing pocket pool with his hand in someone's pocket.
ReplyDeleteSeveral of my gay friends say that Lindsey Graham is known as Miss Lindseybelle!! Love it!!! John McCain's favorite girl!!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of not so closeted Republicans, Buzzfeed has an update on the Hastert indictment.
ReplyDelete"WASHINGTON — U.S. Attorney Zachary T. Fardon agreed to withhold details of former House Speaker Dennis Hastert’s alleged “prior misconduct” against an unidentified individual as part of an indictment against the Illinois Republican, two sources familiar with the case told BuzzFeed News."
http://www.buzzfeed.com/johnstanton/former-us-speaker-of-the-house-dennis-hastert-indicted#.map40Dy9ob
More details
"According to sources familiar with the case, Fardon had originally been prepared to move forward with a much more explicit indictment of Hastert, who prior to serving in Congress was a high school teacher and wrestling coach for more than 15 years in Yorkville, Illinois.
But Fardon’s office ultimately agreed to limit the amount of information in the indictment, according to these sources, in part because of a request from Hastert’s attorneys."
So what the anonymous sources say makes me pretty sure that there definitely was something with the kids.
Something else for Republicans to be proud of!
"BuzzFeed News spoke with Maria Steiner, a teacher who taught French and Spanish at Yorktown High School from 1976 to 1980. Reached at her home in Ponte Verdra Beach, Florida, Thursday night, Steiner recalled Hastert as a dedicated wrestling coach who gave his teaching responsibilities less than his full attention.
“He was just the kind of teacher that would drive me crazy,” she said. “He would show movies in his class while he worked on wrestling stuff. He was kind of a slacker teacher.”"
Just the perfect guy to get rich and famous in Washington DC.

ReplyDeleteDennis Hastert made payments to conceal sexual misconduct, sources say
"Asked why Hastert was making the payments, the official said it was to conceal Hastert’s past relationship with the male. “It was sex,’’ the source said. The other official confirmed that the misconduct involved sexual abuse."
